I'm a big believer in dry cutting, and not everyone does it well. Dry cutting helps the stylist to account for the natural flow of your hair or any cowlicks. It supposedly causes less damage, too. Since I wanted a blond look, going in, I was worried my hair was going to end up looking gold and getting fried. Well... none of that happened. The balayage technique really kept my hair color looking natural, despite adding quite a bit of blond as I wanted. Ashley suggested Olaplex to help offset the damaging process of hair color. I am so glad I opted for it. She did one treatment in the salon and then I can do the additional treatments at home. Usually, highlights damage my hair, and a high lift like I got today would have fried it in some spots. So, this is definitely a first for me. I have left the salon with lightened hair and the condition feels and looks as good as when I came in. That being said, I was almost 100% natural with great hair condition going in, so that says a lot :)
