After a less than satisfactory experience at the Bristol Travelodge (see previous review), the Pembroke Dock branch was a welcome relief.
Check in was straightforward, and our room was warm and comfortable, with a spotlessly clean bathroom. It was also quiet. You don't get luxuries in Travelodge hotels, but the room had all that we needed for our one-night stay.
This Travelodge seems to cater mainly for people travelling on the ferry, so although they don't do a cooked breakfast, you can buy a breakfast bag containing cereal, a hot drink and a smoothie, which is handy if you have an early start. There were some other vending machines in the foyer too.
The receptionist was extremely helpful throughout our stay and gave us some useful local information. There isn't a great deal in Pembroke Dock itself, so we drove into nearby Pembroke where there were a few takeaways and restaurants. One point worth mentioning was that the hotel car park - which is free - was quite full, so if the hotel is at peak capacity you may struggle to find a space.
We paid just over £50 for the night here, which was a bargain for a comfortable room and a quiet night's sleep! read more
