My rating is mixed. I love the products at Toy Terminal, It's the atmosphere and shopping experience that staff have poorly curated that make you feel uncomfortable. It completely dampened my experience. After having spent some time at a couple of stores in the neighbourhood, I saw this store and had to go in. I love plushies, so it was natural for me to enter this store. I walked in. There were two staff members: an older Caucasian male and an older Chinese female. They both stared at me like hawks as I looked at the cute plushies. I settled for a strawberry plushie that sat perfectly in the palm of my hand. It brought me great joy. The man approached me and asked if I needed any help. I said that I was good -- that I had found what I wanted. I thanked him for offering to help and I continued to browse. He left me alone. One hawk down. One more to go. The woman did not leave me alone. She continued to circle me as if I were prey. Practically every aisle that I was in, she was there. At one point, we looked directly at each other in an aisle. We had this exchange: Her: Did you need any help? Me: Nope, I have what I want. Did you want to pass by? Her: (she moves past me) Me: Thanks. She was blocking my path browsing. If you are going to make me and every customer uncomfortable browsing in your store, I have no problem dishing it back at you politely. Walk away. I will not make you make me feel like a criminal for being a customer who likes to browse and is about to buy a plushie from your store. She stopped circling me after this exchange. I shouldn't have to politely tell you to stop being a jerk. You should know better as an adult. There are a couple of signs that say to not take photos. I didn't care. I took some. I didn't get a talking to about that, which I think was wise for them to not do that to a paying customer or one that was about to make a purchase. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and the transaction went through successfully. I placed my plushie in my paper bag. I thanked the man and left the store. I love my plushie. It's adorable and perfect. Sadly, it doesn't match my distain for staff that made my experience a rather unpleasant one. I'd rather go to a store and feel welcomed than setting foot here again. (475)

Owner is extremely rude. Didn't see the phones sign and when I told him to calm down, he told me to go "suck my d*ck". Don't buy from them.

The staff members were running around the store checking floor inventory for missing items that they are unable to keep up with. The staff limited customers that were coming into the store. The staff followed me an my party around store noticeably, which upset my girlfriend and when staff asked what was the issue, I let the guy know we were being watched, and we left. I would recommend no one to ever visit this store until they get better staff.

Me and partner went here, we went to look around and as we were looking we herd in the back of us, from one of the staff that there is to many people and some of us should go.!!! What!!!! They have allot of products so it might take awhile to look around so that kinda annoyed us cuz we feel like we are being rushed and the staff kept looking at everyone and not only a second or two for awhile so that made us feel uncomfortable. However, I went up to one of the staff and asked them if they have a certain item and they told me to scan a code and check for myself to see if they have it, in that case I might as well just order online. So not only they're making people feel rushed and uncomfortable, they're also making us do their job. I am giving this store a bad review, however they do have allot of good products in the store, they just need to work on there customer service and willingness to help there customers and make them feel welcome, not making them feel uncomfortable, rushed or checking items on there own. This isn't how to run a business. Do better or higher someone to do a better job than the staff that is there.

It felt like it went on forever and had anything and everything a tabletop gamer / hobbyist / geek could ever dream of! There was even a space you could pay to play games / paint minis!

One of the cheapest spots in the city to pick up a board game. The pros are they have a massive collection, a giant library filled with rows and rows of games and collectibles. If I'm in the area, I used to stop by to peruse because I'm that kind of geek. I honestly haven't made them exercise their customer service skills because I research my board games and know exactly what I want. But I can see that newbies could be overwhelmed with all the options coming in. We decided to buy a board game for a friend's child, age 6. My boyfriend ran off to find a game at Meeple without consulting me first. He came out empty-handed, saying there was nothing suitable for that age range. I'm SURPRISED. There's a board game for everything there. I'm not an expert for games for six-year-olds, so I just Googled, found a dad blog and decided Catan Junior was it and purchased online here. They processed our order immediately and were ready for pick up the same day if needed. The truth is my BF was about to check out at Indigo, which is 30% more before I reminded him to check at Meeple again for prices. The only difference *I think* is the packaging art is slightly different and the box is larger at Meeple. If their staff actively asks every customer walking in and tries to help, they can convert more casual or newbie gamers--what a lost opportunity.

This is a hidden gem in downtown Toronto and kudos to all the adventurers who stumble upon this bookstore on their own without the help of the internetz or a GPS. It's located inside the 401 Richmond building, which has mini art galleries inside, a cafe and a tiny music museum. The interior inside is very pretty so while you make a trip to Swipe, embrace the sounds of the squeaking floors and the feel of the building. This bookstore has a lot of books (not just design books), toys, stationary items and cute unique boutique-like items within the store. It's an awesome place to get some cool gifts for friends or family or for yourself.
