Two years ago, after doing a bit of research, I came across Luxe and decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! As a self-proclaimed nail snob (and someone spoiled by the endless high-quality options in LA), I was genuinely impressed. They took their time, were meticulous with their work, and the results were excellent. I've been twice now and both visits have been consistently great -- no issues whatsoever. I've seen some negative reviews and honestly don't understand them. My experience has been nothing but positive. The service is professional, the salon is clean and welcoming, and the quality is top-notch for the area. I'll definitely be returning this summer, and in the meantime, I'm gifting my mom a mani-pedi for Mother's Day -- she's also noticed a big difference between the technicians in Port Huron compared to those in St. Clair. She is incredibly nice and attentive. The spa pedicure we experienced was pure bless. My nails are so cute and skin so soft. My first experience with this salon was when I talked with the store through their website regarding walk-ins for a women's trim. I was told that they did do walk ins if they had the availability throughout the day. That same day I happened to be at the mall and wanted to give the salon a try. I walk in to the salon, the stylist were sitting up front messing around with some thread. I asked the stylist if they accepted walk ins and immediately got an attitude from one of the stylist who said they did not accept walk-ins. The stylist said I could set up an appointment which I said I wanted to but no one offered to make an appointment for me while I was in the store. I was given a $5 off card by one of the guys after he basically ran out of the store to give it to me. I proceeded with making my own appointment online from 1:30 - 2:00. I was running late from work so I called the salon at 1:23 and informed them that I was still coming and would be 10-15 minutes late and asked if there policy stated if you were x amount of minutes late if my appointment would be cancelled , I was told over the phone to still come in and they would cut my hair. I walked into the salon to the same thing no one in the store both stylist sitting at the front one was on their phone. The stylist I was seeing was sitting at the counter asked my name and proceeded again with an attitude calling me hun saying she wouldn't cut my hair because I was 15 minutes late and the 15 minutes of time from 1:45 to 2:00 was not long enough. I then stated I had just called and was told that I was still able to get a hair cut, the gentlement on his phone got an attitude and said no you said you were running 10 minutes late. I proceeded to get upset as I specifically asked over the phone what the policy was and was told to still come in. The guy proceeded to argue with me, I informed him I called the store at 1:23 and was there at 1:45 which meant I was a total of 12 minutes late, I understand not wanting to rush through a hair cut but little did this stylist know I have hair stylist in my family and that I know the game of a salon. I know that if you are not a regular customer at that said salon they would not go the extra mile for you. I also know that stylist typically have only 15 minutes to cut a clients hair. As excited as I was to finally find a permanent hair stylist I could continue to go to as I have been in search of good service and someone who is willing to go that extra mile for their client and yet again I was let down by another salon. I will not recommend this salon to anyone and will never go back. I hope this reaches the owner of this salon and no one else experiences this same service that I did.
