Second time renting from greenwood rentals to move my (new to me) dream car. 1st time was a low boy trailer to move heavy shop equipment. Both times equipment and service was top notch. If you want the cheapest rate in town go to the big rental places and risk your life and cargo with poorly maintained equipment. That is, if they aren't over booked and you actually get the equipment you reserved in advance.. more than once I've rented from the larger rental places only to be totally let down in terms of reservations and if the equipment was available had equipment failures leaving me stranded on the highway and potentially risking my life and property. Don't fuss with that. Rent from Greenwood and support a local business that cares about the product and the customer. Or go to the big rental places and wait in line forever even though you booked in advance and get substandard units for ten dollars less. Every time I've rented with Greenwood Rentals the equipment is newer, and in excellent shape. Rental for nice tie down kits to keep your stuff secure is very reasonable. I rented a trailer today and returned it on time. The trailer was fine but pickup of the trailer…read morewas poor. The trailer was hooked to my hitch by the attendant but he did NOT explain that the 'release' tab on the hitch had to be pulled very hard to release the hitch so that it could be lifted off the ball. When returning the trailer (after the Blackfoot location was closed) and attempting to remove the hitch, I had a lot of difficulty. Finally my father drove down and helped me and with him pulling the release as hard as he could, I was able to easily lift it off the ball. It would have been much, much better if the attendant had demonstrated this when I picked up the trailer. As well, when I called the U-Haul Roadside Customer Service, they were totally useless. They were not able to give any advice and would say only that they would send someone out to help if I agreed to an immediate payment of $300.00!! And they call this "Customer Service"! Needless to say, I was not at all impressed and refused the charge. They then told me that if I damaged the hitch in any way while unhooking it, I would be liable for damages, even though I paid for full damage insurance when I rented the trailer. U-Haul equipment may be fine but their service is absolutely terrible.

The online store sold us the wrong size hitch and provided us no other options. It didn't fit our car and the staff took it back. The line up for service was super long. The 4x7 trailer was hooked up by Joe and he did his best, but our old car wiring wouldn't work. So he wired, unwired and installed and uninstalled the trailer. They even took the new smaller hitch back used. Then we rented a van, which was quick and easy. The price was decent and the van worked well. 5 stars to the staff at this place, 4 stars to uhaul in general for being reliable but missing the mark on things sometimes.

Even when we dropped it off we were curious about other rentals and they were extremely positive and informative and showed us the actual rental that we were inquiring about. They were so personable and easy to work with. They had so many helpful tips and were receptive and welcoming of comments and open to improvements. This was an excellent team, they had great recommendations for locations to visit both on our camping trip and while in town.
