All of the instructors always begin by reminding you to meet yourself where you are and that all of the movements are a suggestion and not a demand. I have had so many different classes with so many different instructors but they were all always welcoming and accepting in whatever way I arrived to class. The peace and calm that this studio has brought to my life cannot be properly written. I have cried and laughed during classes. I have grown stronger, not only physically but mentally. I feel such gratitude to this amazing piece of peace in Baltimore.

I am intrigued by the idea of herbal remedies and meditation as a form of stress relief and, thankfully, had purchased an Amazon Local coupon for an introductory Ayuvedic Self-Care session with Jana. Before my appointment, we spoke by phone and she asked me what part of the workshop I was most interested in as she would do her best to cater the lesson to my interest. Jana was gentle and considerate as she guided me through several forms of meditation from which I could select a practice that I felt most comfortable exploring on my own. I really appreciated how Jana approached the lesson by offering personal stories of how she developed her own meditation practice. I find that with slow, introspective activities such as yoga or mediation, it is always helpful to hear how there isn't a perfect "approach" but of continuous trial. Jana is patient and genuinely interested in helping you (the person, not the customer) learn a practice, not a routine. If you are curious about mediation or learning how to decrease your mental/emotional stresses, I recommend you take some time to make an appointment with Jana. If not for the practices, the go to sit and speak with her a while in her beautiful studio and to mingle a bit with Mingus, the cat, while sipping strawberry-infused water and listening to the smooths sounds of silence, chants, and jazz.

From the instructors to fellow members, the atmosphere is just so welcoming and non-judgemental. Becoming a regular and being greeted by name seriously makes my week! My favorite instructors and classes are the following: C2 with Leah - you can tell she puts so much intention behind her flows. She often starts with a brief excerpt at the beginning of class and I'm not sure if she finds them somewhere or writes them herself, but they are always concise and meaningful and her voice is SO soothing. I love her careful and supportive assists throughout class. C2 and yoga sculpt with Payton - her classes are always challenging but in a good way. I feel stronger and more energized afterwards. She gives you time to play and try out more advanced poses. We recently tried flying splits which I would've never attempted on my own! Yoga sculpt with Eliya - Eliya's playlists are always on point! Her classes are challenging and fun. I always get such a great sweat in and I love her vibe. I look forward to her 4:30pm Friday sculpt all week! C2 with Eleanor - Eleanor does a great job queuing poses and helping you make adjustments without even needing to do hands-on assists. Her flows are often really creative and fun. I'm also a big fan of the CSX classes but just don't find as much time in my schedule to give them a go. Kira and Hayden are both great CSX teachers! Beyond the classes and the people, I can confidently say I've seen a transformation in both my practice and my body. I've gotten stronger, more balanced, and grounded as a result. I'm able to do poses and expressions that I used to struggle with and my chaturanga is the strongest it's ever been!

I love this center and school. They offer classes for kids from 1.5 to 15 and have many classes for…read moreadults. Foreign languages, music, dance, art, sewing to name a few. Sewing classes for kids is the favorite of many kids. I highly recommend this center and school to anyone who is looking for well-rounded students and holistic educational system. In addition, they have concerts, Masterclasses for adults. They also have a working cafe. It is a hidden gem in Pikesville.
