It's... kinda fun, I guess…read more This isn't a flea market in the way that *I* define a flea market... it's really more so like, an indoor Goodwill where vendors can purchase space, if that makes sense. That is to say, there's not a TON of good stuff here. I did get some amazing candles from Green Sea Candle (the woman who makes them traveled from miles away) and will definitely return here sooner or later just for those! They smell incredible, and my purchase came with a free homemade car freshener that also smells just like pumpkin pie dangling from my windshield. I also got two purple goblets from some random vendor, and they were kinda cool for the vision I have for my future dining room. Would I frequent this every weekend -- no. It's not that big of an event. But I'm happy I went and checked it out.

The 1st visit was a week day and I didn't have but 30 minutes to scavenge for a couple new home necessities. I ended up leaving with a rustic, full size, hand made American Flag and a 1971 Pillsbury dough boy toy for a family member who grew up loving the dough boy. The flag was marked at $25 but the owner gave both to me for $20 - he works with you consistently on giving great deals. The 2nd visit was a Saturday for their "flea market" style layout. Every weekend from 9 - 5 they bring one of the aisles of things out under a tent so you're able to view even more things both inside and out - you may have heard this event called the "Old Dairy Flea Market." I came for a dresser and left with a dresser, bedside table, vintage black military bin, plant table, 1970's hand crafted pottery lamp, and queen bed frame set all for $120. All in great shape and blend perfectly together in my new room. I am so thankful to have stumbled upon this place as it's definitely the best bang for your buck here in town when it comes to high quality vintage goods on a budget. The areas that were opened was either Hispanic western wear, a few tables with religious items, statues, and candles, and other random finds. They say one man's junk is another man's treasure. I'm sure if everything was opened this would be a great place. And since the majority of the flea market was closed, it was a waste of our trip. I would not recommend.

Sure enough, the shop is straight out of American Pickers, full of rust and patina--everything lovingly used. I had been desperately searching for a dark wooden cabinet with glass doors for the six months I've lived in Fayetteville, browsing craigslist every day and flea marketing on the weekends. I found one within 10 seconds of walking in the door of Back-N-The Day. For $40! I was ecstatic. The owner, who was friendly from the moment we walked through the door, gave me a good deal on a porcelain pitcher that I bought along with it by taking $5 off both items, and he helped us carry the cabinet to our car, even measuring to make sure it would fit for us. The shop houses stacks of furniture, old Pepsi and Coke machines and paraphernalia, gasoline collectibles, vintage art and frames, old tools and cookware, and bits of everything imaginable. It's quite a maze, and really invites those in search of a discovery.
