    Arena Towson

Very nice well kept clean modern just need more food selections lol but recommend staff was nice lord the walk to the arena a fool lmao to much but I made it with these old legs lord

My son's car just broke down. I asked him, so do you need a tow son?
    Fox E.

Make sure your son doesn't park illegally here because if he does they will seriously Towson away. A very pretty, gorgeous campus. Quite rich, by the looks of it. Doesn't seem like Baltimore at all. My friends that go here are good peoples. I've spent a few nights on campus and it feels like a little city within a suburb. It's leafy and clean and safe and security is pretty good. But it's in a really nice area so maybe they don't have much to do. The only problem here is the tuition. Too much for me, and I think too much considering it's not one of the top 50 schools in the country by any stretch of the imagination. But particularly for out of state students it costs a fortune. Still, a really nice campus with good people and workers. I'd recommend University of Maryland or George Mason over in Virginia, ahead of Towson. Now forget everything I tow you and go form your own opinion.

Upper class Students received a late night email on a Saturday that they had to move out then next day due to a problem. The students in apartments with kitchens and private bathrooms were being moved into deplorable conditions of a building that was closed last year for mold. The community co-ed bathroom has rat traps set everywhere and the shower stalls have rust on the soap dishes. The rooms smell terrible of mold and are very tiny.

We saw El Otro Oz: A Bilingual Musical at the Mildred Dunnock Theatre. It was thoroughly enjoyable and the actors were truly amazing and professional. The students that went were part of our newcomer program which means they have been in the country just over a year. While many speak Spanish and laughed at much of the dialogue, the students from other countries enjoyed this musical variation of the Wizard of Oz. I know I did! It was spring break for Goucher students, so the campus was quite deserted. The production company that put on the show travels to various locations in Maryland. It took us almost an hour to arrive, but well worth the drive (we had charter buses, so comfort was key). I hope we get to see another show next year.

My program was based on 6 hours of class work each Saturday, and it was group based learning with teams of 4-5 experienced professionals. What I Liked: - A few of the professors were exceptional, in the sense that they completely changed the way I think through certain business decisions - The facilities were great, with as many resources as a graduate student could need (from wi-fi to 24-hour study/work stations) - Relevant variety of coursework, applicable to my personal work environment and role(s) - Emphasis on experiential learning, traveled to South America (Chile and Argentina), as well as Gettysburg and NYC (got to interview traders on the NYSE floor) - Professional peers complimented my learning experience, working alongside experts in different industries (institutional investment, energy management, information technology, etc.) - All-inclusive price, costing $XYZ and nothing more, as priced from day 1 (remember, this was a 2.5 year program), making it easy to save and pay for - Alumni network is very active and supportive, already being invited to events and establishing some new professional connections - Dean Leggio has shaken my hand many times, as she is very present and available Things I Didn't Like: - Diversity was lacking from a gender perspective, but other MBA groupings had better balance; I'll assume it was an anomaly to be in an unbalanced classroom with only 2 women - A handful of professors weren't comfortable or ready for graduate students (we tend to question concepts more critically, rather than blindly accept a professors ideas without healthy resistance), but they were still somewhat effective in the sense that they were introducing concepts I was ignorant to prior Ultimately, since graduating I have had 3 interviews for positions I would have never been considered for without an MBA. All three of the interviewing organizations have a large Loyola degree population, or were opportunities introduced to me by someone within the Loyola network. Additionally, all of these jobs represented a possible 30-50% increase in pay compared to what I make now. I'm still in the process of 2nd interviews, so we will see how it goes. Despite the various opinions about the quality and effectiveness of this program, education is like a sword. It's abilities are limited to whomever is holding it. For me, I can already see real evidence that I can carve some new opportunities for myself while enhancing my performance and earnings. I don't know of any other more appropriate way to measure the impact of an MBA degree from a leading university. It was a great school and Loyola did a strong job.

The Evergreen campus itself is small but also quite beautiful in the varying seasons. The admissions building is a beautiful Victorian style home surrounded by a big quad and varying buildings. The grounds seem to be well maintained. The athletic center with the pool (the FAC) is also kept up well. The biggest complaint I have as a commuter and a visitor is the parking. There is basically no on-campus parking. The visitor lot is expensive and small -- often times it is reserved for different athletic and academic events on campus. You can try nearby side streets but there are times when nobody is allowed to park there, which tend to coincide with the end of undergrad classes and the beginning of grad classes. There are shuttles to locations like the FAC and the cathedral of Mary, Our Queen, but the shuttle is slow and unreliable. The graduate campuses at Timonium and Columbia have huge parking lots with enough room for everyone. If you want to visit, invest in an Uber or be willing to circle around for a while to park. Or you can pay for the Jenkins visitor lot. Your choice!

I can honestly say I brag more about my High School then I do my college loyalties. The teachers are personable and of high caliber, the facilities are some of the best and for the cost of a private education in the mid Atlantic, you are getting an extreme value. I grew up in Harford County and didn't grow up around the most diverse community and what I experienced in my 4 years there has carried me through to success both personally and professionally that I want my children to experience in the near future. Not just as a graduate of the school but as a leader of people and someone who has a passion for improving and enriching people's lives.
