A basic budget hotel which is reasonably clean and tidy. There are the usual facilities, kettle, TV and thats about it. When I stayed the room was clean although the bathroom was looking a bit tired. The big drawback with this hotel is the lack of ammenities which are within walking distance. Bedford town centre with its cosmopoliton night life is a good 15-20 min walk at a brisk pace!
I reckon that unless you fancy living out of the vending machine then a car is a necessity. Basically the hotel is on an industrial estate. Parking is ok, but for reasons best known to the hotel they charge a £1. If you are on business and need somewhere to crash this is ok-provided you have ate beforehand or like a bag of cheesy wotsits. If you have the wife with you, probably best to take the car as you will be eating out. If you are lucky enough to have a partner who enjoys budget hotels on industrial estates and has a desire for vending machines this could be for you. There is no bar on site, so buy a few tinnies from Sainsburys down the road. read more
