My wife and I stumbled across this gym in February 2023 after moving to the Edmond area. We had no…read moreprior experience with working out regularly in a gym nor had we ever heard of CrossFit (which is the type of workout they use ). We quickly fell in love with both the physical challenges, service opportunities and the community and friendships we've made and have been regulars since. I'll break down the rest of the review into numbered sections for those who want more details. 1. Christian - first and foremost, the gym exists as a ministry to share the good news of Jesus Christ. This location is a branch of a gym based in Louisiana. In accordance with this, every workout begins with a 10-15 minute devotional and prayer. You do NOT have to be Christian to attend, anyone is welcome no matter whether you have no faith, another faith, or are against faith. 2. How it works - they offer FREE classes 6 days of the week(closed on Sundays). The gym runs on donations but there is absolutely NO obligation to. For those that do decide to donate regularly, there are 24/7 keys available to come workout anytime but the vast MAJORITY of people come to attend the classes. They also have a moving company(Strongmen Movers) & Christ Fit Thrift Store to support the gym. -9 AM: Monday thru Saturday -5:30 PM: Monday thru Thursday -5 AM: Tuesday & Thursday(most recent offering that began in 2024, there are plans to expand to 4 days at some point) 3. The workouts - they are CrossFit based and the classes last 60-75 minutes and it is a non-intimidating environment. People of all ages, fitness levels, injury history etc. attend and the instructors are very accommodating to tailor the workout to whatever is comfortable for you. They will demonstrate all the movements prior to the start of the workout and also roam around during the workout to provide feedback/adjustments as needed during the workout. There are 3 scaling options that are written for each workout for your current level of fitness. I can attest that many of the CrossFit exercises take months to master and are quite rewarding once they are. If you're interested in finding out more, follow them on social media(Facebook and Instagram) to stay up to date on ongoing events and information in real time!

They teach them before the workout to everyone and then if I have more questions they help me one-on-one to make sure my questions are answered and my form is safe. This gym is donation based only. You have nothing to lose. You can literally get an intense workout for free. Classes are every weekday at 9a and 5.30p. I know they also have an occasional 5a class, but I can't remember which days. Ha! Check it out. If you need a friend to go with I'll be there at 9!

I've been working out with a personal trainer a few times a week for a month or so. I was looking…read morefor a situation where I could be in the gym solo, just me and a trainer, partially due to COVID concerns and partially because of my own insecurities around working out. I was so lucky to find this place so close to my house. They have a handy app I can use to book my sessions or change my times. Isaac is really great about encouraging me to push just a little bit harder than I would on my own, and I'm learning a lot about form and how to do different kinds of exercises. He is exactly the right speed for me in terms of his manner - I don't do well with drill sergeant types. I do best with someone like him who is positive, encouraging and warm. We talk a lot while we're working out and I always love chatting with him. He also always remembers to play my favorite music which is a very important part of any workout for me. They have a good amount of equipment. I like to warm up on the rowing machine since I don't have that option at home. Then we do a mix of weights, abs, cardio, push ups, etc. It's different every time - I don't think I've ever had the same program twice. It keeps it fun and interesting to not really know what each session will hold. If you've been thinking about training and this is convenient for you, I encourage you to take a look.

I had originally…read moreplanned to work out there for just a couple of months, as we were in a temporary home near their gym while our new home in OKC was being finished. However, once that time was up and we moved, I decided to continue the drive from OKC to Edmond, as I felt my time spent in the gym there was worth my time and money. I really like the vibe in the gym, which is personal and welcoming. While Issac is my primary trainer, everyone else that works there calls you by name and is super friendly. Issac is impressively knowledgeable about fitness and body movement. He's been a tremendous help with creating accommodations for my physical limitations due to a prior knee replacement and new diagnosis of bulging discs. I've gotten much stronger and more flexible in the time I've worked with him. Check them out if you a looking for someone to motivate you and help you meet your fitness goals!

I go to LT by Quail, but came with my bestfriend to check this location out to see if I can…read moretolerate a gym like Crunch in the future if I decide to switch. I liked this location a lot more than the Quail even though this location is smaller in square footage. The layout is just a lot better due to the upstairs or upper level where there's all of the cardio equipment I didn't like majority of their upper body machines since, the handles are all slanted. I have shoulder issues so "neutral" grip positions for my wrist work better for me either vertical or straight across, but not angled. I was lucky and went during a day and time that wasn't too crowded. I probably shouldn't give out this precious information, but I don't come here regularly so, I'll do my good deed for today here on Yelp. I went on a Wednesday at 11AM, and I didn't have to wait for any of the cable machines or attachments, and I didn't have to wait for any of the upper body pull machines that day either. Upstairs seemed comfortable with a lot of cardio equipment still available. Not sure if I'd ever switch to Crunch especially with most people saying they have issues reserving a class, and the fact it's busy from morning to night. I wished they had capped the membership so, people could be comfortable, but I guess money is money, and being a corporate company, it's no wonder.... However, I'll say this location was clean, and comfortable when I went, but the equipment is not as good as Life Time's, and there isn't a pool, hot tub, or steam room. There's an infrared room, sauna, and I believe hydromassage and cryo, but I doubt it's easy to reserve with over 4000 members. I give this gym an avg rating of 3-stars. It's nothing fancy, the front desk people were courteous to me, and the bathrooms were clean which was a plus! However, the equipment area is so so, and 4000 members seems a bit too much.

I can't really just pick up and go to Oklahoma whenever I want and I'm not submitting leave to go cancel a membership and come back. There is no other reason for me to be there. Tried emailing there's no response. Tried calling they're still telling me the same thing, you must come and cancel at your home gym. So yeah... not very chill guy
