I had just been to another dental clinic in Leominster, where I was seen by a young dentist who spent more time looking at x-rays of my teeth than actually looking in my mouth, then told me I needed 4 teeth extracted immediately, or I might risk the chance of sepsis from an infection in one of the teeth. I went to Dr. Cronin for a second opinion. He listened to my story of what had happened, looked at the same set of x-rays and examined my mouth, telling me that, "Yes, some of these teeth may need to come out, but not now." We proceeded on that basis. Some of those teeth have had to come out, but both the process and the cost were far more agreeable. And speaking of agreeable, Dr. Cronin is simply a very nice guy. Dr. Cronin now is semi-retired and I am seen by Dr. Dani, who is probably the most relaxed dentist I've ever seen. At the end of my first session with him, we fist-bumped--it came out of nowhere, feeling completely natural. Both Dr. Dani and Dr. Cronin actually listen to a patient and try to do what a patient wants; and the cost is reasonable. I do not have dental insurance and they lower the cost accordingly. Dr. Garibyan, an oral surgeon who specializes in "All-on-4," also known as full mouth implants, performs extractions, bone grafting, implants, places the prosthetic teeth, and can provide general anesthesia. Most cosmetic dentists I've met referred me to oral surgeons for tooth extractions, bone grafts, and implant surgery. The dentist only provides the implementation of the cosmetic teeth. I was quoted $45,000 for the oral surgery procedures and $45,000 for the dentist by four separate dental practices. Two of the practices didn't offer anesthesia, only novocaine and Xanax. One prosthodontist who didn't offer anesthesia actually told me that pulling all of my teeth and inserting metal implants into my jawbone wouldn't hurt! Patients of Dr. Garibyan seeking full mouth implants can avoid the exorbitant costs associated with using two dental professionals."
