A lot at Kierland Commons was overflowing with drivers looking for parking spaces. The Kierland Commons offers upscale shopping and plenty of restaurants to feed your belly. One word, DAMN. This place is the Beverly Hills of Scottsdale. If i lived here I would definitely want to be near the Commons. I love how it's all spread out and the walkways are covered for those hot summer days. I live in OC and its basically laid out like Fashion island in Newport Beach. Every now and then, it's nice to stroll through the Kierland Commons. My wife and I occasionally make it to a meal or to shop or even play at Kierland (or yes, a stroll). I also sometimes meet up with friends or family or even head there on my own for errands. There's something for everyone and plenty to see and do; however, some of my favorite stores and restaurants have closed and been replaced over the years. The Kierland Commons is known for some great restaurants. While there are some upscale and casual restaurants there, my favorites include North Italia and Postino WineCafe for dinner and Frost a Gelato Shoppe for dessert. I really enjoy having both Fox and Upward Projects restaurants in Kierland. There are also many other restaurants across the street at the nearby Scottsdale Quarter. There are also plenty of shops from upscale shops to more casual ones like AVEDA and Wilson Sporting Goods. My favorite stores are Crate & Barrel and Sur La Table. There also used to be an olive oil and balsamic vinegar store I would enjoy visiting. Similar to the restaurants, there are many shops across the street at the Scottsdale Quarter. The Kierland Commons is a pretty neat place to shop if you are in Scottsdale and wanting some higher end shopping. I love an outdoor mall concept and this place doesn't disappoint. It's massive and well kept, being the perfect outdoor desert shopping experience. Like any mall parking was rough. It appears that parking is limited in general as I couldn't see any major parking garage but maybe there is? In the areas I drove around it was just narrow parking lots and spaces. I also acknowledge that it was a weekend after lunch during tourist season so it does make sense why it was so busy. My pro tip is just come early so you don't spend so much time fighting to find a spot. The shops here are great if you like higher end stores. While this wouldn't be my go to mall in the area I will admit the shops were great, if you are okay dropping some $$. I was already starting my Christmas shopping so it was a good place to start and I did grab some good gifts. I also like this shopping center as they have some pretty good restaurants such as Mastros and North Italia. This shopping mall was very clean and just beautiful. This is a great spot to stop on your trip or definitely see why the locals come here as it's their nicer shopping mall. read more

We love coming to Kierland Commons when in Scottsdale! We came out here over the holidays and had photos of our son taken with santa. Kierland Commons really decks the halls- it was so fun wandering around and checking out the lights and decor. The photos with santa are pricey, but the memories made were priceless! On a regular day, we love cruising around Kierland to shop. Since it's an outdoor mall, it's very stroller/baby friendly with wide pathways and areas for the kiddos to run around. They have a great selection of shops and restaurants, and just across the street is Scottsdale Quarter with even more options. I love the sidewalk that crosses over busy Scottsdale Road, making shopping between the two centers a breeze. read more

The parking availability here is a joke. Once all the snowbirds and the tourist hit in January, you cannot find a single parking space because two restaurants hog the parking lot with their "valet" parking. We just left and decided not to shop there today. Their loss. read more

We enjoy Kierland commons simply because of the variety of food options offered, from cheese cake factory to farm to table restaurants. Visiting during the hotter days is always a blast for anyone with littles as well. They have a beautiful clean splash pad area with various types of seating and quick bites to grab! read more

Being that Phoenix is hot 90% of the year, this outdoor shopping isn't my go to, but they do have outdoor misters to help keep you cool. Plenty of shops to walk into to cool off and atmosphere is family friendly. Parking is a little wonky but if you find the parking structure, you probably get a spot (and out of the sun). read more

Do NOT go to this location! I ordered some items in the store for Christmas on 12/7. They said it would take 1-4 days. It is now TEN days later and it hasn't even shipped!! I've called customer service three times with no resolution. I've tried calling the actual store but no answer- no way to even leave a message. Now I have to go out and get new Christmas presents because what I ordered is sold out. Terrible customer service!! read more

Beautiful shopping area with lots of stores to choose from though I almost never find myself going here because parking and getting to the one or two stores of interest you may want can be quite the nuisance. Kierland Commons is an outdoor urban mall in north Scottsdale that is located across from Scottsdale Quarter and near Scottsdale Airpark. Some of my favorite places to visit are Sur La Table, Oil and Olives, Greene House, The Mission, Shake Shack and the Cheesecake Factory. One of my favorite places to visit! Even in the summer when it's hot, it's fun to walk around and visit the shops. First of all, the design of the Kierland Commons is great. Everything flows and it's very walkable. The landscaping always looks great and feels modern. Day or night, it feels safe (like most places in Scottsdale). Lots of families, a great place to bring kids. The misters they have everywhere is perfect! Definitely helps cool the air. The trees and shade covers over the walkways makes summer visits more bearable but if you live in AZ, it's just part of daily life. Parking is easy and safe. I believe It was free as well in the garage. It also has Tesla charging stations which was a major plus for us! Be sure to stop by here if you're new! I love this location!!! I go here often to shop as it's easy to find parking outside of the establishment that you're wanting to go into. I feel like shopping here is much better than going into an actual mall however, malls are cooler right now so....‍‍ I'm digging all of the new builds around here but for me, it would be dangerous living here. ( Shop, eat, shop, and eat) Parking is free which is a plus!!! I recommend going here as my go-to stores are all here including a restaurant that I'm often at to meet up with pals from time to time. This shopping area is very Bougie and high end. If this is not your crowd, then you won't have a good time! Personally, we just like to walk around here and window shop. This center has mostly high end or luxury boutiques/stores, but you'll also find more realistic brands like Shake Shack, Victoria's Secret and Pink nestled in here. The are is usually kept really clean and can be nice to just stroll when the weather permits as this is an outdoor mall. Service can be hit or miss here, depending on the store and vibes. I recently visited Kierland Commons to shop and have dinner. It is an upscale open air shopping center with lots of designer shops and great places to eat After shopping at Allen Edmonds, Anthropology and Ann Taylor I moved on to dinner at North Italia. I had my choice between several restaurants like Mastro's Ocean Club, The Mission and much more. They are dealing with Covid by wearing masks and promoting social distancing. This includes monitoring the amount of people coming into each store. If the stores appear busy they ask that you return at a later time. read more

Tommy Bahama, this is the best store I have ever been to. It is huge, beautiful, clean and most of all, you have Cheryl. My beautiful Cheryl, she is awesome. She is friendly, so helpful and was there to give me exactly what I needed. Love her energy. I cannot wait to go back to this location to have lunch or dinner at the restaurant we have never been to a restaurant, but we have been to plenty of other stores. I WOULD RECOMMEND. read more

I remember fun nights meeting friends for concerts here having dinner before hand at one of the local restaurants then dessert afterwards. It was sad when they took that area away and replaced it with a fast food joint. I tried it 3x my max and wasn't satisfied. Sadly there are no yogurt or ice cream places here so I frequent their competition. I do have a couple of favs, Chloe's Corner, Olive Oil store and some others to just browse. read more

Let me just say Kierland Commons is my second favorite spot in the Valley to shop and window shop. I love the layout of the mall, parking is good, but only if you are willing to walk from the parking structure. I've yet to be able to get any parking directly near the shops (it's just so limited). The Christmas displays are gorgeous around Christmas here! There are plenty of food options, shopping is pretty good too depending what you are in the mood for. On a side note, I recently discovered there appears to be cockroaches around the mall. I imagine they're coming from the sewer system. I found this gem going north along N Scottsdale along the back of Pottery Barn and the other shops - yuck. Cockroaches aside, the mall is honestly well kept and I had to do a double take when I saw this scurrying across the sidewalk. I'm not sure if this is a new phenomena or what - I never usually walk along the outskirts of the mall area, but we took a wrong turn. read more

They really need to work on their parking areas as there are too many cars and not enough spaces to put them in! However, once you've managed to park, you will find a plethora of places to visit. Great up-market stores, superior restaurants filled with interesting people and an opportunity to people watch at all times of the day or night. Pop into Starbucks, grab a latte, head over to Tesla for a quick look at the latest model then head over to Troon golf for an opportunity to check out your swing. There is lots to do here. I really love this shopping center built to resemble quaint town streets. It's very interesting to see this shopping area, which is connected to the Scottsdale Quarter across the street, and realize how different the two are. Scottsdale Quarter is much more big city and more cramped feel. Kierland Commons is more laid back and welcoming and a much more enjoyable experience, probably the best in the Phoenix área. Nice mix of independent and chain stores. Always try to visit here when visiting Scottsdale. read more

We love Postinos and The Cheesecake Factory over here. Very upscale so make sure to dress decent! Haha but overall nice area read more

Kierland Commons, and now Scottsdale Quarter (across Scottsdale Road) is one of those fun outdoor Malls you see mostly in California (Walnut Creek, etc), and believe it or not Chicago (Old Orchard). The stores are a mixture of upscale and the eclectic. You have Z Galleries, Restoration Hardware and Crate & Barrel next to the Rock Star store. But the best thing about Kierland is the dining experience: Tommy Bahamas, Zinc Bistro, etc. Now, you can shop till you drop and eat & drink till you... er, drop, too. read more

This place is great to shop, eat, people watch, and walk around. The downside is that parking can at times be a pain! There are all sorts of options for shopping, from trendy boutique to designer names and more. The food options are vast as well (the only downside is that it can get quite pricey, however the food is always good, and given the area, the prices are to be expected). I recall when this area first opened, there was not much here, and it has definitely grown quite a bit. It is easy to spend a whole day here. read more

My second visit was in August to meet at one of the restaurants for a friend's birthday dinner and my feelings remained unchanged from the first visit. I like to think of this place as an upscale Desert Ridge Marketplace with better restaurants. I read some older reviews that commented on the poor parking but I did not experience that. I was here on a Saturday evening and parked in the large lots outside of the stores facing Greenway. Super easy, hassle free, and no valet or any section blocked off in sight. If you're trying to park in the spaces closer to the center of the complex then yeah, you'll run into a harder time trying to find a spot. It could be different during the winter as traffic increases; I wouldn't know as I never visited here during that time of year. As much as I want to fall head over heels in love with this place, I can't. I prefer Desert Ridge as it has more things to my liking. But if someone invited me to come out here, I wouldn't be opposed to it. read more
