I bought an $80 GameCube game and had to return it due to disc rot as I DID not see it during inspection. I went to exchange the game as I DO NOT wish to return it. I found a game I wanted to exchange and was told that no. I made the purchase less than 12 hours ago. I have spent hundreds if not thousands and NEVER returned an item. The people in management there know what's up, they know I'm right in my other reviews and when I have brought certain things up in person. Super lowball offers, half working items at full retail or even more, management who sleeps like babies after robbing an old or desperate person blind. Just dont bother. You wont find anything and you wont get any money. Raleigh, Wilson, New Bern, Eden. No Im not just listing towns in NC, Thats all the places trade it has attempted to do business in and didnt last very long or was run out of town. They proudly say they are the best 2nd hand shop in Goldsboro. If you live here you know that doesn't mean much. Again just don't even bother its not even worth turn your steering wheel to turn in if youre passing by. IF you do decide to sell to this sorry excuse of a business DO NOT let them pull the double team "second opinion" tactic. If you don't agree with what the buyer says they go ok lets get a 2nd opinion they then go in the back for a good few minutes then another employee comes out and they act like they are gonna give you a fair shake...they dont. They were back there whispering for several minutes to get stories straight and telling the other guy who comes out what to say. The place is immoral and shady built into the core. UPDATE 12/01/2022: They still refuse to apologize for saying myself, my wife and the items I brought in smelled like a dirty litter box. I took my high end headphones to a resell shop in Cary. I mentioned the story to them and they said the items nor you smell like a dirty litter box. So another trade it lie what a shock. In fact the business I took the headphones to was thrilled to see high end headphones and asked to buy the rest of my vintage headphones. Another business wouldn't offer to buy more if we stunk. I'll be reporting to bbb at minimum. They pulled this "tactic" in the buy area that was full of people. My wife was in tears in the car. Apparently the trade it in goldsboro has gone under new management... the mangager, young kid in his 20's, claims to be the son of the owner of trade it... long story short, he has decided that he will operate out of the norm of trade it policy. brought a couple game systems, games, and controllers to sell... sold them all but one system due to leaving the power cord at home. nonetheless, was given a card to enhance my next sell (they regularly give those out). well came back a week or so later when I had the time. when I got to the counter this new manager kid comes to the counter and tells me he is the new boss that he didnt buy the first stuff and he wouldnt honor the buying of the second because it was missing everything else, even though he could look right on the computer and see that I did sell them everything else just the week prior. To cap it off tried to say my enhancement card wasnt any good either, then immediately walked off from the counter, leaving me there standing like a i was a peasant...so I asked him as he was walking off "I get ur the new boss here but it is still the same business and I've done A LOT of buying and selling business here over the years, You cant honor the deal that was made" he response was literally "No". I dont have to, my parents own the company while approaching me in a completely unprofessional and aggressive manor that made feel like i may need to.defend my self... epitomy of complete shit business. The goldsboro store has been nothing but on the decline. Store always looks and smells a hot mess... items just thrown anywhere and everywhere on shelves with no organization... most of the items looks nasty and dirty and can tell where never even simply wipped off before going to floor to get gunked up dust off of them... and a lot of stuff priced the same or even more than what the same items would be brand new in walmarts, harbor frights, etc... I go inside on more than a few occasions & every time one of the cashiers tells me if I have any old video games, consoles, controllers & whatever I should bring them in to sell to the store because & I quote "We're hurting for stock" ok one day I needed some gas to make it through the week I bring Tomb Raider Definitive Edition on Xbox One first he tells me Tomb Raider isn't popular & this isn't really a Definitive Edition $2...What!? Are you kidding me the Xbox One section is complete garbage so I know they're not overflowing with Xbox One games maybe 8-10 copies. Will never go back in that place, how can you get stock when they try to take advantage of people & think we don't know any better? Pathetic. read more

The closing manager is a liar. When my fiance called from Lewiston, NC my fiance told her it would most likely be a little after 8 when we get there, Trade it Manager told her not to worry about it, she would get us in the store to do business, she lied. when we got there it was 8 exactly and they actually closed 4 minutes earlier at 7:56. then she lied about lying. If I could I would give this location 0 stars but I have to give a start so I'll say this, I used to shop at this location all the time and than it was great, but as of lately the service has been sad and disgraceful. My wife got a TV from them less than a year ago and at first it worked great, but than it started cutting off on it's own so we took it back, and they said it was repaired, but not even 6 months later it started doing the same thing, so once again we took it back, here it is almost a month later and we still haven't gotten her TV back and every time we call it's an excuses to why it's not back, I got a laptop from them and the door on it didn't open son I took it back and here we go again with the excuses. For a company that logo say we check everything before they buy it from you and stand by it, there seems to be a lot of stuff coming back all the time. Don't waste your money or your time. read more
