Because it has a great location at the ocean and the menu looked good we chose this place. A good choice. Came here on all of our five nights in town. We stayed in an apartement not far away, so we didn't need a parking lot. An easy stroll there and back. There is an indoor section (one below deck, one on top) and lots of tables on the lawn. Since we had our Bulldog with (who was very welcome here) we took a table on the lawn. Always got a table, expect on saturday. But then they brought an extra table from downstairs just for us. How nice is that. The menu has something for everybody, as well as some daily special on the chalk board by the entrance. Some of the items we've had: - Seafood Spaghetti w/ Lobster - Seafood Risotto - Steamed Mussels - Seafood Antipasti Platter - Baby Octopus Stew - Mixed Fried Seafood - Spaghetti Vongole - Pizza Biancho (Speck, Potatoes, Mushrooms) - Slized Beef Steak w/ Salad - Pasta Vongole w/ creamy sauce - Frittura Italiana They know how to cook here. Quality-wise all items were of high quality, seafood and fish fresh. Cooked to perfection and tender. Pasta always al dente. Presentation nice, size very good. Sometimes couldn't even finish it. The Seafood Spaghetti is a fantastic meal. Ok, with a bit over 30 Euros on the pricier side, but oh so good. Nothing short of amazing also the baby octopus stew. Not easy to find and for just 10 Euros a steal. The Pasta with the creamy Vongole sauce was also very very tasty. Homemade noodles....but very very heavy and filling. If you go for that, don't order a starter. The Frittura Italiana is a well priced item and it's not on the official menu. It's a starter, but easy feeds four (for a starter) or two (for a main). It's all deep fried. Try it, many locals order it. We mostly had a bottle of white wine, one time Rosé. Always served in a nice wine cooler by the table. If you order White, then try the Fiano. Amazing Wine. Really loved our dinners here. Not the very cheapest. But worth the money. Great location, wonderful staff, lovely food. We'll be back one day.

We had the fried seafood platter with fresh and tasty calamari, shrimp and anchovies. Then the seafood spaghetti with vongole and pulpo. And they didn't cut short on the seafood. Good stuff! Beer was nice and cold. On the other day we went for the cozze (mussels) and vongole spaghetti (a real treat again) and penne with cream, speck (bacon) and red radicchio. Penne didn't look special, but tasted amazing. A nice mix of heavy cream, meat and veggies. But for temperatures of around 100°F a bit heavy :) Service was very friendly as well. It's less crowded and more secluded than the main beach club in Positano. We happened to be staying across the road which was lucky. If not, the beach club actually has a boat that will ferry you over from the main Positano area. The space isn't huge, so be sure to make a reservation in advance. In addition to reserving a chair you can also reserve a time slot to have lunch at the restaurant. 20 euro gets you a chair with a sun shade, a towel and an umbrella. We got there early and had first pick at a seat. If you can, I suggest doing the same. It was really nice to have views of the ocean (instead of another chair) in front of us. But honestly, the beach is so beautiful that there really isn't a bad seat anywhere. A chair also includes waitress service. There is an extensive drink menu with tons of cocktails, spritzes, wines, beers, frozen drinks and smoothies. Prices are very reasonable for a beach club -- cocktails are around 10 and bottles of wine 20. We weren't expecting much for lunch but the restaurant was actually phenomenal. The grilled octopus came with a huge portion and was super fresh. The ravioli pomodoro was perfectly al dente and stuffed with a delicious ricotta cheese. The grilled eggplant was simple and cooked in flavorful olive oil. Lunch was also fairly priced, and service was fast. The seats also overlook the water, so it's a beautiful and relaxing dining setting. Two people can walk away after a full day of fun and sun, eat and drink well, and spend not much over 100 euro. I strongly suggest making sure that your Positano itinerary includes a day to spend relaxing at Bagni. You won't regret it.

Choosing a la carte will take a while to make as it will be made to order (around 20 mins?), while glass counter items are cheaper and just reheated for you should you choose to eat in (yes, from a microwave). You order at the counter then seat yourself wherever. I had the spaghetti con vongole and was utterly shocked by the freshness, not a hint of fishiness, no grit, no sand. Spaghetti was buttery and just the right amount of flavor. Also had the cacio e pepe with mussels. Again, so fresh, so clean. Mussels were *just* cooked so they were super tender. Portions were kind of small, but I thought that was a fair exchange for the quality. We also ordered the seafood risotto from the counter, which was a bigger portion, though not so much seafood, but that was only 5€. Three primis plus large water totaled to only €26. And to think just earlier a nearby restaurant handed me a flier where lunch sets started at €25 per person!
