The store is well laid out with clearly identifiable areas i.e separate decorating section etc. They have quite a good range of plants and out door goods. The staff are very helpful and friendly and are always happy to order things in for you. They have the usual hard to wheel B&Q trolleys but do have plenty of normal ones as well so you can usually manage to get a manoeuvrable one!

It has it's own car park area which I would think is unlikely to ever be full. There are several other large shops int he same shopping complex. The shop is well laid out with everything easily grouped together for convenience. There are plenty of tills and there are generally quite a few open at once so queues are mostly very short. Staff on the shop floor can be hard to come by but are very helpful when you track one down. Alot of stuff is kept above easy reach of most people so you do sometimes need staff to help you get something down. I have found that they are not necessarily very helpful when it comes to ordering things that are not in stock. They have a limited number of good trolleys and at busy times you can end up carrying your things around.

Dashed Scarborough store to purchase a container of Tomorite ,thought I would use manned check…read moreout,did this as I only had £20 notes on me,paid for item,received change for £10 when I pointed out that I gave £20,was told till would have to be checked by supervisor.20 minutes later was offered apology and a £10 note.the quick purchase was a waste of time.I have used B&Q for years,no problem.but wont be using them again,to be called a liar,kept waiting so long,not my idea of good service.CHECK YOUR CHANGE.although if a cash mistake has occurred earlier in day you might be branded as a liar or thief.
