For an outlet store, its actually very well displayed, the stock is regularly moved through and changed so there's often different stock whenever you go in. If you're a big Nood fan, I would recommend a visit out to Henderson as it's a great way to stock up on your favourite items at a discount. The service has been excellent everytime i've been instore and the staff are very efficient via email in answering my enquiries. The Henderson branch is very well stocked and really tidy (I can't stand trying to sort through a mess, but luckily the Henderson branch is very well maintained). Spotlight always have really good sales, so unless i'm desperate to buy something quickly, I would tend to wait until the sales come up.

On November 5, we had a confirmation email that the shipment had left Auckland and on November 7 that they were at a town 20 minutes away. We waited....and waited....no calls from the company or the couriers, no emails.... Suffice to say that after I initiated probably 12 phone conversations and 20 emails back and forth, it is now November 28 and we still don't have the beds. Finally we have managed to locate them (by driving to the delivery depot in a DIFFERENT town than we were told) and WE will be paying a private courier to finally get them to our house, MAYBE by next week. Urban Sales says they'll only refund the rural excess, but I'm not holding my breath. For those who may think we live way off somewhere crazy, we don't... barely 10 minutes off SH 25 and since it's new construction we've been having trucks up and down the road with large deliveries for months. Urban Sales - if your whole business is based on packaging up IKEA products and delivering them to NZ, but you can't actually deliver, what is the point?!?

Additionally - or perhaps even primarily, if your values are anything like mine - they have a good selection of books. Salvation Army bookshelves are never expensive but they're often a mixed bag, sometimes leaning a bit heavily towards the Danielle Steel / Marian Keyes end of the spectrum. A place like this is good though because of its scale - there's enough of a range that if you're willing to trawl you'll probably find something.

One of our favourite stores is Uno in Grey Lynn. Sandwiched between the two Jetset Bohemia stores, Uno is home to stylish furniture and artistic jugs and jars. A peek in the window will draw any passerby to stop and enjoy the individual flavour of their stock. From rattan light fittings to moulded glass jugs, anything and everything to beautify a home. I can't always afford the items I like best, but there is nothing stopping me from enjoying their beauty.

More than one family member of my extended family has used the service of Hospice and we appreciate the amazing work this organization does. So as far as Blockhouse Bay Hospice Shop goes, this is a lovely one. Very room inside where the racks aren't too cluttered. I liked the bargain boxes outside and had a good rifle through them on this hot afternoon. Prices are right, cheap, and there is loads of stuff here, clothes, nick nacks, household effects, shoes, pet gear, you name it and the best thing is that there is always a different bargain to find because that's just the ever changing nature of op shops. Thanks to the hard working, really friendly volunteers who man these shops too!

Located on the main drag in Blockhouse Bay township it's easy to get to. Parking is out front if you're lucky or nearby. Did I mention the ladies in there are dolls who seem to enjoy volunteering there and are very happy to converse about the weather and life in general. The only downside is that they are not great quality and don't tend to last. But they are good to look at and for about $40 I got her a bag that was very pleasing on the eye. Similar bags would cost well over a hundred bucks at Farmers though they would probably last longer. They also do good deals on wallets for both men and women. To go with her bag, I got a nice wallet with room for all your cards that only cost $20. I'd like to think there will come a day when I have written a bestseller and can buy my wife a Guess Bag costing hundreds of dollars. In the meantime, I'll make do with Strandbags.

When I was on staff I would always be going to product education seminars, where the staff would learn all about the product. But I particularly like this store, as it has such an expansive range of bags, wallets and travel accessories on offer. Their massive range is because their store is quite massive, which means they get a great turn around of new products on a regular basis. The layout of the store also makes it easy to look for the exact bag you are after, with the handbags and travel cases organised in order of used materials, design, and price range. I have purchased many bags from here over the years, because I know that they are durable and not too expensive, and of course because they have a stylish selection of products.
