This is a review of Port a Pier after years of trying to work with them each year for dock…read moreinstallation and Fall removal. They seem to have a difficult time returning phone calls and emails. This year, I was forced to drive to their Brussels location as I could not get a call back regarding my dock installation. They also seem to be good in the realm of excuse making for not returning calls and not showing for a scheduled install. Now, in Door County, there are 2 other companies that have the same equipment as Port a Pier and actually return phone calls and show up when then have a scheduled appointment. The company I used this year is run by a former Port a Pier supervisor. The workers were all former employees as well. They were extremely professional and each worker introduced himself. They also made a change in the placing of the dock so that it was safer for me to get to the dock. Please, do your homework on Port a Pier before employing them!!!

This is the most poorly organized business I have ever worked with. One of their main lines of…read morework is putting in the docks they have sold to customers. The summer in Wisconsin is about 3 months long. It is now mid-July and they have yet to get the docks for much of Door County into the water, even though ice was out in April. The worst part is that they have given us misinformation (that is, they have lied to us) about when the dock will be in the water since Memorial Day. Every time we called, we were informed that it would be about another week before the dock went in. They were just leading us on. Now they're telling us it won't be in until August. To make matters worse, it appears that they are going to try to charge their customers the full cost even though they are providing the worst customer service you could hope to receive. This is like a terrible joke. I would recommend that you avoid working with this company at all costs.
