My review of this store is extremely low. The treatment I have received has been abrasive,…read moreinsulting & condescending. The past two years we have been using the dog washing station for our two small 11 lb fur babies. In the last three months we have received news to us regarding rules for dog washing procedures such as dog leashes required, no using shopping cart in washing station which had never been addressed in the prior 21 months. We found out by the manager coming back to tell us that the carts would get rusted. My only purpose in using the carts was because I had mobility issues that could cause one to likely to fall without assistance. However I did not use again. Also several times no towels were available because the dryer needed repair which took months to repair. In addition one of the washing bins for small dogs has been out of order for the past 4 months. Today after grooming our fur babies we were walking past the fish & birds section to leave, an employee spoke & I replied we were fine how was she? She then responded abrasively that we would not be allowed to wash our dogs here until they had been treated for fleas. I told her that our fur babies were 9 yrs old & had NEVER had fleas & she was mistaken. She continued to argue refusing to listen to me & then from another aisle a male employee shouted they did have fleas. Of course they did not mind receiving money for the $40 tickets we purchased. I said we had one more on the last ticket & would like a refund because we would not be returning. She told me we would not receive a refund. Our fur babies are family & they sleep with us every night. I am happy to report that my husband, myself & our fur babies have NEVER had fleas and certainly do not appreciate being treated in such a disrespectful manner.

She is now 6 months old and is a social butterfly and loves kids, people, and other dogs. She is the sweetest, smartest and most funniest dog. She makes me smile and laugh every time I see her and she has just been a constant joy since we got her. We have Deborah and Gary to thank. They are wonderful people and what I love is how sweet and responsive Deborah is every time I contact her whether it is via email, text or call even months after I've gotten my pup. She genuinely cares about all her dogs and I enjoy my conversations with her. She has a vast history with dogs and you'll find yourself so immersed in conversation with her when you find out some of the incredibly cool things she's done. Her husband, Gary is really nice and even met me at the airport since my layover was short when I flew in to pick her up. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Showboat Kennels and I couldn't be happier with my little loyal and sweet Shiba.

I saw Jerrie's Pet Place advertised in Fort Valley and called to see if she had any Shih Tzu puppies. She didn't but said to me she had a female who couldn't breed and had to be spayed because of an infection. Jerri didn't want to keep her so she said we could come and see her. We spent some time there trying to learn more about the dog. I asked her if she had her registration papers and the information on her surgery, and she assured us she had it all. She didn't give us the paperwork when we left she explained that she had to find it. We asked her name and she replied "Baby". We took her home and began to see what this poor little girl had been through. She was scared and submissive and would cower down when we tried to pick her up. She wouldn't drink water or eat and shook all of the time. We took her to the Vet and had her checked out. They agreed that Baby had been abused. I began to send Jerri emails about the paperwork, and what she drank out of all kinds of questions. One lie was told after another. She said she couldn't find the paperwork and the woman she got the dog from never gave it to her. This went on for about a week. I called the USDA and they explained they had to inspect her place a few times because she had over-the-limit dogs. I was also told that any dog in her possession that is a breeding dog must have paperwork and be registered. She didn't even know how old Baby was. After 3 months we noticed that Baby was having seizures. The vet said she had epilepsy and had to have been having seizures while under Jerrie's care. She was in a cage all of the time and no one noticed. About a year ago I read an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the Human Society and the USDA were informed of the large number of dogs in Puppy Mills being housed and sold in numerous Breeding places. Jerris Pet Place was one of those places. She was running a puppy mill and no one knew it. She wouldn't let anyone see where she kept her puppies and their parents. I hope they continue to check on these places and stop them from selling dogs. Baby has been with us since November 15, 2020. She has a collapsed trachea and CHF and is on many medications but she is finally living the life. She has been all over the state camping with us and traveling and has never been put back into a cage. She is our loving little Shih Tzu and even though she has been through so much she is happy.
