There's a reason this place has bad reviews, and it's because the doctors here have superiority complex and love to gaslight you. Surprisingly this was the first place where reception people were kind but the doctors aren't. I waited months for an appointment, came to see Kobrakov, just for him to dismiss my pain and concerns and gaslight me by saying "nothing wrong, it's all in your head". What a disgusting and shameful doctor, if I've been dealing with this for a year plus had a biopsy too, why would it "all be in my head?" I will never come back and if I were you, I'd find somewhere else to go. read more

This office is a joke. The staff is less then professional and ridiculously rude. I have an entire experience to share but to summarize; I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out September 2022 and as a result ended up disfigured. I have lost sensation/functionality of the left side of my tongue, all thanks to 'Dr' (using DR Lightly because this guy probably got his credentials from the same place he got his people skills; the bottom of a Cracker Jack box) Carmine Colarusso. His office managers are no better covering his butt at every turn. He did what he did to me and insists that he did not (I didn't go in like this). Takes accountability for N O T H I N G and just uses his power to make you feel small after HIS actions caused permanent issues. I've posted a review to their page which they banned me from on Facebook. I also left one on their site that they probably disappeared too. To summarize-- if you want QUALITY work done by a sympathetic individual that can take responsibility when things go wrong-- look anywhere else but here. Two convenient locations in North Central Mass. very professional staff, very clean office and very modern equipment! (X-ray is circumferential without the old uncomfortable insert into mouth, aim a camera, wait, do it again, etc.- full bite wing electronic scan that comes up on screen immediately!) I've had both Drs (Carmine and Mikhail) over the years and both are excellent professional practitioners. Clinical staff always checks on your status and they explain everything very clearly. My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled and As a parent they did not make me feel comfortable, some of the staff was nice , some were rude as if " please and thank you " were against the facility's policy. Very odd confusing place. Way too fancy for a location next to a Walmart. Staff was very rude when a certain person I was with was trying to explain that she is hearing impaired and needed the staff member to speak up. When I gave my insurance info to the desk clerk she would not speak to me but would speak to the certain person I was with. Even though it's my insurance. Hope they don't mess up taking my wisdom teeth out. read more

I am shocked by the previous review. This place was beyond what I could have expected. I felt like i was walking into a 5 star hotel.The facility was beautiful. I scheduled my fiancé here to have his tooth extracted. Making the appointment was very easy and the receptionist provided me with all the information I needed including a range of what it would cost, so I would know exactly what the most I would have to pay would be. Upon arriving the receptionists were very welcoming. My fiancé has a overwhelming fear of dentists. Every staff member from start to finish made him feel comfortable, and put him at ease. I just had my surgery today. It was such a calm, non-nerve wracking experience. I've never had teeth pulled, so having four wisdom teeth out at once has the potential to make a newbie to dental surgery nervous. I went today, and I was so calm throughout the entire time (maybe even a little excited!), despite having a fear of IV needles. The assistants were engaging, talkative, and so funny. Right up until I was sedated, I really felt like I was a person, and not just another payday. When it came time for the IV, an assistant let me hold her hand and explained what was going on, which put me more at ease. I'm not sure what happened after (I briefly remember going to another room, asking for chapstick, and my numb mouth causing me to get water everywhere but down my throat on more than one occasion). But as of eight hours after the procedure, I've been in minimal pain and was given informative and detailed aftercare directions. I'd also like to add that one of the assistants also called to follow up and ask how I was doing as well this afternoon. Talk about customer service! I really am so happy my family and I chose this place. Never once was I scared of the procedure or that I was in bad hands. This my first surgical experience ever, and it has really set the standard high for how I want to experience any subsequent procedures. If you are looking into any sort of dental procedure, this is one place you need to look into. The friendly staff will give you an experience you won't forget. read more

Nice place, nice people, terrible quote system, very expensive!! Was told $282-469 for molar extraction. The higher price was if the tooth broke or complications happened. I had to have an extraction, and an evaluation of a spicule of bone left over from an earlier procedure. Dr. Baron decided to take out the spicule and do the extraction in one go. No charge for taking out the spicule. Recovery from the spicule surgery was very rapid, but the extraction site was painful and developed dry socket. I had two follow-up visits at CMOS - no extra charge. At all times the staff was extremely courteous, helpful and sympathetic. I highly recommend CMOS based on my experience. Thieves and liars! My son had two wisdom teeth removed. When we had the consult, they gave us an estimate. The price was reasonable especially since it was just two teeth instead of four. So we agreed and set the date. Two days before the appointment, I received a phone call saying the insurance didn't cover the anesthesia until after the appointment so I would have to pay and additional $600 more come the day of, and I was reassured that I would get a refund in about two weeks. This was just "standard procedure" they claimed. Now three weeks later, no refund, so I called them up. They now say that the insurance didn't cover any of the anesthesia and I still owe them money! They gave me excuses about the estimate and why it turned out to be SOO MUCH MORE that it just sounds fraudulent to me and I will be investigating further with the insurance company and Better Business Bureau. The doctor did do a good job, and my son is doing fine. Stars for the doctor... but no stars for their financial department. Save yourself the headache and money and go somewhere else! read more

My child had two teeth pulled here (5 years old) and all of the staff that we interacted with were excellent with her. They made her feel calm from the very beginning, with the woman checking us in recommending that she try out all of the seating in the waiting room to distract her. By the time they were walking us in, she had no problem leaving me in the surgical waiting room. I highly recommend this office for children! read more

I did not have a good experience. I went to them in 2009 to get my wisdom teeth pulled. This was back when their office was a small, simple, no-frills location next door to the RMV. I was put under anesthesia and my teeth were pulled within 45 minutes, however when they finished they sent me to a separate recovery room with blood dripping out of my mouth and it got on my white sweatshirt. No one assisted me with this, my girlfriend had to help clean me up. I paid nearly $1,000 for this procedure yet it felt very sloppy and unprofessional. I was in my 20's back then and had no idea what I was doing. I was not counseled on the proper way to clean out the holes in my gums with a water syringe. After eating chicken noodle soup all week, I had really bad breathe. It turns out there were pieces of chicken lodged in the holes where my wisdom teeth used to be, gross! I ended up getting an infection and had to go back which meant another office visit fee. For the second visit, the office moved to its current location, and I was horrified at how much overhead the new facility had. The new office basically looks like a showroom for Jordan's Furniture. The waiting room is excessively big and filled with unnecessarily expensive, lavish furniture. There are big screen HDTVs all over the place. I can see where all of the money from my procedure went. The same oral surgeon that pulled my wisdom teeth felt the bump in my mouth and prescribed penicillin without knowing what the infection was. After I finished the penicillin, the bump was still there. So I had to go back for a third visit. Again, another office visit fee. On the third visit, the same oral surgeon made an incision to take a swab sample and sent it to a lab. I had to pay yet another bill for the lab results. Turns out I had a staph infection, so he prescribed an excessive amount Augmentin. Augmentin is normally prescribed for 10 days, but he proscribed 3 weeks worth. I did not have prescription coverage at the time, so this medication was very expensive for me. During the second week I had diarrhea from the Augmentin, so I had to buy probiotics over the counter (another $20 or so). I went back for a fourth visit and the oral surgeon told me to stop the Augmentin. He determined that the infection was gone, but the bump left behind was just scar tissue from the incision that he made. So I basically bought 2 weeks worth of Augmentin for nothing. I still have this bump in my mouth to this day in 2015. The 3 extra office visits and medication expenses could have been prevented if I were properly counseled after my first procedure. I was a poor new college grad, so I didn't have much money at the time. I was very disappointed with my experience, and the way they spent money on lavish furniture/facilities in the new office felt like they put salt on the wound. read more

One of my bottom wisdom teeth had attempted extraction by a dentist and instead was chipped in half which resulted in intermittent bleeding. Dr. Connors successfully extracted both of my bottom wisdom teeth including the broken one. He did this in what seemed like 30 seconds, with the ease of retrieving a candy bar from a vending machine and using what looked like the same tools as the dentist. I even had to check the tray to look at my extracted teeth to make sure he actually did it. That alone earns 5 stars. I was then given supplies and post-surgery instructions, followed by relatively quick healing. Their waiting room is very nice, staff are friendly and attentive, whole process was well done from registration to exit. Major takeaway from this - if you need wisdom teeth extracted, go to a surgeon, not a dentist. read more

I had a wisdom tooth extraction and it healed poorly. I went back to see them and was started on antibiotics. They would not prescribe pain medication even though I reported a high level of pain. Im usually good with pain but not for this long. When the area is touched it is really 10/10. I called back and the M.D. still said no. I am very aware that prescribers are afraid to give people pain medication due to problems with narcotic addiction. This is NOT at all the case. All I asked for was one day supply. They really showed that they don't care. They put on an act like they are the best. It really comes down to the care you provide to your patients. This office was not willing to help me when I needed them to. Proof that having a nice pretty building does not make an office good. read more

Make absolutely sure that the procedure is covered by your insurance. CMOS charges different prices for their services depending on your insurer. Most offices sit with patients and explains the procedure, billing, and what you will owe. This office sends a letter. If you don't get the letter, you are stuck with a bill. read more

I was in desperate need of having all four of my wisdom teeth removed and I am so glad that my dentist referred me here! The office itself is gorgeous and the staff was beyond helpful and kind. I had so much anxiety leading up to the appointment, it plagued me for weeks. The day of the appointment I explained that I was nervous and the staff put me at ease. This place is extremely nice and the staff seems to be caring and kind. However, when I went in to have my wisdom teeth extracted, I was pretty nervous. From the second I got back there, I felt extremely rushed which added to my nervousness. I was immediately put into the chair, and hooked up to wires within minutes. Once my surgeon came in, he did not ask how I was doing, or feeling. Right away, he took my arm and they told me to relax and put a needle in me, and gave me extremely strong medicine. I would have appreciated them telling me what they were doing before they did it. I fell asleep immediately and woke up crying with bloody gauze hanging out of my mouth. this place SUCKS. the experience was terrible from the jump. this place is an intimidating scary building that feels like somewhere where men smoke cigars and bash women. I got my wisdom teeth out, Dr. Barran was my surgeon. He was rude and wasted no time with niceties before giving me an IV and i went to sleep. Had I not looked at the paperwork I would not have known his name and he likely did not care to know mine. It is unclear at the moment if he's done anything wrong but i wouldn't be surprised. Dr. Barran is a cocky, careless douche that I would recommend avoiding. The only positive experience from all of this was the women who came to get me from the waiting room, i think her name was Martha. It was scary to have surgery without my mom even inside the building (as i'm 16) and she is the only person that made me feel better. No one else comforted or even asked how i was doing. I took my daughter here as recommended by her dentist for an implant. She did not have a permanent tooth after her baby tooth was pulled. We both felt very uncomfortable there- place is very ornate like a very expensive lawyer office. The receptionists were very plastic and all wore the same blazers. Just had an odd feel- when we were brought back to the exam room an X-ray was taken and then discussed for a few minutes telling us everything is routine go to the receptionist to get an appointment. We felt so uneasy that we called a previously used oral surgeon to see if he did implants. They got us in right away was very thorough took an X-ray saw there was bone loss from cranial radiation when she had cancer treatment he then took a 3D X-ray that insurance wouldn't pay for to get a better look. He advised us to go to her oncologist to get an opinion and she advised against anything invasive as she was suffering bone loss do to her cranial radiation from 20 yrs earlier. I felt that this oral surgery office should have been more thorough as this could have potentially been a serious situation! I would recommend Dr Gill at Worcester Oral Surgery for any procedures very professional and thorough and the staff us very caring. read more

5 stars? I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. EVERY single person I dealt with here was fantastic. I am a hot mess when it comes to surgery but had to have a broken wisdom tooth removed. Receptionist told me I would get laughing gas and would know what was going on, but wouldn't care. I didn't believe her, and figured I'd be freaking out. She was right. Dr. ColaRusso came in a few minutes after the gas was administered gave my tooth a few tugs and it was out. Never felt a thing. Not. A. Thing. The whole procedure took 20 minutes. Fantastic place. Building is beautiful, too. Great people, great work. I'm an extremely anxious patient and I was absolutely blown away by what a great experience they provided for me. Highly recommended. read more

Disappointed we drove 90 minutes to the appointment only to find out that I couldn't stay in the room while my son had his procedure. Wouldn't be a huge deal if we had known, but we spent the week prepping him, reassuring him that we'd be right there with him, only to be told as we were walking in, that we couldn't stay. I had a tooth removed, no big deal. Everything went fine. But the reception staff sure leaves something to be desired! There are two woman there that work the front desk that completely rubbed me the wrong way. They were borderline rude and full of attitude. And it's happened twice on two separate occasions with two different woman. First time was for the tooth extraction and the second was to set up an appointment for a consultation (which they charge $120 for!) on extensive work including several implants (both encounters were in person). Well you would think that I was bothering them or something by the way I was talked down to. CMOS, these woman are your first contact to the paying public, shouldn't they be bending over backwards to be kind and accommodating? After all, we're talking $10,000 or more from one potential customer...ME! Oh well, I'm sure there's another dental office that will be happy to make me feel welcome and comfortable for that kind of money. read more
