I can't figure out why I didn't give this place 5 stars to start with. But I will fix that right now. Tiny little bit of pure paradise, just off the main street, where you can buy flowers, plants, or beautiful little things you didn't realize you needed (a large, rusted metal daffodil? Must pillage the food budget to have it) (and yes, I do have it--there was a great assortment of handmade flowers and butterflies and signs created from recycled metal a few months ago). This place helps keep me sane. The owners are very adept at doing flowers for special events (weddings, dinners, funerals, what have you) and you may find the crew busily making little bouquets or swags or wreathes when you stop by, but they will always take time to let you select what you need. Or think you need. In the winter...oh, in the winter, it makes me understand that I will survive. And the shop dog is adorable (and tireless). read more

Called Tranquility Lane long distance for flowers to be delivered to Benbow Inn for a 'just the two of us' anniversary dinner. Gave a price limit to include delivery and tax. Flowers were on the table when we arrived. Lovely combination of my wife's favorite colors. Very pleased. read more

History

Established in 1990.

Tranquility Lane Flowers was started in 1990 as a cut and dried flower farm on Tranquility Lane in Whitethorn. They could be found weekly in downtown Garberville selling their crops from their flower cart. In 2001 they opened the Church St flower shop in Garberville, establishing an extremely successful and very busy flower business. In 2020 with the COVID crisis we made the decision to leave the shop and work from our studio here at the farm, filling orders for weddings, baby showers and every life event in between.

Meet the Business Owner: Donna L.

Donna has combined her love of gardenining and art into a successful floral design business. The flower shop allows her the perfect setting to offer her luxury artistic style of natural floral designs for weddings, events and everyday design. At the Whitethorn farm Donna works with her family to cultivate specialty cut flowers for a continual year round harvesting.
