Super happy with the work Townsend did for us. We used them years ago, so they were our first call. The headrest of our leather sofa became damaged. Townsend quickly made the repairs and did a great job matching the leather. He even had suggestions on how this may have happened & ways to avoid it in the future. A few things to know - they haven't been on Main Street for years. They are now located at 420 S Curryer. Don't be confused by the sign on the building - it's no longer the Piano Palace. We hit a couple of snags but only because our sofa has an actuator that moves the headrest. Once that was figured out, the owner actually delivered it to our home. We wanted to reupholster our leather couches that our boxers have over the last ten years have scratched up to the point that the leather was just peeling off (it wasn't leather we found out but a form of leather) First he has you text pictures of what you need done then he gives you a price. Our couches we loved because they were oversized, deep and really comfortable. They had good bones, just needed new leather! First he picked up the cushions and was honest that he was really busy and it may be a week to ten days. No rush, we have another sitting room. Then he picked up the couches and again we told him no rush. My couches look as they did the day we bought them except now it's really leather. We will get another ten years out of them. The manager said Gilberto was the best and she was not exaggerating. We have used two other upholsterers in town and Gilberto's work was clearly superior. I had a bad experience with this place because I went in and requested a change in the fabric and they did not, NOT, make the formal change of fabric. EVEN with ample time and formal visit requesting the change. he Owners response to it was ... Blaming an employee and saying that , she does not know what is going on..... My answer then ??? WHY do you have her there. actually my concerns were dismissed by the owner and $800.00 later, I felt upset that the owner did not agree to at least show concern for the mishap. My husband and I were having work done on our RV and decided to have the cab seats and couch reupholstered at the same time.
