Great customer service with timely and professional responses. I was searching for a reputable carrier for car insurance. My special circumstance........I needed to start working in the rideshare industry. I checked with the insurance companies that rhyme with shmeico and gallstate, and neither company offered rideshare endorsement in California. I requested a quote and heard from Kai within 24 hours. We started our conversation through email and text which was great because I was running around doing errands when she first reached out. Kai was able to gather my information and provide me with a reasonable policy rate. I had a new policy with State Farm within a week and could start working with Lyft confident that I had the coverage I needed. Kai is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I've had State Farm Insurance for years but this is the first time that I've came across an outdoor office. So here's the deets... it's on a very busy Palm St in Imperial Beach so if you've been you know how bad traffic can be with that being said it's Loud and we can't forget the homeless walking by screaming & yelling. While you're standing outside talking about your personal business along with having your personal documents out while watching your back you can't hear very well with a complete plastic barrier between you and the insurance rep., literally the plastic is from the top to the bottom of the wooden desk( I've seen doors with more gap than this)! Then to top it off the Only Rep in the office couldn't get to my policy Twice(even with the documents in front of her) but hey the 3rd time was a charm when I provided the name and number to the main office that opened my account( I know the office was closed due to a convention they were attending) so I'm thinking she finally called a number to help the Reps. AnyHoot, It All Comes Down To This......Save Your Time and Gas and call the numbers provided on your cards or call your local office but this office visit was pointless and a waste of time for me because the Phone Rep handled EVERYTHING over the phone as I sat in my parked vehicle!! The only thing the office rep did was print my temporary insurance card After the Phone Rep sent it over to her for printing, then she slid it to me and walked away. If I could star rate the Phone Rep who helped me, I'd give him 5 stars but my rating is for the office and if I could I'd give a --1 star!! read more

Where do I start... " I MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE!" of canceling my automobile insurance policy with Tracy Rivera's Office after my premium increased which I would say substantially and not because of any tickets or accidents, but because California had changed the way they allowed insurance companies to rate us customers... Got to love our wonderful state :) I called up the office roughly about four months ago and explained to Nelly, which was normally the wonderful person I spoke with at Tracys office that I didn't want to jump boat on them because I had always received Top notch service from them, but I had no choice but to find car insurance at a much lower rate with another competitor. She was very understanding and knew that sometimes you got to do what you Gotta do. I told her numerous times I really didn't want to take my business elsewhere because since day one Tracy and her staff ALWAYS! Took care of my needs and we're always very accommodating and friendly... I have to give super mega kudos for that... I am a firm believer....and I'm going eat my words and say that I didn't practice what I'm preaching here, that when you find someone whether it be a company, a sales rep or In general someone in helping out the general public. That you stick to that person or company because sometimes if you try to save a dollar here and there, which in my case I tried to do. The outcome might not be to your liking, after being spoiled by awesome service somewhere else. In this day and age I find it difficult to find people with a smile on their face willing to help you in the customer service type businesses. Tracy Rivera's office is a no pressure, laidback, very easy-going office. They have always been there when I needed any kind of adjustments to my policy and or had questions or concerns. Now here is why am writing this review, shaking my head for being an idiot, and maybe a slapping myself in the face.....so I did jump boat and went to their competitor "farmers insurance" I received a quote over the phone at my local office, she seemed like a friendly person over the phone, received a great quote, drove to her office and signed the paperwork. But unfortunately that changed once I had to call her and do some adjustments to my policy, or had questions. The problem was that she was a Agency which ran with just her as the agent. No employees No receptionist No nothing! Since my car insurance policy was new and I was trying to fine-tune, and on numerous occasions I had to call her and she never answered the phone, I would receive a automatic text reply stating that she was out of the office and if I had any questions or concerns to call the general farmers 800 number. Also a couple of times drove up to her office since she wasn't too far away from my house, but both times during normal operating hours, no one was there to help and her business door closed. Now that didn't go so well for me and I believe..... and this is strictly my opinion, that if you have a agency that sells car insurance to the general public and you will not be in your office, you should at least have someone answering the phone or a receptionist in your office so you don't look bad if someone drives up to your office and your Business door is closed during normal business hours, and you're sticker on your window shows you are open when clearly you are not. I should've known better when I drove to her office to sign paperwork that she didn't own a regular business phone, didn't have any employees and was doing business out of her cell phone!! I guess I Was spoiled by the great service I had always received at Tracys Rivera's office, there was always someone that answered the phone, and always someone there to help me with my questions. And if I drove there her office was always open. If for whatever reason Nelly, or Tracy weren't there, the person answering the phone usually was able to accommodate me regardless. Sorry for the long post but I had to express my view and opinion so you can think twice maybe before making a change and this doesn't happen to you. So kiddies what was the lesson I learned today! :) Even though the grass might be greener somewhere else.. and your insurance might be cheaper at another agency, in the end you just might regret it like I did. Stick with the people that make you feel welcome...will always be there for you, and make you feel like you're one of the family....so yes I did get my car insurance back again at Tracy Rivera's office and I had the pleasure of getting the VIP service straight from The boss lady herself. So if you live in the South San Diego or in the general San Diego area and need of a great STATE FARM INSURANE AGENT!..Tracy Rivera Office is where you should be going. This office and company has insured my personal home and multiple rental buildings I manage throughout San Diego for the past 20 years. Furthermore, many of our tenants past and present pay for renter's insurance through them. I AND THE TENANTS agree -- this agency is excellent -- We PRAISE them for their attention to detail, friendliness, and the hassle-free claim reimbursements we have received under their policies on covered events. That's been my 20 years of experience with them. You can trust them 100% -- They have NEVER taken funds automatically from me or any of the tenants without full authorization. I LIKE THAT Tracy Rivera's office staff continuously searches for ways TO SAVE ME MONEY! Additionally they patiently run the numbers with different deductibles and coverage levels so I can get the most value for the buck. I recently had an independent roofer check to see if roof damage from the last series of storms was a covered event. This excellent roofer diagnosed the problem, and said "you're lucky to have Tracy Rivera's agents helping you, they actually care and work their butts off. You don't see that with a lot of agents." I've had two other agencies before them, and that was MY experience too. If you just walk into their offices, you'll notice right away they are there to HELP you. I really had a great experience with the people at this State Farm agency. They were always helpful, kind and polite when I needed something. They made insuring my motorcycle easy which was very important to me in my busy life. Tracy was always great in making sure my policy was in order and helping me with whatever I needed.
