What an incredible experience. Highly recommended if you on the island. It's up the mountain and on the farm. We had our hotel call to make a reservation because we didn't want to miss an opportunity to come here. Everyone greeted us as we entered. The atmosphere is so comfy and home style feeling. Our group was excited to try all the local cuisine and the home cooking for the family owned trattoria. We basically let Sylvia make the recommendations and went with all of them. We tired about 10 different dishes (anti pasta) before we got to the main event, which was rabbit (coniglio) Everything we had was AMAZING! There wasn't one thing that we did not like. Everything was so tasty! You will see in my pics. The short pasta (which looks like green beans) was SO good! I tried rabbit (my first time) and it was so well seasoned I didn't even realize it was rabbit. It was so flavorful and full of meat. Came in this big crock pot and you have to eat with your hands. It's a tradition and the family recommends eating that way. So we did. After that we managed to try every desert and they did not disappoint either! So good! The Crème brûlée was to die for! The cheesecake...ugh I'm drooling righting this. The one sister also brought us a special after dinner drink too. After that we met the whole the family and got a behinds the scenes tour of the kitchen and wine celular. Met the two brothers and the 2 sisters. They couldn't have been more nice! Treated us like their family! HIGHLY recommend this place for a Great meal!

Neptunussss! Che bello a te!!!…read more Evenings here at Neptunus are oh so romantic. Beautiful little place up on the hill from Sant' angelo! Gotta hike that cobble stone road. Its a terrace restaurant: open air! The sea and that stunning massive rock is the most perfect backdrop one can dream off!! Like other spots here: they are island food focus! The catch of the day often range from a massive rock lobster to stunning octopus! Aka polpo!! Or aragosta??!!! Hmm tough choices!! If you stay in Ischia: you are confined to the area you choose since its so hard to get around. And this place : well our place was right by the water and you can only go to restaurants in this area by foot or by boats to nearby island! This was not in the main area aka 15 mins walk down to the marina but this was quite charming! Food is good almost everywhere in ischia! Meat of course is scarce is way overpriced. But seafood! You get more than you'll ever want! We came here usually as our 3rd or 4th stop of the night since this is on top of the hill, small and often quite full for dinner time! But my favorite part about this place: the people!! Their polpo and seafood are good. Wine is great since you can always ask for vino de casa! But the best part: Carmella!!! :D Singing!! I loveeeeeeeeee singing!! And this place has the best singer on an accordion singing the old school/classic Italian songs. I don't even care. I sing along! And they encourage it too! How cute! The chef, the waiter and the owner all came out with pots and pans for a few songs. It's like going to your relatives house for dinner on sunday night! I mean! Can't beat that now can we. Did I mention how small and secluded San't Angelo is? Its a tiny area and usually quiet after 9 pm! But evenings here are oh so fun! Get a carafe of wine, get some appertif! Talk, sing and dance! Grazie Millie for free shots!! So many of them too!! They rock :) Loveee this!! Oh yea: didn't have the lobster but the seafood dishes are good. Pasta was a ok for me. Down the street at Da Pasquale has wayyyyy better pasta vongole! Sans the entertainment and the views!

Easily one of the best restaurants in the island, well worth a michelin status. Food is great,…read moreservice very friendly and the view is to die for.

While others say it is a tourist trap, pretty much the whole town of Sant'Angelo is based on tourism, so, yeah, everyplace we went was "Touristy". That being said, the food we had was very enjoyable, though not the best we had while traveling in Italy. Unfortunately, we drew the short straw on service in that we got a young girl that was obviously new at her job and hadn't developed service skills, yet. That being said, there was a manager on duty that picked up the slack for her, and even removed a salad that we ordered, but couldn't eat because we had over ordered. It was no fault of the restaurant, so they had no obligation to credit us for that dish. As for the atmosphere, how can you beat a great view of the Gulf of Naples in an outdoor setting? P.S. to Management - I think the "Pirate" theme and costumes leads to a preconceived notion of "Tourist Trap". You may want to consider toning back the La Pirata thing. And while I know Italy had pirates from the 16th century to the 19th century, I associate pirates more with the Caribbean - Just my opinion.

Prices, as other reviewers have remarked, are decidedly higher than the competition. Let's be clear here: what you're buying is the location and the view. So while the food and beverage are so-so in quality, the service is friendly and timely, and if you're willing to shell out the extra Euros, you can have a nice lunch at a scenic location, watching the other tourists pass by and the water taxis coming and going.

Ah, found it! If you…read morepeep the photos, you'll see lots of smiling people enjoying beautiful Italian weather, the island of Ischia, fresh seafood, all the goodness. We visited in November. We were lucky to find them open. They were cooking up delivery pizza, and they welcomed us inside, we were the only guests. The owner was kind, I ordered an amaro, we were told the menu was limited to pizza, that day. Well, we'd heard a thing or two about the Italian's pizza expertise, so we went for it, our first -- and one of the most memorable -- pizza sessions of our stay, on or off the mainland. This is just my take, but seems to me most Italian restaurants get the whole Napolitan recipe right. The secret to marvelous pie is forking into the whole thing as soon as it comes outta the oven, like, as close to burn-your-tongue as possible. And I'm pretty sure the owner was extra attentive to the random American stragglers who wandered into his place in November. He wowed us. Unforgettable.
