Since that time the facility changed management & became The Preston of the Park Cities. My mother has been a resident since the place first opened as Harbor Chase. The place is gorgeous and they are far more creative with their food and menus than any other place we initially looked at. Although there has been turnover in staff over the years, the best key players on staff stayed & have become real assets to the place. When Covid hit we were tremendously concerned about how this would be dealt with and how the residents would be protected. Watermark, who is the management company have done a phenomenal job handling the pandemic and keeping residents safe and their families well informed. The staff & residents were fully vaccinated by late January. Finding a great place for a parent, spouse or relative who needs assistance can be a very trying time in everyone's life. You'd be hard pressed to find a better place for them than The Preston of the Park Cities.

I don't usually write reviews, but the outstanding care and kindness I received from everyone on the staff deserve to be recognized. From the day I arrived, every single person treated me with compassion, respect, and genuine concern for my well-being. During my entire stay, I never encountered a single employee with a bad attitude. That alone says a great deal about the culture of this facility. There is a physician and a nurse practitioner who do rounds every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Both of them were never in a rush to listen to my concerns and issues with my recovery- and I had quite a few in the beginning. They even came to the PT area to make sure nobody was left out. That was truly amazing to me! The nursing staff provided excellent care and always made me feel safe and well looked after. Whenever I rang the bell in the painful stages of my recovery, someone showed up in a very timely fashion. Whenever they didn't, I knew it was because they were busy taking care of someone else, not because they didn't care. The physical therapy team was encouraging, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping me recover and regain my strength. The housekeeping staff kept my private room spotless and comfortable, making it feel like a home rather than a medical facility. The kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure I had meals I enjoyed. They were always accommodating and often prepared something extra when I needed it. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making my stay as pleasant as possible. I was also impressed by the administration and leadership. Whenever I needed something, they did everything they could to make it happen. Whether it was a special request or simply making sure I was comfortable, they always responded with kindness and professionalism. What stands out most about The Villages of Lake Highlands is the people. Every department--from administration and nursing to therapy, housekeeping, dietary services, and everyone working behind the scenes--works together with one goal: providing the best possible care for their residents. Their compassion, patience, and genuine love for the people they serve are evident every single day. Recovering away from home can be difficult, but the staff made me feel cared for, respected, and valued throughout my entire stay. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I am deeply grateful to everyone at Villages of Highland Park for their dedication, kindness, and exceptional care. This cost her much pain and led her to cry and scream, which the staff dealt with in the most humane and compassionate manner. They spoke softly, encouragingly, and continue to let her know that they were doing the best they could to help her without causing her any pain.
