Sometimes you just have to treat yourself! Do the things you would do for someone else or want them to do for you, to YOURSELF! I did fine this establishment on Groupon because I was searching for a massage to help relieve some stress. They were right around the corner from my job so how perfect for me to have a session immediately after work. It did take a little bit of time scheduling and phone tag but I was able to schedule for the day that I wanted. I decided to purchase directly with them after speaking over the phone and scheduling. I walked in and immediately was attracted to the decor. All the colors that I love displayed in the reception and bathroom areas. Make sure to fill out your intake forms before you arrive to save everyone time and not to take away from your massage. I was able to have Deborah treat me and she was very attentive. She asked me if there were any specific areas I needed more work on and when I had time left at the end, she asked if I wanted her to revisit some areas. I only chose for a massage this town but they also offer IV treatments as well as floats. I may try one of the two but need to do a little bit more research on them first. I love serenity and from the smells to the sounds this place encapsulates it all. I remember how amazing I fell after celebrating my birthday at the spa all day and this immediately took me back to that feeling. How can I not go back? They're right around the corner from my job and we know how stressful work can be and just our everyday lives. The question is, how frequently will they take me back I was informed there will be some sales coming up and combo packages that I am excited to learn of.

Large professional float place with awesome shower with few downsides. Lot: Shared strip mall lot, for my midday apt there was PLENTY of spots. Atmosphere: Nice place that seems huge. I did not do a tour but I can imagine they have multiple services (I only floated) or bunches of tanks. I was late so I flew threw it but the front desk had a Mac with huge monitor, passed a nice water fridge, and L.O.V.E.D the shower. The speaker for the music didn't work but everything else was good and clean. Experience: I've floated before but its been years. If u haven't, you should try it. The first five minutes are weird as you adjust but it's totally a cool experience to not know where the water ends and you begin. You will go zen and totally relax. Its awesome and like a bottle of wine without the hangover. Price/Value; I got a Groupon but they say it's $80 which I think is high however on the website they have lots of combo deals that really make it worth it. Service: Nice staff. Both wore masks when I got closer to them. The first guy was so excited I was exited about the place and gave me a high five when I was like wow this is so much nicer then I expected. No pressure to do a membership if they have them, not sure. Recommendation to business owner; Label your buttons and amenities. What is the shampoo versus body wash? What button does what?

I really enjoyed my float therapy session. This was probably the most relaxed my body has been in a long time. Being able to disconnect from everything and just meditate was most rewarding. If you aren't able to truly relax then this isnt for you. I recommend taking deep breaths as you float. It'll help center your mind and your body. They provided a shower, towels, lotion, shampoo, sanitizer, ear plugs etc. You're in your own room so there's complete privacy.

Massage review with Sunshine - 5 star I found Journey Within Wellness Center through a massage Groupon. Was able to quickly get an appointment with Sunshine for a 60 minute massage. While she was running behind for our first appointment, I didn't mind. The office/seating area is welcoming and calming. She brought me back and we had a 10 minute chat about my needs as I am recovering from back related issues. The massage was very nice and full body - she called it "exploratory" since I hadn't had a massage in a couple years. She suggested a longer massage next time, so I purchased a three 90-minute massage package for a very reasonable price. Have been back to see her 3 times since then and I always feel incredibly better. The sessions aren't always comfortable as she works through flexibility and muscles but I always feel better afterwards. I have another 3 appointments scheduled with her coming up and look forward to them all. They are following COVID protocols with temperature checks upon arrival and mandatory hand sanitizer. They are also sanitizing the single restroom between uses. The parking lot is empty on the weekends but does get full during the week - suggest leaving time for arrival in case you have to hunt a little for parking.

JWWC was amazing! The is was my first time doing float therapy and I was not disappointed. I booked the night before for an 11am 30min float & 30min Thai massage (recommended by the host). When I showed up I was seen right away. The host escorted me to my room, explained how floatation therapy worked, room amenities, and let me ask any questions. The room is private (loved!) and equipped with a Dyson blow dryer, lotion, body wash, conditioner, towel, ear plugs, and bamboo mat. The shower had multiple settings and I tested out each one. The water was hot and The floatation tank had two settings: color changing lights or complete darkness. I used both settings and it was amazing. You have the option to have soothing music or silence. There was an intercom to page the front desk if you needed assistance, spray bottle filled with fresh water if you accidentally got salt in your eye (saved me!) and a foam board to help with spine alignment during your float. My Thai massage was painful!! I didn't know what to expect but my muscles were rolled and stretched by E. He gave me recommendations to lay off the dairy and sugar because my muscles were inflamed. .:sigh:. He was very knowledgable and I'm very appreciative . After the float and massage they let me check our and gave me a bottle of water for my departure. I highly recommend this place and I love that they give you a 30min option to test out floating. There is also a Groupon available so check it out it if you have a chance.

This is the float tub. I am 6ft and was able to extend diagonally and not touch the sides.

I had a great experience with float therapy. The folks at the front didn't over complicate it. Took me back to the room and explained everything. Once he left you have about 5 min to undress and rinse in their awesome shower. Once you rinse you can get into the floating tub. It was warm. You really do float without much effort. I used the foam halo to keep my head up but I don't think it would have been necessary. You can adjust the amount of sensory deprivation by changing the colors of the led light in the tub. You can also turn it off all together. Just lay back and relax.

When it first opened, everything was great: clean, shiny, well functioning showers and pods. My one minor complaint is the water temperature of the pod. Granted, I run a little colder than most being anemic, but the temperature is lukewarm at best. I know it's not meant to be a sauna, but I would really prefer a warmer temperature. You do get used to it, but particularly in the winter months, I want my water heated past indoor pool temperature. 84-88 is the temperature best suited for aquatic therapy and this seems more like it's in the high 70s. Thankfully, my showers have always worked though the last time I was present, a customer was reaming out the employee as her water pressure was super low and the water was ice cold. Personally, I'd have left the room during the pod to be moved to a different room rather than enduring but that's just me. Nevertheless, the employee still handled things with grace and professionalism. My pod experience this last go round was different than that first year. I can tell that the pods have seen a lot of use; it shows. The interior handle used to open and close was missing. This made it more cumbersome to slide my doors close (or open them at the end). The finish is peeling and all in all, it looks like some maintenance is overdue. The lounge area could stand to have an additional oxygen bar since there are only two tanks and matching cords. I've noticed when people come out, they sit in those pods but don't always get the oxygen. Maybe directing these people to the back orientation room would be better and allow the lounge area the ability to provide oxygen to more folks? All in all, it's an okay experience. I do feel a bit more rested coming out but I usually always follow this up with a nice soak in my tub afterward.

I noted in other reviews that it's mandatory to arrive 30 minutes early for first float orientation. This fact wasn't emphasized when I called to make my appointment so I can see why there might be some confusion. Perhaps setting first appointments for 1.5 hours might make this more clear. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly staff person who requested I put on plastic slippers and leave my shoes begin. This was a nice touch. Later I noted the slippers are soaked in a cleaning solution. I appreciate this as the slippers can then be reused. Next the staff person gave me a quick tour and showed me to the video room. The video was one part advertisement, one part orientation and one part sales pitch to buy a franchise. This last bit seemed a little much given I hadn't tried the float yet but i understand this is business. I returned to the lounge to wait my turn. A previous floater had just come out and the staff asked how things had gone. Apparently the shower didn't function well but the float was good. My turn came up and I was escorted back. I noted there were multiple float pod rooms. I was given a quick orientation to the room. The staff person opened the pod and said "This is where the magic happens!" All I can say here is there must be a generational difference in this phrases meaning. The staff person left and I turned on the shower. Ice cold water streamed out. I fiddled with the tap trying to get some warmth. Eventually managed some lukewarm water after a great amount of time. Then I couldn't shut the tap off!! My float time was beginning as I heard the narrator began her instructions. Finally got the shower down to a trickle and stepped in. The water here was warm clean and comfortable. It took my shower jangled nerves a while to calm down but when I did I had an excellent float experience. The end of the float was signaled by a loud door chime tone. The shower situation was no better. This time it was scalding hot water. Really took me right out of relaxation mode pretty quickly. I left the room for some oxygen bar time. The staff person set me up quickly and asked how the soak was. I noted all the shower issues. She acknowledged them and said she could add a note to my file so I would be in a different room Next time. This part mystified me. Why not give new customers the best experience this time? Additionally she noted that the prior customer had said the same thing about the shower. Apparently we had both been in the same room. There were other rooms so I don't understand why subject customers to a non working shower. Overall the float was great, staff was kind, the place was clean, but I wouldn't return based on the shower issues.

I have been a client here for nearly two years and feel the massage therapists working here are…read moreoverall very skilled and professional. You can't go wrong with any of them and they're the real reason to visit this massage studio. The massage rooms and tables are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the float tanks are a really cool experience as well. There is a beautiful sauna area that's very Instagram worthy. All of the areas where you receive a service feel very serene, spa-like, and upscale. Meredith is a lovely person and makes really good use of aromatherapy and long holds or pauses in her massage that make you feel super relaxed and zen. She is certified in pregnancy massage and does a great job. Marcus has super strong hands, is ideal to see if you're looking for deep tissue massage, and makes good use of hot stones and warm towels. Ben is great as well, did some passive stretching along with the massage for tight areas. Karen seems to intuitively know the perfect amount of pressure to use and does the best head and face massage ever. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the entrance and waiting area you sit in prior to your massage/float doesn't really match the atmosphere of the other rooms. I think it's a little too kitsch and cluttered and reminds me of walking into a small store that feels very casual and doesn't have the ambiance of the massage rooms. Unfortunately not very "Instagram worthy". There's a lot of stuff for sale that isn't directly related to massage or even wellness, such as bohemian style clothing, silver jewelry, wind chimes, etc. The Speakeasy room has relatively uncomfortable seating (there are two firm, backless benches and just two chairs with a low back), more displays of non-massage related things for sale (such as non alcoholic refrigerated drinks, candies, books, artwork, etc.), large displays of business cards and fliers for other local businesses, and dark furniture which just makes the room feel small and cluttered. You sort of feel like you are waiting in a shop rather than being a member at an upscale massage and wellness studio. The self serve tea display is really, really nice but just gets lost in the clutter/decor/fliers. And my only other gripe is that the infrared sauna is preset to a really, really high temperature (maybe higher than spa saunas I have used elsewhere) and I was told it doesn't allow for adjustments. I was excited to use the sauna but couldn't tolerate it more than a few minutes at a time. During my sauna session I simply had to exit the sauna every few minutes to cool off a bit. I realize this is maybe because I am a sauna newbie but I do wish there was an "intro to sauna" setting for those like me to use. In summary: great services, great massage therapists, kitschy entryway/waiting area design which is absolutely not a dealbreaker

We showed up early as instructed, only to find the door locked. Lights off. No staff. Nothing. Their sign said Sunday "By Appointment Only," yet apparently even when you have an appointment, no one shows up. I called their Bethesda location, and the first receptionist claimed we weren't in the system--even though I booked on Wednesday at 2:22 PM (I checked my call log and took a screenshot). Someone took all of my details including my credit card, but somehow my appointment "didn't exist." Then the owner got on the phone and said she actually could see me in their system but didn't know what happened. She blamed a software switch on Tuesday... but I booked on Wednesday. So that excuse made no sense. Her only solution was to ask if we could come tomorrow. No, we actually can't--because unlike her business, we plan ahead. I took the weekend off from my real estate schedule to celebrate. We booked a hotel in Tysons, hired a dog sitter, and made a whole day of this. And it was completely wasted. What really stunned me was the total lack of care. No apology that felt meaningful. No attempt to make it right. No offer of a complimentary service. Nothing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never handle a mistake like this this way. Our anniversary plans were basically ruined because this spa didn't bother to honor our confirmed appointment--or provide any real remedy afterward. Don't waste your time or money here. If they can't handle a simple booking, I wouldn't trust them with anything else either.
