I noticed a lot of teenagers walking around, and the whole place feels lively in a way that teenagers would love. The outdoor areas, the open walkways, and the spots to sit or take pictures don't cost anything at all, which makes it easy to have fun there without needing a plan. I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and saw how welcoming and upbeat the whole marketplace feels. It surprised me how comfortable it was to just be there without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by the crowds. Even though it's a shopping and entertainment center, it gives teenagers a great place to hang out, take photos, listen to music, or just be creative while exploring the different areas. I only visited Desert Ridge Marketplace one time in my life before making this review, but it ended up being one of the most enjoyable and youthful places I've been to in a long time. I never doubted that the experience would turn out the way I hoped it would. I've lived for 24 years, but in the summer of 2024 I learned that I'm still physically and mentally 18 years old, and that my prefrontal cortex is more developed than the average 25‑year‑old's. Maybe that's why I connect so much with places that feel playful, social, and full of energy. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to this marketplace because it gives them a fun, open space to enjoy themselves, walk around, and feel creative. I gave the Center 4 stars because depending on the time and day, the free parking can be a commodity. I was headed to Glendale and a wee bit early for my meeting. This place is easily accessible from the freeway and has good access back. I hadn't visited this Center in years so it was a nice comeback and exploring type of trip. Free outdoor parking and WiFi at many of the larger stores and restaurants.

Cause it's cheaper on the same stores website but you guessed it in store won't match online prices. Also the crypto atm needs more security or a more secure area where someone can help the elderly who are being scammed out of there money daily. It has an expansive feel inside. It has some decent food options. It has an Apple Store, Coach, Lego, Lululemon, MiniSo, Vicky Secrets, Sephora's, along with a bunch of other retailers. It reminds me a lot of Chandler Fashion, which is a good comparison. Since selling our house and getting an apartment nearby, this has become one of our shopping destinations, if only to come for some good deli at Chompie's. LOL They have Dillards and Macy's as the two anchors, along with a Penny's (huh?) and sporting goods retailer Dick's. They also have a pretty large movie theatre in AMC and bowling at RoundOne. Besides Chompie's, on the food court side they have Chipotle, Fired Pies, Johnny Rockets, Sizzle K-BBQ, Little Tokyo, Boba, Panda Express, Panera's and a dozen or so more options. Sooooo? What's not to like? In Yelp-ease, "Woohoo, we're a Fan!"

They do have all major retain chains like Macy's, JCPenny, H&M, Dillards, etc. The cafeteria is small but has very few options and I would love to see some new chains or local restaurants coming up there.
