Our son who just turned 16 last year took the Traffic Depot Behind-The-Wheels Training Course for 3 months. His instructor Brianne was excellent and the staff at Traffic Depot were always responsive, helpful and quick to work with our schedules (summer vacation, winter break, finals etc.) I recommend this school to anyone who is learning to drive, especially teen drivers and those who need a steady hand and knowledgeable hints at developing good driving skills. I had to do traffic school and chose this facility. I have gone to traffic school before but this instructor (Melissa) was outstanding and engaged everyone into the class. She was knowledgeable and even used her own experiences to connect with her students. Loved her! The only problems I had was how crowded we were all in there, and the bathroom situation. Terrible and unprofessional. The 3 different driver "teachers" my teen had the behind the wheel class with were all unprofessional. One had my teen run around town for her errands. One talked about her sexuality and her druggy friends and the other had my teen drive up into the mountains which was uncomfortable to be in the middle of no where with a stranger. These adult teacher should be better looked into before hiring. Maybe even have trackers and videos cameras in the car to watch their professionalism or lack there of. I highly do NOT recommend. What a hassle dealing with this company. And worse if all, my son ended up failing his behind the wheel test because he didn't look over his shoulders on a merger left lane and on a right bike lane. My son said the instructors never mentioned this in the 6 hours he trained with them. What a scam! I wish I could file a lawsuit. read more

I am the parent of a new student at this driving school. So unfortunately, first impression weighs heavy for my judgement of business practices and customer satisfaction. I can totally understand why this school is not getting high praise. My scheduled appointment was for a morning slot, when the night before the appointment somebody in the school called and left a message that they needed to reschedule. I called back and had to leave a message that I can accept the change. However, no one called in the morning to confirm receipt of my message. So I called two more times until I finally was able to confirm with the office that my appointment was accepted. When the instructor got to my house, she had us waiting for an additional five to seven minutes while she finished up a call. Once off the phone She explained she had to take the call because she was filing a claim with the insurance company due to an incident in a vehicle yesterday. She wanted to answer any questions I had and I was shocked to hear her advise she couldn't sign off on my son's permit until he has taken three sessions of two hours each. I was told at the DMV only one hour of instruction given by a certified instructor was appropriate. I found the line one the DMV certificate that says a professional certificate is needed before a person under age 18 can legally test and pass the behind the wheel portion of the driving test. The other thing I liked about the experience was the offer for me to ride along during the instructional hours. I must say this company does offer the cheapest rates, but it is a hassle to pay and schedule from online to in person, the whole process was confusing and cumbersome. The person who answered the call in the office sound very busy and frustrated on my call. I hope business gets better soon for this company. I decided to give my kid the space to experience the two hour prepaid lesson solo. He enjoyed it and I got a couple of Mommy pics for my digital photo album. read more

He shows them what to do, how to be safe, and he does it in a very very calm manner, and doesn't scare them. This helps with the 1st time jitters! I am giving the company 1 star for their terrible customer service. When you pay for a service, that service should be provided. During this pandemic, they still offered the pick up service from a customer's home. When that service is not provided, they should be pro-active in offering the refund. Yes, I can afford the loss of $20, but it is the principle behind it. If you can't offer the service, give a refund. The first time I scheduled, I was told they cannot offer the service and gave me a difficult time in refunding the additional $20 for the service. The office manager then said they will pick up my son, and this is during the pandemic. They made an exception then, but now are not able to. NOW they are offering refunds of the remaining lessons after requesting for a refund. Like I said, they should've been PRO-ACTIVE in giving the refund to those who paid for the service. Poor business practice. Do your research of other driving instruction companies before settling for this company. On a lighter note, my son's instructor, Doug was great. Buyer BEWARE!! Read every fine print. My son went past the year that we had signed up, so they charge you another $30 for each driving class you need to continue. In our case, $60 for two more behind the wheel! Unfortunately, we were already committed, so we had to pay! Then, my son woke up with a terrible migraine. If you do not cancel before 48 hours, you get charged another $40! I guess you had better know you are going to be sick! I have had to cancel places because of illnesses, not a problem! The instructor was rude and impatient with my daughter. She is a timid kid and this was her first time driving. At one point, he raised his voice at her and said, "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME? YES? NO? SAY SOMETHING!!" If you are going to use this company, I recommend that you ride along with them--I wish I would have. read more

I went for one 2-hour training and it was terrible. The car was out of alignment, so it would drift heavily to the right, and this was my first time actually driving, so I feel like that could've been dangerous. The instructor wouldn't tell me how to fix the simple mistakes I was making, she would constantly yell at me "What are you doing?". She would contradict her instructions, and when I did was she originally told me to she got very upset and gave me a lecture on how she's the licensed driver and I'm not and how the English language works, because I didn't understand what she wanted me to do. Then, at the end of the driving she back tracked on everything she said and told me "You're actually a good driver you probably just need a little bit more practice." It overall was a terrible anxiety ridden experience, and I wasted $220. read more

My driving instructor was terrible, his name was David. As someone who's never driven before, he rushed me into driving. He was a terrible instructor and didn't help me through the process. He was rude, unsympathetic, and careless; to me as his student and a future driver. I wasn't ready, I told him multiple times, and he kept saying "just drive". Which is not a safe tactic especially for young, untrained, and scared drivers. Through out the lesson, when I would make a mistake he would raise his voice and yell at me. His yelling made me awfully confused and it would most likely lead to future accidents. I would not recommend this place to get trained, and would definitely not recommend David. read more

I finished my behind the wheel training 2 days ago and decided to take my dmv drive test the day after and I passed with only 2 errors. I love all 3 of my instructors David, Edwin, and Chelsea. All 3 were very knowledagble, corteous and made me feel very confident while training. The only thing that made me anxious is when they go on their phones for about 3-5 minutes. But, all in all staff were friendly and would definitely recommend Traffic Depot! read more

The online Driver's Ed training is horrible. The videos are slooow and boring and very poorly done. We had trouble getting the video to load and play properly and it kept repeating the first segment, even after the 1st segment test was taken and passed. We finally gave up and paid for another online training course from another company. When we contacted the company for a refund, they refused and wrote a horribly rude and sarcastic email in return. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! Unbelievably bad customer service. read more

we had an appointment at the Clovis DMV and just a day before the exam we had a situation where we needed to the help of a driving school and the only way we could get the help was through Traffic depot driving school at Clovis, who had a vehicle package with 45 minute driving review. John at Trafficdepot was very kind enough to arrange for us a vehicle with an experienced trainer promptly. The trainer did fine tune the driving skills and safety instructions. I set up my sister to get her driver license with Traffic Depot and it was one of the greatest and radish experiences ever. We thought it would be such a hassle to get through this program. Her instructor David was really knowledgeable and really took his time to explain the whole process as well as every step of the driving part as well. beyond frustrated!!! called for our first appointment, set it, called them because they did not show up, no answer so tried again and was told they were busy that they couldn't answer our call the other 2 times that we tried to reach them. informed them if they would have answered the first time that we could notify them that their driver hadn't shown up and it was already 15 min after scheduled time. called multiple times after, still no answer left message no contact. office closed at 5! i'm beyond pissed at the lack of professionalism and rudeness that we have already dealt with and feel that our time should be compensated!!!! not a great way to start our child's first behind the wheel! fyi - no one ever showed up! read more
