I worked with this firm for many years, originally under Tracy Larabee, and the experience was solid during that time. After the practice changed hands with David Ewan, my experience became less positive.
When I asked straightforward questions about HSAs (contributions, investment earnings, and basis tracking), I had difficulty getting clear, direct answers. Questions were treated as outside scope or unnecessary rather than addressed transparently. I was also told that clarifying how prior returns were prepared would require significant billable time, even though I was not requesting new work -- just confirmation of what had already been filed.
Ultimately- this firm may be a good fit for clients with simpler situations, but those with multi-state or non-conforming tax issues may want to ask detailed questions up front about scope, documentation, and follow-through. read more
