This course is bot for beginners at all.. I had CHIPs as a trainer, I am reading the other reviews and I would have to disagree on the "fun" part. The area we had was tiny, less then 100 by 100 meters. He had us going under 5 mph, holding a 450-650 lbs bike, sharp turning in second gear on the second day. I felt extremely pressured, he is an ex police cycle cop so he is VERY talented but on the flip side, this course was not FUN.. it was anxiety filled. I came here to get a feel of motorcycles and to learn how to ride. This is an intense course to learn how to defensively drive. I assumed he is used to his other classes that are more advanced and forgot it was a beginners course. THIS ISN'T A PRACTICE! ! ! We jumped straight into obstacles. He prepared us for real world riding, which is great if you're more experienced. I would not recommend this class to anyone that is a true beginner, nobody else in my class was a beginner but me. I studied vigorously for the test, I just needed more practice getting the feel of the bike. I weigh under 120 lbs, so if you're small or nervous.. I recommend bringing your own bike.. this is my one regret. The bikes were too big and too heavy for my liking, they only have older heavy cruiser bikes to train you with. I wish I would not have chosen a class over an hour away just to be put through a test immediately. I just wanted to have a good time and learn how to ride while being safe. I got the opposite, everyone told me to go to awesome cycles but I didn't listen. Chip is a great man, he is just very strict. I plan to take a class somewhere else that will allow me to have even 10 minutes of just getting the feel of things before screaming orders at me while riding. I felt as if I was in a drill camp.
