My review of this store is extremely low. The treatment I have received has been abrasive, insulting & condescending. The past two years we have been using the dog washing station for our two small 11 lb fur babies. In the last three months we have received news to us regarding rules for dog washing procedures such as dog leashes required, no using shopping cart in washing station which had never been addressed in the prior 21 months. We found out by the manager coming back to tell us that the carts would get rusted. My only purpose in using the carts was because I had mobility issues that could cause one to likely to fall without assistance. However I did not use again. Also several times no towels were available because the dryer needed repair which took months to repair. In addition one of the washing bins for small dogs has been out of order for the past 4 months. Today after grooming our fur babies we were walking past the fish & birds section to leave, an employee spoke & I replied we were fine how was she? She then responded abrasively that we would not be allowed to wash our dogs here until they had been treated for fleas. I told her that our fur babies were 9 yrs old & had NEVER had fleas & she was mistaken. She continued to argue refusing to listen to me & then from another aisle a male employee shouted they did have fleas. Of course they did not mind receiving money for the $40 tickets we purchased. I said we had one more on the last ticket & would like a refund because we would not be returning. She told me we would not receive a refund. Our fur babies are family & they sleep with us every night. I am happy to report that my husband, myself & our fur babies have NEVER had fleas and certainly do not appreciate being treated in such a disrespectful manner. read more

I used Yelp to find this location to wash my little dog. I have a membership but since I didnt bring my membership card (im traveling through town) they could not honor my membership even though they see me on their computer. Then I showed them the 20% off deal on YELP but since you cannot book online to wash your pet at this location, they did not honor the coupon code that said was useable at this location. Needless to say, $14 later my pup is clean (using my own supplies) and we were in and out in approximately 15 minutes. The store is clean and the pet area had just been disinfected, so thats a plus. I gave a 4 star because of the membership situation and the lack of coupon useage. Other than that it was a pleasant experience. read more

I always come here to give the dogs a bath because I hate cleaning up after them at home, lol. It's a very clean place and everything is labeled pretty well. They have brands that you'd find elsewhere and are usually cheaper than the chain pet store in the new mall. The best part of this place is they have a bathing station for pets. You can purchase a card that gives 5 washes for $25... which is worth it imo. Sometimes the customer service can be spotty, but it doesn't really make me feel like I'm unwanted. I'm writing this review roughly 22 minutes after the store's opening time. I have been a regular here for over a year and would come because of the guinea pig food selection. I parked my car in the parking spot directly in front of the store (NO other cars were there) and proceeded to walk to the Kroger next door (literally a few feet away) to grab an apple before returning to the store to get my guinea pig food. While I was walking, the store owner, Mark felt the need to stop me and let me know that the parking spots are for customers only. He didn't ASK if I was coming to the store and I'm certain that given the proximity to Kroger I'm not the first or last person who has done this. The parking lot was totally empty, there were still SEVERAL other spaces available directly in front of the store and rather than asking he chose to assume and lose a customer. It really rubbed me the wrong way and in the grand scheme of things it was totally unnecessary. The selection of food is okay, but if this is how I'm going to be treated I'd rather order elsewhere online and pay for shipping. I will say though, Kelly at the cash register was kind. read more

I come here often but to buy my German Shepherd dog food but this week ends that. They didn't have the dog food in the shelves that I was looking for, so I had asked if they had some in the back, and one employee checked with the other employee which seems like the manager. It seemed to me that one of the employees they asked seemed irritated, completely hate their job, or whatever. They then threw that attitude TO ME which all I asked was a simple question if they had a specific dog food in stock. The customer service is normally great here, but the new people they're getting are the absolute worst. I would add in addition the couple of times I have visited here, people here didn't want to work at all , that this I previously witnessed a young man working from Kroger helping this other guy like they work here. Very happy with this store. They are always friendly and offer to help. They price-match anything you show them from other stores - even on-line prices. They have good supplies of many different brands and products. They also work with shelters to help animals get adopted. They only have room for three parking places in front of their building, but will carry your purchases to your car, wherever you have to park. By the way, if I am going to Kroger and the Pet Supplies Plus, I am courteous enough to move my car as that parking lot is usually pretty full and I sympathize with people who have heavy loads of pet supplies (kitty litter for 5 cats, for example). read more

I just had the best experience at this pet store. I have a 90lb lab that needed a bath, and he hates water! So I paid just 10$ to bathe him here. Jennifer helped me get him in the stall and secure him. Then I used the anti stink shampoo that worked a miracle. Tons of hair and dog smell just washed off him. Then I dried him with the dryer, yup he hated that too. Who cares, he's clean now and smelling good. I also got him a new bed and two new toys, all for the price of a professional bath. I will NEVER give this store my money again. I have parrots, fish, and a dog. Needless to say I spend a lot of money at this store. I have been disrespected for the last time. I was in the store today waiting with the fish as usual. There was a Caucasian young man with short ponytail and shaved sides. He walked right past me after I had been patiently waiting. He went up to the white man who had just walked over to the fish section and said "Can I help you, Sir?" TWICE. While continuing to ignore me and walked away. When he walked out of the back I stared at him just to get him to acknowledge me after walking pass me for the 3rd time, he mumbled "Need some fish?" and kept walking. Not "How can I help you, Ma'am." You know the same respect that he gave the other gentleman just walking through the fish section. By the time I could answer him, he walked away. I yelled out at him and he said "What's up?" I told him never mind and was going to speak with a manager but I decided to just leave. I just finished cycling a 75 gallon aquarium. I was going to buy all of their Bolivian rams, electric blue acaras, snails, Cory cats, a couple of algae eaters, and South African cichlids available. I was also going to buy some live bearers (mollies, platies, guppies) for my two 29 gallon aquariums. I was going to upgrade to a fuval filter and add more gravel and a new light. I needed more zupreem for my parrots and Diamond food for my dog. They lost hundreds of dollars today alone because of the disrespect. They have lost countless future dollars. I don't know what this guys issues was. Clearly it was an issue with me. Not sure, but he cost this store a lot of money. This is why you don't judge a book by it's cover and mistreat people.
