Then I contracted for a project recently (August 2024) and I have learned that all franchise owners do not manage their teams in the same manner i became accustomed. The most recent project was completed by Matt Wingate's team and besides missing a few spots unpainted, the team poured paint down the toilets, sinks and did not properly protect the floors, spilling paint on the floors and leaving if for me to arrange for clean up. i could not believe the pouring of paint products in the sinks and toilets of my home by a licensed firm. What a mess see a few of the pictures. Paint poured into the waste water lines and trash as well as paint splashed on wallpaper. I did not have a great experience with Southern Sky Painting. Bob makes it sound like they do…read more"meticulous" work, but they don't. Also added on extra charges at the end ($900), even after clarifying everything before the work was performed. Overall, work was decent, but I can't recommend based on character and price gouging at the end. They painted the entire interior and exterior of the house. I have painted professionally, and I worked along-side the crew part of the time and was able to point out many other things along the way, that probably wouldn't have been done if I wasn't there. Here is a list of issues we had: Exterior: Did not properly scrape loose paint and fill cracks (partially fixed) Missed painting a board on soffit Painted gate wrong color (did fix) Had to go back and re-roll because of lines (did fix) Overspray in a few areas Sand painted into the front door Paint drips around the house Interior: Overspray onto floors and cabinets Paint drips on floor throughout Missed entire sections of wall Did not paint ceiling in 2 closets (was on contract) Did not perform work that he verbally agreed to but didn't want to write into the contract Paint on door handles and outlets Biggest issue was add-on prices and failure to stick with their word. Then, when the job was "done" would not respond to phone calls. Except for billing, when he tried twist contract wording to justify huge add on costs. I can't work with or recommend people like that.

He did a shitty job, Suzanne fixed as much as she could and worked with us but this guy left wires in the wall that apparently was the main gfi, that eventually had to be cut out. Then he left a cut out hole in the cabinet above the microwave because he had originally installed them to far to one side and had to be removed and reinstalled and then we still have the cord to the microwave rolled up in the cabinet so you can really only use one side of it. Everyone there was a great help in explaining why one tile may be better than another. Did you know they have great quality shower doors 5/8th thick! BTW: they stored my tiles for over a month until my GC was ready for them, and told me not to worry if I needed them to be stored longer. Delivery was great & easy. The tiles came divided in the truck and my workers were assisted by Anthony King my delivery professional whowas incredible & very helpful. I highly recommend them as they were extremely accommodating. I went to 3 other tiles stores before finding them, I found them through the manufacturer of Porcemall tiles who was also helpful.
