The fries tastes gross like they were frozen. Even if they were thats fine, but they were not cooked well. It tasted gross. The bruschetta i really liked. Ive been ordering bruschetta this entire trip & it was the first place that actually warmed the bread. It was garlicky & my partner in crime said it was too salty, i liked it, but for 7€ three small pieces mot worth it. We weren't given utensils either, the napkins are cheap paper/ plastic that were melting in the sun. Use your euros wisely.

The restaurant has been operating for more than 60 years and they know what they are doing. Mauro, the restaurant manager/host, was impeccable, as well Giovanna, the sommelier. We shared one entree and ordered also 2 "Zuppa di Pesce", seafood soups. Seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection, seriously tasty. The portions were quite big, in fact I couldn't finish mine. We also got a matching wine from Ischia, which was perfect for our mains. Shame we couldn't have a dessert too... We were too full!! In terms of prices, i can't say it was overpriced because you pay for what you get. And high stardard service plus fantastic food can't be cheap. Grazie ragazzi :)

If you stay in Ischia: you are confined to the area you choose since its so hard to get around. And this place : well our place was right by the water and you can only go to restaurants in this area by foot or by boats to nearby island! This was not in the main area aka 15 mins walk down to the marina but this was quite charming! Food is good almost everywhere in ischia! Meat of course is scarce is way overpriced. But seafood! You get more than you'll ever want! We came here usually as our 3rd or 4th stop of the night since this is on top of the hill, small and often quite full for dinner time! But my favorite part about this place: the people!! Their polpo and seafood are good. Wine is great since you can always ask for vino de casa! But the best part: Carmella!!! :D Singing!! That being said, there was a manager on duty that picked up the slack for her, and even removed a salad that we ordered, but couldn't eat because we had over ordered. It was no fault of the restaurant, so they had no obligation to credit us for that dish. As for the atmosphere, how can you beat a great view of the Gulf of Naples in an outdoor setting? P.S. to Management - I think the "Pirate" theme and costumes leads to a preconceived notion of "Tourist Trap". You may want to consider toning back the La Pirata thing. And while I know Italy had pirates from the 16th century to the 19th century, I associate pirates more with the Caribbean - Just my opinion.
