I recently moved out of state and needed my prescription refilled at a nearby location. Instead of just telling me "okay, but make sure you see a Doctor down there asap," she proceeded to treat me like s*** and reluctantly took my information to see if the nurse could help me. The conversation ended with her basically telling me "idk, good luck." I had to call CVS where I live now to find out if my prescription got filled. Luckily they have half a brain to fill me in. They couldn't believe how terribly I was treated at this office. They need some sort of sign off from Dr. Kaup now. They sent a fax to this office and are waiting for an answer. I doubt they'll help, but I foresee a phone call in my future where I get scolded for "wasting their time," or some other BS. I'm pretty upset with the way this situation has been handled, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's unfortunate, because Dr. Kaup was great. I just wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with this bull. Good luck.

My brother has also met with him at previous appointments. So far, we all really like him and are pleased with him and his entire staff. He is very patient, knowledgeable, and informative. He never rushes my mom, who can be a little talkative and sometimes has lots of issues per visit. They also do their best to fit my parents in when they have urgent or last minute needs. For example, my mom fell for the first time ever yesterday morning and they were able to get her in today. (Yesterday, she had a previously scheduled MRI that her neurologist ordered, which she couldn't miss.) Anyway, Dr. Ruiz-Montero and the whole staff are amazing and we highly recommend them!

Both head practices are…read moreterrible, doctors will argue you, schedule you late and be upset you came in, they will hold your heart medicine hostage by not telling you to make an appointment to force you to come in, they are just terrible, had a doctor schedule me for 4:30, be mad that I came in and also get upset when I asked questions, told them I had trouble sleeping, only able to get about 3 hours per night and then go work a 12 hour shift, was told I need to stop screen time, when I said my whole job is screen time from the start of my day to the end of my shift, I was then told I need to read a book, just terrible, lazy practitioners.

When calling Winfield Family Medicine, you are asked to call another number, which I did. A person answered and asked me what facility this was for and then transferred me to a voice mail. I paid my statement in full 6 months ago and I keep getting statements that it is overdue. I sent a copy of a cancelled check to the statement address and I'm still getting overdue statements. There is added frustration that I don't need!

The Results: After a car accident, I decided to give him a try. I was in pain, had limited motion in my neck, and had frequent headaches. After just ONE treatment, I had less pain, drastically more movement, and significantly less headaches. He had me completely back to normal in two to three visits. I really like that about him. I carry my Dexcom reader with me to all of my doctor's appointments and they are AMAZED at the job she has done in the short time that I've seen her. I've been able to get rid of some meds while cutting down on the dosage of others and my blood sugar is STILL better than it was before I started coming here. I can't thank Krista enough for what she has done for me. The office staff is really nice, also.
