Make sure you try the prepared foods -- the chicken scarpariello meatballs are our favorite item so far. Soups were excellent -- chicken matzo ball, sausage gumbo and carrots ginger all pleased. Pulled pork was savory but could have used some sauce. At Easter they were sampling delicious ham and scalloped potatoes. Fresh meats appeared to be of high quality, I can vouch for the hamburger patties. The fish counter is small and is not attended by a fishmonger. I've only had free samples of the baked goods so far, but they look great. Produce is solid, but as expensive as you would expect from a gourmet market in Darien. Service from the counter folks and check out was uniformly excellent.

They also carry basic household items and fresh flowers. Since Rowayton Market is close to my workplace, I decided to swing by for lunch. When I walked in, it was bustling. I ordered the East Beach sandwich, which had grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The ingredients felt incredibly fresh, and the bread complemented them perfectly. I overheard many customers asking for that sandwich, and now I see why. On my next visit, I went for a salad with just as fresh ingredients. The market has a coffee area in the back where you can buy coffee, and there is also a seating area with a waterfront view. The customer service is friendly, and I'll definitely be coming back again.

When i try to use the restroom, it was located all the way back of the store. The door was shut so i tried to open it and realized it's locked, that means someone is in there so of course i wait...... Then a woman from the restroom opened the door (she's one employee) and yell at me said "you know i just got in here??" She was very rude and i explained to her there's no sign knowing someone is using it, it's normal that i try to open it because i DIDN'T Know anyone is inside!! She slam back the door ... .... Then when she's done she came out still telling me she just got here and alot of cleaning people make it stings whatever, and i so tell her she should put a sign and I'm not the one making it dirty. She was just so rude and i donno why i get yelleit when i just trying to use the store restroom. She was one cashier i found out. She stared at me later and i just check out on other line and didn't wanna deal with her attitude. I have been shopping here for years and this is most unpleasant experience to be treated in this store. (The guys here are nicer those who's stocking, they are helpful) in general those cashiers are not nice. Why would you yell at customers randomly???
