I feel I need to pass my experience with TR Holsters to those seeking an honest review and 'can you trust this company'. I bought a holster from TR on Ebay. It was for an RIA Double Stack, which are not in big supply. I noticed right after I had paid, the wrong holster was bought. I believe this error was my mistake but immediately shot off an email to TR explaining the error on my part. Within a short time, TR responded to my email. YES. I said that correctly. An online company actually responded to an email. A 'Tony' at TR conversed with me on email and after identifying the correct holster he stated " I got it, no problem" The holster arrived a few days later. I found the holster a bit snug for gun retention. Got on Ytube and within 5 min and a hair dryer smoothed out the retention. Was worried at first but simple adjustment after I educated myself about kydex material. 'you don't return a new car because the driver seat is not adjusted for your profile.' SUMMARY: For me TR Holsters is a place I can trust. Primarily for the customer service. I hold customer service as a 'way point' in judging a company's product. A work colleague had an awful experience with this company and I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. I should have listened to the reviews. I had ordered an IWB holster on august 6. It only shipped on September 3 . This is after texting back and forth with them and being assured that the product would be shipped multiple times and then eventually being told that it had shipped on August 29 which it was not. When asking for tracking information I was told it would be sent to my email which it was not and then ghosted when I reached out again asking for the tracking info. I had specifically asked for the order to be cancelled and to issue me a refund to which I got no reply. After a month of waiting for a sub par kydex holster it finally arrived after multiple requests for the order to be cancelled before the product had shipped. I reached out yet again only to be told that no refunds can be issued according to policy. The policy also states that orders shall be shipped within 10-14 working days which mine was not. They are liars and should be ashamed of the way they conduct "business". I wish I could complain about the service more but the fact is there isn't any service to complain more about. Before the owner replies to this review as they have to previous warranted one star reviews trying to blame the customer for their terrible service. Ok so I was dumb admittedly and gave this company another chance. I ordered a Glock 21 OWB holster on eBay. They sent me a Ruger LC9 pocket holster. I contacted them and they refunded my money on PayPal and set up a return. They then asked me to order the correct holster again. I went to do so and they blocked me as a buyer. I messaged them and they said I was blocked for leaving them a one-star review on Yelp. Well notice all he has is one star reviews not all from me. So Tony Moffre got more vindictive and opened a Yelp review page on my FFL business and wrote a negative review on my business when my business has nothing to do with this personal purchase. I purchased my holster for a Glock 21 w/TRL on March 14th. March 22nd, it arrived. I had mistakenly purchased the wrong holster, as I wanted an IWB I had misread the description and purchased an OWB. Easy fix, as the seller, TR Holsters, has free return shipping. I first decided to see if they sold clips to make it IWB but they're $25 and I think that's extremely steep, plus I did not think it would be comfortable without a sweat guard. I proceeded to set the item up for return on the 24th, with the item unused and still in the package. I managed to get to the post office on April 1st and it arrived back to the seller April 5th. I received a message from EBay stating that the seller received my item and that I was refunded $23.10, when the purchase price was $46.20. The statement TR Holsters made for only returning half of my payment was similar to that I, the buyer, "Completely destroyed the holster rendering it unsellable." It was absolutely absurd and a blatant lie. I filed a claim with eBay and they stated I was going to be refunded my full amount. I received my $23.10 back and then only $18.48. I then contacted the company requesting the full amount be returned and not just the partial and they stated that I should contact EBay. I had originally planned on purchasing an IWB holster from them after I returned the OWB but now I think I will completely steer clear. It's obvious this company and whoever runs it has no issues stealing from customers. 0/5 and will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from this company since they believe lying and thievery is acceptable. Good luck dealing with these guys when you need customer service. Regardless of what you need or how you initially start the conversation, they will be EXTREMELY rude and aggressive towards you. Throughout the message if you call them out, they will say your started it... Their holsters are OK, but for the price they offer it for on eBay and with eBay's 15% off every now and then, it makes a great beater holster. They should probably rename their company to Beater Holsters... They have pretty good quality and clear images of what they advertise and the model of holster they produce. However, they will produce a different design and blame it on you for not contacting them first to confirm what they show is what they will make... I purchased two holsters. They are state of the art for 2006 -but the industry has advanced a long time since then. It's not that they are bad holsters, just that TR Holsters wants high end prices for what are not high end holsters in the current state of the industry. The real problem however is that the owner is someone you just don't want to ever do business with again. I ordered a couple of holsters because, at the time, the gun and light combo was not available many other places. I waited longer than quoted and when I asked about the status in a polite email, I received a very confrontational response and then an email stating that they were going to just cancel my order for daring to ask about the status of my PREPAID 7 WEEKS PRIOR order. In fact, the holsters then just arrived weeks later. I was disappointed enough in the design and quality that I have never even used the one I didn't sell off immediately at a loss. I spend A LOT of money on holsters. Now I go to G-Code, Tier 1 Concealed,, QVO, or Safariland for holsters. All of the smaller companies listed have owners worth supporting. Safariland... well, it's just Safariland. I'd pretty much carry my gun in a burlap sack as opposed to putting money in Tony's pocket again. Horrible customer service, I emailed a few weeks after ordering a holster to get a rough ETA, the timeframe was too long for what I needed (2 months) so I asked about paying to expedite my order the employee/possible owner threw the terms of agreement at me and said I had to wait. Since I needed a holster sooner I requested to cancel my order and had to still pay 25% cost even though they informed my that they hadn't started on my order yet. Though I was definitely frustrated after the way this person was handling my inquiry in the first couple emails, my words started to become less than peachy, nonetheless I cannot believe the way this person spoke to a customer and how they handled the situation. I ordered a new holster for my Sig p365 x macro with red dot and light. The specs said for a tlr7 sub light which is a bigger light than the olight mini 2. So i figured it should fit, if not i will just swap it as you do with any reputable company. But to my surprise this is not a reputable company. As they do not do any returns and exchanges. I was told it's in the terms and conditions which is on a separate tab. Nobody goes into a separate tab from the cart to check terms. You have to have a very shady company to operate like that. And the owner told me there was no refunds, and he refused to work with me in replacing the holster I received for the one I needed, even though I was going to pay whatever the difference in cost and shipping would be. I ordered an OWB Sig 365 holster and it would not retain the gun when upside down, Mr Moffre informed me that they don't believe in the "mythical upside down test" because "you'll never be inverted with gun and holster in hand." Ordered an OWB holster for a SIG P229 Railed with a Streamlight TLR-1 Holster via their eBay store. TR Holsters advertised that the item would not fit the SIG P229 Combat, which was of no concern to me, as my particular model was the SIG P229 (R)ailed Nitron (night sights model), and there is no dimension difference/variations between a simple P229R and a P229R Nitron. When I received the holster, its appearance was presentable, however it provided inadequate retention. The holster would bind, and would not accommodate the firearm properly, failing to provide proper coverage of the trigger well. Improper dimensions of the holster also resulted in it binding and scuffing along the actual light itself (Streamlight TLR-1). Normally, I would simply chalk this up to a bad mold batch, as it happens from time to time with Kydex holster manufacturers, and I offer the benefit of the doubt. So, I sent the item in for a return/refund, only to find TR Holsters issued me a partial refund, and claimed their holster was not designed for the P229R Nitron. There is no difference in dimensions between a standard P229R and P229R Nitron. TR Holsters also then accused me in the partial refund statement of using the wrong light, despite my use of the Streamlight TLR-1, which is what this holster was supposedly designed to accommodate, per the advertisement. Taking into account the apparent dishonesty by the company in how they issued refund and then attempted to blame me for their product, I would not recommend them, nor will I purchase from them in the future. I often jump at the opportunity to support small business, hence this purchase. But I will not condone a business practice that sees the owner attempting to cover for a faulty product, rather than making the matter right and issuing the full refund. Thankfully, eBay provides purchase protection, and when I contested TR Holster's partial refund, eBay made it right by ensuring I was refunded in full, including shipping costs. Given their prices put them in range of other, better established companies that make adjustable retention holsters? I'd just look elsewhere, folks. I reached out to TR Holsters to inquire if they make one that fits this fun, and Tony Moffre responded to my email, asking for clarification on the model gun. After providing the specifics, he promptly told me that the generic 1911 5" holster would work. The holster came in in about a week during all this epidemic stuff that usually slows things down, however they got me my order FAST! The pistol fit the holster perfectly, it's a very nice quality holster with excellent retention. On retention...... we read that 1 customer had turned theirs upside down & the pistol fell out...... not this model, it's very tight! Now I didn't order anything custom, no Bersa 380 with an M203 attached holster needed here, just a stock pistol, so no tweeking magic was needed on my order. My experience is much the same of the other reviewers... Purchased on ebay. The pictures were completely wrong and were not of what I received. They said "its hard to keep up on pictures". The item was wrong but I could still use it so I offered to keep it for a discount (even just $10 off)... which was still more expensive than elsewhere. The one I ordered was larger and would have used more materials and effort and heck return shipping is about $10 so I thought that, reasonably speaking (a foreign concept to them) this was an amicable resolution. Oh how silly of me to make such a suggestion. They asked me to send examples of ones that were identical to what I received. I sent 2 that were quite similar and $25 less. I provided pictures of what I ordered vs what I received. They refused to offer a discount as their product is "superior" (though it still would have cost more). Basically this guy has a Texas-sized EGO. I think you see what we're working with here.... I said OK a little would have gone a long way and I was trying to find a way to resolve this and we both win and get good feedback. It was clear they wouldn't let that happen. Just because I mentioned feedback, he accuses me of "feedback extortion". Apparently mentioning to someone that they are not going to get good feedback based on their actions is "extortion".... but wait... who still has the money in this deal? So I send the item back literally hours after receiving it and in the same packaging (contained in an additional bubble mailer) and same EXACT condition. I get a refund of ~$30 of my ~$70 and they say that it was returned missing parts and/or damaged... COMPLETE AND UTTER BS.... I ask you, who's extorting who? The person that ends up with their product back in the same condition (already re-listed for same price) and keeping over half of my money, or the person that expressed that the other's actions didn't warrant good feedback? I told eBay they were MORE than welcome to review our transcripts and see who is in the wrong here. Fortunately, eBay customer service saw through their BS and gave a FULL refund. TR just has their bad reviews removed from eBay anyway. I can only conclude that TR stands for TOTAL RIPOFF!!! My daughter ordered a holster for me with a little help from her husband. They found TR Holsters on eBay after a disastrous circumstance involving our [6] 5 month old Rottweiler pups using my Kydex rig for a chew toy . I love my pups but I love my HTC rig more. I had some major concerns about TR's production times in lieu of my scheduled trip down range and the time I would have to prep for my new holster. The holster came with a 2 mag holster. In less time than I expected. Opening the package gave me great satisfaction and anticipation as if it were Christmas morning . I am beyond impressed by the craftsmanship and the material quality . Sadly, The holster doesn't fit. Its easy to blame others ,, especially when I should have confirmed the weapon model with TR Holsters customer service rather than my daughter and my Meathead son-in- law . Ordered a duty style holster that said to be a 10 week MINIMUM ended up being less than 7 weeks delivered from when I ordered. Everything came as ordered, quality is there and the retention is great, holds my polymer80 even with it being held upside down. As long as you READ about what you're ordering there shouldn't be a problem. The blade tech wrs is alright but it definitely holds well and the fact that TR Holsters are one of the few to have a rmr hood for you optic is the main reason I went with them. Full disclosure, I worked for this guy for a week before quitting. Holsters are not actually that bad for the price but there are definitely better ones out there. The owner on the other hand is a complete idiot. There is a reason he can't find good help and has a high turn over rate. From reading all of the reviews of how rude he is with customers I can tell you its worse for the employees. He acts like he makes the best holsters and everyone else is complete garbage and has no problem talking down to you. If you don't own a completely decked out Glock then you probably wont find a holster. I actually feel bad for his wife because she was always very nice. Double mag carrier had uneven retention from left to right. Left was so tight that it was difficult to draw. While the one on the right was so loose it was flopping around. I sent the seller a message explaining the issue. He suggested I put a backward facing magazine in the one that was too tight. Tighten it down and leave over night. Which I did. The next day the issue was still there. Sent the seller another message letting him know that the remedy suggested didn't work. His response was "it sounds like you're unhappy. So just send it back." No apologies, no offer to send out a replacement. Just blowing me off. I sent the mag carrier back to him. He responded that I had it way over tightened. And that's why it wasn't working. The seller blamed me and kept 20% of my refund. Rather than making it right. Instead of sending me one with even retention, blocked me on eBay. BEWARE of this seller. Apparently he's not able to just do the right thing or produce quality work. I guess letting him know that his mag carrier was poorly executed hurt his feelings. Poor fella read more

I have bought at least 2 holsters a year from TR, and while I wish they'd line the holsters with a softer material I haven't had any problems. They offer holsters to fit weapons nobody else does. So, I ordered an RTI duty holster for an STI 2011 with a TLR2 light. When it finally arrived (I didn't read the fine print, 6 weeks on RTI holsters) the holster didn't fit the weapon properly. I couldn't close the hood, it would hit the hammer. If I forced the hood closed it actually held the hammer back against the grip safety. Additionally, the force required to release the hood was excessive. When I contacted TR their response was "it fit when it left here". I realized that I was stuck with a $120 holster that didn't fit, so I decided that I had nothing to lose if I tried to modify it to fit. The hood latch design is poor, nothing more than two pieces of plastic making a sear engagement, so I had to move the engaging surfaces back and change the angle. After a good three hours of work I got the angle and engagement right, and the holster is at least usable. read more

"Customer is a baby, USPS dropped the ball, customer was rude, our products are not defective etc." It blows my mind that someone would think to buy from this guy in spite of the bad reviews he has. PLEASE do your research. I am stuck with a piece of junk. There are far better holsters out there for the same price and made by people who actually care about their product(s) and their customers.
