The name doesn't really tell you they're a comics/collectibles store, and you sort of think it might be a video or music store. I'm glad we investigated and saw their actual genre, which was something we are super interested in - COMICS! The attendant we spoke with was very nice and helpful when we were trying to find certain issues (for our Wolverine collection). They had comics from many different era; new books. classic issues, graphic novels, and even a kids section. We definitely spent a long while thumbing through all the comic boxes and looking at the display walls. Stop here for sure, if you're a comic collector and happen to live near or be driving through Lincoln!

The shop is super well laid out and not cluttered and hard to shop, like a few other comic/collectible places we have been. As soon as we walked in, the attendants behind the register were so excited to welcome and help us find anything we needed. They came out to answer questions, and helped my husband find key issues he wanted (so we left with a lot of loot LOL) Aside from all the great comics, they also have collectibles, like plushies, Funkos, figurines etc. as well as a little spot for kids to play while their parents shop. They are called Legend Comics and COFFEE, and I was more interested in the coffee than the comics so I stopped in to the cafe while my husband perused everything. I got the Golden Caramel Latte, and it was extra delicious - not too sweet but still a little hint of the caramel to give you that sweet taste. My husband wanted to get a drink that was chocolatey, but without coffee. I asked the barista at the coffee shop if they had anything like that, and he actually made me something special on the spot. It was a frozen chocolate milk, and my husband went wild for it. I don't think it's on the menu, and was made impromptu, but you may be able to ask for that, if you want to try! There is a lot of seating at the cafe and also around the comic shop, including little benches, if you want to sit and pore over your potential purchases or if you're waiting for someone to finish shopping. Even though we spent way too much money here, I definitely recommend it if you're a comic collector/lover, as they have so many things to explore (both in comics and coffee) and you may find something new you love!

There was a tournament going on in one of the back rooms, so it was a bit busy, but the folks working still helped us find certain things we asked about and were happy to do it. They have a ton of current comics, as well as lots of vintage comics, which was what we were on the hunt for (and found!) Aside from the main shop and the back room for games/tournaments, there's also a little side room that has toys, collectibles, and comic book sets (like all issues of a certain run, bundled together). Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you're on the hunt for a certain comic, figure, or game. It just felt like the people here enjoyed what they do and like helping collectors find what they're looking for, sincerely wanting you to have a good experience at their shop and come back (which we will!)

This one was just as great, in its own way - with so many comics to flip through, Funko Pops to peruse, and games and dice for the tabletop gamer to stock up. They had lots of cute decor, just like the Ralston location - like a giant Spider Man statue over the cooler, lots of decals of comic logos along the wall behind the counter, and my favorite thing - a little knitted monster box holding their D20 dice for sale. The attendant behind the counter when we checked out had a half-hour conversation with my husband about CGC grading and his experiences with them, which was very nice that he took the time to answer my husband''s questions. Great service, lots of variety, and cool ambiance - it ticked all of the boxes for us, so we will definitely be back!

Since another person and I, in a FB group, each ordered a copy of the Gospel Of John, illustrated…read moreby Rick Griffin, from Robert Beerbohm, the owner of BLBcomics, through the group because he offered these for sale on the group and Ebay. We didn't have Ebay, so we sent personal checks(at least I did) on April 1st. We didn't hear back from Robert and the other person contacted me through FB and I said to give him more time. Well, a month and 1/2 later, it finally shows up. It's just a 'Watchtower' type pamphlet. Not an illustrated book, like I was expecting. The Gospel of John tract by Chuck Smith, and illustrated by Rick Griffin that I wanted is an actual book. This had maybe 6 pages and was published by some church. I got charged $36.99 + $3.50 shipping for this. The hardcopy in NM condition of the actual tract cost me $18 plus shipping from Amazon. Plus, there are other copies of the same thing selling for 1/2 the price we got charged. When I complained to Robert, he said return it for a full refund. However, he won't refund my money even though I have a copy of the check he cashed, a receipt from the USPS receipt with PID showing delivery date, May 18th, 2015 of the return. To top it off, I know he received it in great condition because he's relisted it on Ebay later that night as New. Ebay listing # 231549168896. Now, he's saying weird stuff on FB to the other guy who still doesn't know when or if it showed up, saying blah, blah, blah and more excuses. I'll never do business with him again because he took advantage of both of us because we didn't go through Ebay and Paypal, so we have no recourse as buyers with the Paypal guarantee and can't leave negative feedback. Note: After doing some sleuthing, I came up with his actual address in Fremont, NE and his Paypal account info. I filed a complaint with the BBB in Omaha, NE that covers his area, Yelp! reviewed him in Fremont, NE and put a Paypal request for payment in after opening an account. Plus, I told this story on my seller's site on FB. A couple of months later, I received my refund in the form of a USPS money order(I guess he's afraid I'd steal his banking info, which I already had anyways as it was on the back of my check that he cashed.), no apology, nothing about being sorry for the whole thing, just some gobbledy gook about the Griffin family, etc. Then, at the very end, he says 'I should be ashamed of myself'. For what? Making him cough up the money he owed me? What a total douche...
