The transportation and ticket center is the central transportation hub for magic kingdom. If you drove to Magic Kingdom, then you will end up here. The parking lot of Magic Kingdom is massive! This is my issue with it, its so large, that's fine, but they never have enough trams to pick up people. You end up waiting and then are jammed on the tram. Once you get to the front of the ticket center you have to go through security. This is another issue, they only have one line. There are so many people and one line! It's crazy! The ticket center also has ticket booths, but I would recommend buying your ticket ahead of time. Once you are past security you have three options to get to the parks: you can 1. Take the monorail to Magic Kingdom, 2. Take the Ferry Boat to Magic Kingdom or 3. Take the monorail to EPCOT. This is also the spot if you are park hoping from Magic to EPCOT or vice versa. You can also get to the monorail resorts from here. Overall this is fine, you kind of have no option if you drive to Magic Kingdom. Chances are you will go through here at some point. If you are visiting Magic Kingdom, then this is where you are headed. It is the only option if you drive, to get to Magic Kingdom. The transportation and ticket center is the main hub, it is attached to the parking lot which is giant. Once you get here, you have 3 options. 1. Take the monorail to Magic Kingdom 2. Take the Ferry Boat to Magic Kingdom 3. Take the monorail to EPCOT And then on really busy days or when there are issues with the Ferry or Monorail, they have buses to take you to Magic Kingdom. This is fine, there is not much to say about it. You have to come through here when you drive to Magic Kingdom. If you plan on ending the day at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, (park hoping to both), I would suggest parking here. It is easy to hop via the monorail from Magic to EPCOT. You can also purchase tickets here but the lines are long in the morning. I would also recommend getting your tickets before heading to the park. They also have security checkpoint here, so you will go through security, but then when you get to the park you do not have to go through again, you have already done it. The security line can get long, they usually funnel everyone into one line which is slightly annoying. Its so large and so many people, they need to have multiple lines open. My real issue with this place is the parking. The parking lot is so large and the rows are so long. They never have enough trams taking you up to the ticket center. You end up having to wait forever in the morning and then again at night. You can walk but it can potentially be a really long walk depending on where you park. The only reason we went to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is because we had to transfer at the monorail station here to get from Magic Kingdom to EPCOT. From what I experienced, the TTC was a clean and efficient station for switching lines. We had no issues. More generally, the TTC serves as the central transportation hub for Disney World. In addition to the Monorail System, the TTC features: 1. Ferryboat Service: Large boats that run exclusively between the TTC and the Magic Kingdom entrance. 2. Parking: Massive lots (the "Heroes" and "Villains" lots) with over 12,000 spots and tram service. 3. Rideshare & Taxis: There's a dedicated area in the Jungle Lot for Uber and Lyft pick-ups and drop-offs. 4. Bus Service: This area mostly services off-site hotel shuttles and Orlando's local public bus system, Lynx. Disney-operated buses to other parks like Animal Kingdom typically leave from the individual park gates or resorts, not the TTC. Note: While the TTC handles the big ferries, the smaller water taxis to the resorts, like Wilderness Lodge or the Grand Floridian, actually dock directly at the Magic Kingdom entrance, not here at the TTC. Tip: A plus of using the TTC is security screening happens before you board the monorail or ferry. Because the monorail stations at the TTC, Magic Kingdom, and EPCOT are all within "secure zones," you don't have to go through security again when you arrive at the park gates. Monorail to Epcot stops here for one to catch the monorail to Magic Kingdom and the 3 Deluxe Resort Hotels. This is late August, so it's hot & humid (love it). Caught the hotel monorail stopping off at the Polynesian for a walk-around-n-discover journey. Then got back on stopping off at the Floridian, then MK, then Contemporary. Flying solo that week, I was able to cross over with Cast Member permission (of course) from Epcot to MK monorail & back (upon my return from the round trip). This is NOT the norm, so make sure to ask a CM. This is much better than exiting the station & then walking back up the ramps. This was my first visit to WDW ever. I spent 7 days just discovering the transportation system & 15 of the 20+ hotels. I needed at least another 3-4 days but truth be told, 30 is a better number. read more

In order to get to Epcot from the Polynesian resort, we had to go to the Transportation and Ticket Center to catch a monorail over to Epcot. There is also a monorail that goes to Magic Kingdom as well. The monorail we took from the Polynesian went to Magic Kingdom, and then to the Transportation Ticket Center. We then moved over to the monorail going to Epcot. It was pretty seamless, but the transfer did take approximately 30 minutes. My family enjoyed the monorail experience though! There are also ferries available too! The ferry will bring you over the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It's nice, relaxing ride to view the Disney World surroundings at Magic Kingdom! read more

The ticket and transportation center is the last stop you hit before you reach Magic Kingdom! This is where you and the thousands of other people visiting the park, a couple resorts and a few other half way points will stop first. Parking here is at the price of $25 dollars for normal or $50 for preferred, bugger cars pay a little more (I.e. RV's). If you hold onto your receipt you get parking for the rest of the day here and the other parks. They have trams to take you to bag check and security and once you are done with that, which goes by very quickly because it's all metal detectors now and no one physically searching everything you have, you are able to take the monorail or boat over to the park. They also have a joffreys coffee stand and bathrooms to use before you hop aboard your preferred choice of transportation. You are also able to buy or pick up your tickets for the parks here as well, however you should definitely buy ahead because of the reservation system Disney is currently using. read more

The ticket and transportation center is the hub for all things Disney. Not only does it have 3 different monorail lines but also access to the ferry boat and buses are here. The monorails are the most popular and fastest mode of transportation. It is important to read the different lines. The express AKA Magic Kingdom monorail provides non-stop service to the Magic Kingdom and back and runs counterclockwise. The resort monorail provides a stop at each of the resorts along the 7 seas lagoon, including the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary resort. It also stops at the Magic Kingdom. It runs in a clockwise direction. Note if you are staying at the Polynesian, there is a walkway to the ticket and transportation center that takes about 10 minutes. It's a lot easier than doing the local circuit. The EPCOT monorail provides direct service to EPCOT center. It's a great way of connecting the two parks. The ferry boat provides direct service to the Magic KIngdom. The buses will take you to other resorts and Disney Springs. Due to the popularity of the monorail two things are known to happen. First every car is usually crowded meaning you'll be standing for most of your ride. Second, the monorails tend to break down easily and you are unnecessarily delayed in getting to where you want to go. Cast members are on sight to answer any questions you may have and of course you can buy theme park tickets here before boarding. Still it is my preferred method of transportation when visiting the parks and I have been content with it since. You must pay to park before coming here. Transportation and Ticket Center gets four stars. Over the years I learned to expedite my visits to and from Disney from South Florida. My first visit when my daughter was 3 or 4 years old I drove my old 67 Camaro. That was the first and last time I dealt with parking and buying tickets. My travel agent friend said I could get a package including tickets and bus transportation for the number of days I needed. I got everything in advance and got the bus at a location in Fort Lauderdale. The bus took us to the park and we had scheduled times throughout the day when we could shuttle to our hotel. It was so convenient with a child. We always selected the hotel near a diner we loved to have breakfast before the shuttle left for Disney. Since we had our tickets entry was quick. We spent more time enjoying ourselves. If you are visiting another city in Florida and want to go to Disney for a day or two I'd suggest you check out a bus package arrangement with tickets included. Parking is SO FAR from the parks... i feel like most people purchase their tickets ahead of time so the ticketing center is almost pointless nowadays. As for the transportation, the options are ferry or monorail. We chose monorail. Masks are "mandatory" yet most people weren't wearing them. On the ferry, masks are optional. Once train arrived, unloaded passengers, it departed empty. Voice announcement came over PA system advising that the Monorail would not be running. Can I be honest? I don't really like this Transportation center. From what I read, I understand that Walt Disney wanted you to have the "experience" of leaving the real world and being transported to the park. Let's be real, some of us (or our significant others) don't get to escape that real world with cell phones and work emergencies. The annoying thing is that you have to park here and take a monorail or boat to get to the Magic Kingdom. This experience just adds an extra 10-15 minutes on to my morning, it's inconvenient. First you need to park, then possibly take a tram to the TTC. We usually arrive pretty early in the morning, so we walk to it, but still it takes time. Once you arrive at the TTC you have the bag check lines and metal detectors. Don't get me wrong, I am all about security in these crazy times that we live in. Then you wait in a giant crowd to board the boat or you can board the monorail (if it's open that early). Then it's time for more lines to get into the park with your wrist band or pass. I find it so much easier to go to Animal Kingdom, Epcot or Hollywood Studios in the early morning. You park, walk in (or take the tram), do bag check and scan your pass. I am honestly SHOCKED that Disney doesn't have a better ticket system. Maybe it is great for some, but standing in line for over an hour to redeem a voucher I purchased on a military base was totally unnecessary. It wasn't even during the peak season. I already paid, it was just me, I only needed to show my military ID to get the trip started. There is no world where this transaction should have taken over an hour of my day- except Disney's TTC I guess. There is little shade in the queues adding to the frustration and the least magical way to start a Disney trip. It is a cool concept I guess. Making you leave the real world behind and experience the transition to the park of your choice by boat, bus, or monorail. Really it just feels like you are throwing stale bread on a gourmet sandwich. You start and end each day/bite with a gross taste in your mouth and frustrating experience. I don't know what suggestions to throw out to improve the experience, but I hope it is on the list of things that will be improved as Disney evolves with the times. read more

The Transportation and Ticket Centre (from now on referred to as TTC in this review) is Disney efficiency at its best! This is where you will Park if heading to The Magic Kingdom. If you're going to Epcot and plan on "hopping" to MK later in the day, you may want to Park here and take the monorail into Epcot rather than parking at the Epcot lot. If so, just follow the signs to MK parking. This is also where the shuttle busses from hotels off-property will drop you if heading to The Magic Kingdom. And it's where LYNX (Orlando's public bus transportation) will drop you. If you're heading to The Magic Kingdom, you can take the monorail or the ferry. Often, it's much quicker to take the ferry rather than the monorail. If the line is really, really long, I'd suggest the ferry. It's also a nice, relaxing, scenic ride. There's also a monorail to take you to Epcot and a monorail to take you to the Resorts on the loop which are the Contemporary, The Grand Floridian, and The Polynesian. There is no monorail that goes straight from The Magic Kingdom to Epcot, so if you are hopping between those Parks, you'll find yourself here at the TTC because you'll have to switch monorails. Don't worry, there are huge signs directing you where to go, and of course, there are always very friendly Cast Members who can help you with where you need to go. You'll find very clean restrooms here, a small gift shop http://www.yelp.com/biz/mickeys-gift-station-lake-buena-vista and a small snack shop that has coffee, soda, muffins, cookies, etc. If you are parking here, make sure to note where you park. Unless you are parking in the handicapped parking area, more than likely you'll be parked pretty far out. There are a few ways to get around - bus, monorail, ferry boat, and tram. The tram takes you from Magic Kingdom parking to the transportation center. The monorail can take you from the transport center to Magic Kingdom, a different monorail can take you from the transport center to Epcot (and the resorts). The ferries go from the transport center to Magic Kingdom and back. Buses pretty much take you to any site on property. One of the issues here is that it's a massive space, due to the amount and variety of the options. This means it can be a little hard to find what you need, but signage is decent, so be sure to look around. There are also several employees around the property, so you can always ask them questions if needed. Overall: B Great place to grab a ride to hit up Disney fun! read more

Well, if you want to go to Magic Kingdom, you will most likely be going through the Ticket and Transportation Station. There are no trams running to take you from your row to the front so put on your walking shoes. There are are a few EV charging stations. The one that is at the end of the medial parking row works but is typically full. This morning, it was available. The medical parking is at the front but can fill up quick so you might have to park in the overflow and walk a bit. There is preferred parking but costs a lot of money. Sometimes on busy days, there is a bus that runs from Ticket and Transportation to Magic Kingdom. It's on the far right from where you go through security. If you see the sign that has Bus To Magic Kingdom, take it! It's rarely full and is a quick way to the Magic. You need to wear a mask on the bus and monorail (at least right now) but you don't have to on the Ferry. The bathrooms by the entrance and busses are less smelly (sewer gas) than the ones near the ferry entrance. There is a Joffrey's near the Ferry entrance for water, coffee, hot chocolate, and a few snacks. read more

It's time for a revamp. Ready? Here we go, and I'll even throw in the extra star. As the name states on this page, this is the place to buy tickets for various Disney Theme Parks and utilize the available transportation options for each one. Each park can be reached only by bus. Epcot and Magic Kingdom parks can also be reached by the monorail. Magic Kingdom can also be reached by a little ferry. Trams are available for those who parked in the Heroes and Villains parking lots. When I was younger, we stayed at a hotel off of Palm Parkway in Orlando. There, a free shuttle bus from the hotel brought us here. We took the monorail to Magic Kingdom a couple of times, and then rode a small ferry back to the facility. Fun times back then; now time for my most recent experience. We came here via a coach bus from the Royal Caribbean Anthem Of The Seas in favor of Epcot. From there, we proceeded to the ticket area to claim our tickets. Because we came here on a weekday, there was little to no line there. Then, we proceeded to the Epcot Monorail Station to board. The line there was minimal. When we came back, we were able to locate our coach bus without an issue. In fact, we didn't encounter any issues here at all this time. MAGICAL CROSSROADS Disney knows how to move people both magically or in a vehicle. If you arrive here by car you will be shuttled to this location via a tram. But there are a few things to remember like are you parking in the Heros Lot or Villians Lot and what is your Disney character. Write this info down or do what I do and just take a photo of the pavement which shows character and row number. It's the easiest way to remember where you're parked when getting back to your car at 3:30am. Oh yeah I'm a Magic Hours Guy from open to close. The tram then brings you to the Transportation Center where you can purchase tickets if you do not have them already. If you have tickets then you have a few choices. There is a ferry to the magic kingdom which is very fast. I timed it one night and the mile trip across the Seven Seas Lagoon took only 7 minutes from port to port. That was much faster then I remember as a child. When I was a child my Dad would make us take the paddle boat over and I remember it taking forever. As an adult, now I realize it's not that bad. I also learned that the three ferries are named after former Disney executives. I rode on the Admiral Joe Fowler back to the transportation center last week. The other two are the General Joe Potter and the Richard F. Irvine. I think that is really cool. Disney always has a story. The other choice is the monorail. The monorail can take you to many places. One monorail takes you to Epcot. Another monorail takes you to the Magic Kingdom with a stop in the Contemporary Hotel. I always found this amazing as a child seeing our monorail go through the building. A third monorail goes to the resorts towards the Polynesian Resort and the Grand Floridian Resort. If you're in a hurry keep an eye out for the express monorail which doesn't stop at all and gets you right to the Magic Kingdom. There are so many magical ways to get to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Disney is one of the best at moving people and getting them to the family fun. Arriving into the Magic Kingdom is a magical moment, so take a breath and enjoy everything that Disney is. read more

It's the Hub. The TTC is the gateway to Disney for a lot of people - everyone piles in here to go somewhere else. You may think WTF at first, but the TTC is a pretty important part of Disney World. There are so many connecting transportation pathways here, it's just easier to list them off: The TTC is... 1. The base of the Disney Monorail system 2. The location of the Magic Kingdom parking lot 3. Where shuttles drop you from off-property resorts 4. Where LYNX (Orlando's public bus system) drops you off 5. Where you can take the ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom park 6. The location of a walkway to the Polynesian Resort As the name suggests, they also sell park tickets here. The parking lot here is huge - a cast member told me it's the 4th largest parking lot in the world and holds around 16,000 cars. Like other Disney lots, trams are available to take you from the lot to the main area of the TTC. You can access all four parks from the TTC (granted you need to go to the Magic Kingdom and catch a bus if you want to go to the Studios or Animal Kingdom). You're also just a monorail ride away from the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary Resorts. You can't get everywhere from the TTC, but you can indirectly get to most things - truly a Disney asset. read more

The Ticket and Transportation Hub, or TTC, is the central parking location to several of the Walt Disney World locations. From here, you can catch monorail to the resorts, to Epcot, or to Magic Kingdom. They also have a ferry boat that goes to Magic Kingdom only. The primary security checkpoint for Disney is located here also. Expect to have every single bag out, with every pouch and zipper opened, ready for inspection. Even after you go through the checkpoint, there is a reasonable chance they could still expect you to walk through metal detectors. If you have a baby in a stroller, be prepared to be separated from his child briefly while you go through the metal detector. It is about 10 feet away from the detectors, and they expect you to leave the child in the stroller. The parking lot is massive, but it is grouped by character and row, so as long as you write it down or text yourself, it's pretty easy to find your car afterwards. They do have a shuttle/tram that takes you to and from your car, though you may still have a little bit of walking to do when they drop you off. Wait times can vary wildly based on whether you're taking the monorail or the ferry, and how busy it is when you arrive. Given that you don't really have any other options on where to park, I can't say I recommend it because it's the only choice. That being said it's not a terrible experience. read more

Caveat: This review is based on a trip in November when the park was not especially crowded. If you're headed to the Magic Kingdom, you'll end up in the Transportation and Ticket Center. The lot for the Magic Kingdom is enormous - I've read that the whole of Disney Land could fit in this parking lot - and is divided into the Heroes section and the Villians section. You will be guided to a parking place from which you'll walk to catch one of the constantly running trams up to the front gate. Once through the gate - you have the opportunity to purchase tickets here if you haven't already - you can choose how you'd like to travel to the Magic Kingdom. By boat? Head forward and to the left to catch the ferry. By monorail? Head up and to the right. We rode the monorail on our first day, and the ferry on our last. The monorail is faster, but the ferry provides some great views of the Magic Kingdom - especially if you're leaving at night. I was very impressed with how efficiently the TTC was run. There was always a tram waiting, and it didn't leave until a second one pulled up behind it, ready to take on more passengers. During our visit, I'd say they were running every five minutes or so. I expect that during peak season, they're going pretty much constantly. read more

A central hub of transportation throughout the Walt Disney World property. Take a boat, monorail or bus to anywhere on Disney property or off. One of the things I have started to appreciate more about this place is the security check point. It is further away from the Magic Kingdom Park. So, it gives you an easier transition to the park. Especially, if you are going to buy a ticket. I only hope security is given a better more individualized home. read more

I get what this place is all about but I dread having to come here just to go to Magic Kingdom. I always try to find quicker ways but I don't know. I love going to the other parks simply for the ease of parking and going in but if I want to go to my beloved Magic Kingdom, its always a production of jumping through hoops. There's a Joffrey's here so there's that. And I think you can purchase tickets here... There are a number of options to get yourself to Magic Kingdom. The first option which I don't think many know of because when we use it we're usually alone. The bus. There's a bus that will drive you right up to Magic Kingdom. When the bus is there this is the best option. There is no wait, no crowd, it drives you right there. When I see this I squeal with delight because its the easiest way there. But its not always an option. So the next option is the monorail. The monorail will take you to the resorts and to the Magic Kingdom. This is my next favorite option because its usually pretty fast but depending on time you might be waiting for others and fighting a tight crowd waiting to stuff themselves into a magic tube. Last time we went we waited awhile because they decided right then was the time to move trains onto different tracks? I don't know they then told us we could leave the line and go to the ferry or wait 5-15 min to ride the ferry. Which leads me to my least favorite option, the ferry. I don't like the ferry because I feel like I'm never there in time to just load it so it always involves waiting and watching this slow ferry cross the water and I am so impatient. I just want to get to Main Street! Plus once you're on if you don't get on close to the beginning you're stuffed with lots of people and likely standing. I do like the actual boat ride. Its pretty and you can see the sites and enjoy the breeze if you're outside. Though once I saw someone throwing up out the side and since then I've never looked at it the same. read more

We were only going to Magic Kingdom, and the ONLY way to get there is to park at the TTC, and take either the Monorail or Ferry to the Main Gates. There was a lot of conflicting information about this, so for others looking....you CANNOT park in front of the Magic Kingdom gates. The TTC is where you park. That being said, the ride wasn't too bad. We got to the TTC about 45 min before the park opened. It took about 8 min to park and walk to the TTC, and after waiting a couple of minutes for the monorail, (we took the one that stops at 2 resorts on the way to Magic Kingdom) it took about 8 minutes to arrive at the main gates! (I was looking for this info when planning our trip, so hopefully it helps others). The ride was smooth and quick. Nothing to complain about! read more

During our 2013, "Around the World in a wheelchair tour" the TTC comes with mixed reviews. The handicap parking is somewhat close BUT, no tram access!! And you have to push the wheel chair down and back up a long walkway to the actual Transportation and Ticket Center main area. And then back up another ramp to the Monorail, while cool to ride, it is a pain to push your chair back up the ramp to exit and load back onto the monorail after a long day in the park. I noticed long lines late at night to ride the monorail from the MK back to the TTC, and I wasn't going to try to hold my chair in place on a hill during the wait. Best access to the MK from the TTC is by the ferry boat, while a bit chilly late at night, during our stay, the access is fairly flat, one moderate hill from the TTC entrance way, but on the MK side it is a slight slope up to the security check point. All monorail waiting areas have an accessible area for your group, about two chairs or one chair and one scooter can fit into each monorail. Family riders, depending on the number in your group, might have to squeeze in for everyone in your party and the other chair's group can fit. I'll do some research and to see if there are elevator's for easier access to the monorail platform, I didn't see any during my visit, nor did I ask. read more

Benjamin G. is the reason we utilized this center. This is THE BEST PLACE to go and park if you are doing more than one park in a day. This is the hub-bub of places, sort of the Grand Central Station, if you will, of Disney. All buses, monorails, and just about any form of transportation meets here. You can access anything at Disney from this one single spot. Save yourself some time, make this your first destination before venturing to more than one park. read more

I understand the need for a transportation hub, but I never understood why you can drive right up to the other three parks (well, sort of) but you have to park across a lake from the Magic Kingdom. Like Eric S. advised, avoid the crazy crowd at the monorail and take the ferry. It's like looking in a rearview mirror: Things may APPEAR to be moving slower, but it's actually not bad at all and there's more room to move around. In addition, if you're planning on going to Epcot, my advice would be to park at Epcot and take the monorail over from there if you're park hopping. read more

TTC This is your gateway to the Magic Kingdom. You will be either ferried or monorailed or even bussed back to your car/Hotel. Some think that this is a hot mess, that they don't dismantle the traffic fast enough, but if you actually knew how many folk you're dealing with, well... you'd give the park a bit of slack, they're actually running a lot of trams and buses to get you where you need to go. They really can only run so many at a time. read more

The hub. The place where you are divided from the masses onward to where your imagination and dreams come true! Ferry? Check. Monorail? Check. Busses? Check. Go Go Go! The parking lot is HUMONGOMGITSSOBIG! They pick you up from the center lanes in trams and take you to the monorail station. Take your choice of transportation from there and make your way to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, or one of the resorts on site. My favorite is the monorail. As in the name, this is one place to get your ticket and/or pass. read more

The big hub! This is your go-to spot for parking for the Magic Kingdom, resorts, and some other Disney things. Not too much to be done here other than hop the ferry, monorail, or bus to get to the parks of your hotel. Here's a helpful hint: The monorail can seriously back up and take a few cycles of waiting to get on. If you're taking the monorail from Epcot and want to get to the Magic Kingdom, consider the bus to the MK. This park has the most buses that run from the Transportation and Ticket Center and only take about 5-10 minutes to get to the park. Not a bad compromise. Take the ferry if you never have. Such a nice memory and always a great 10-15 minutes of relaxation on a hot day! Also, this is a great stop for a bathroom break if you need one. read more
