After spending the afternoon snow tubing and enjoying the winter activities. We decided to check out Trax for a quick lunch. The shuttle the lodge offers took us right there. BEST DECISION. The pub was busy, hopping, and had the right energy for my group. We walked in and were seated quickly. Our server Andrew was AWESOME. He was friendly, attentive, offered suggestions and checked in with us throughout the meal. For food- highly recommend the poutine, fried cheese curds and burgers! Everything was delicious and they have a full bar No dessert was available at the time due to the season but due to how lovely everything else was, we left satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant at Greek Peak. We came in after skiing all day. The hot honey wings and meat lovers pizza were delicious. The wings were huge and perfectly crisp yet tender. The pizza crust was soft without being chewy/doughy. They also have a bunch of brews, crafts, and cocktails. My Irish coffee warmed me right up. This place had the best fried-chicken wrap I have ever tasted. My wrap came with sweet-potato fries with a brown sugar coating and they were perfection. As an appetizer, I got loaded fries and I have never had such good cheese sauce. The service was amazing, with my server being so nice, and though she took some time since it was busy, she was really nice. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the ambiance was nice. Wasn't my favorite for a few reasons. I'll start with the positive first, the margarita was super tasty. They do have gluten free buns which is nice, however... the bun is a $2 up charge (not listed on the menu). I asked what sides were gf as the fries were breaded and the waitress said sweet potato fries (my least favorite thing). I asked if there was anything else and she said a side salad. Salad was small and to my surprise a $4 up charge. The burger was essentially meat and jam no lettuce, tomato, etc. Overall, disappointed with the food and that a drink and the meal picture was over $50 after tip. We were staying at the resort across the street and this place was awesome. When we were there they had a wedding, a family reunion, a huge moto cross event and a baseball tournament (that's why we were there). So this place is pretty unique. They have a huge deck with fire pits and they had a band while we were there. They have enormous dining room and the bar was HUGE. So on to the food. It was really decent. When we were there it was absolutely BUMBING so I'll give them a bit of a curve. Our food came out on time and it was really good and the portion was fair. Cute spot to wait while my BF was mountain biking. Came here for a table of one and they let me sit wherever I wanted. I decided to sit outside with a good view of the mountain. The staff checked on me often and were super friendly. The mimosa was huge for the price which I appreciated. Food was okay, only reason I took off a star. As part of our annual tradition, first time on the mountain for the season, we treat ourselves to lunch at Greek Peak's Restaurant, Trax! We toast our first runs and order any new items from their menu! My husband ordered the steak and blue salad and I had the black bean burger with a side of truffle fries! Everything was delicious and the service was awesome! Each year that we do our toast, the food and service get better and better! If you go there, make sure you see if you can get a seat by the window to watch your fellow skiers! You can also take your drinks outside on the deck and sit by fire pits. Our first experience with Trax was ordering takeout on a Thursday night. We had to order online which was fine. But we made an error with our order after submitting and when we tried to call, no one picked up the phone. So we had to place another order for the correct item. My husband and I both ordered the Asian noodle bowl and it was pretty bad. Basically noodles drenched in flavorless watery sauce. They need to reevaluate this recipe. Their regular pizza was edible and so was the Buffalo chicken pizza. We also stopped in for drinks after skiing one day and the service and drinks were great. After waiting 30 minutes we were hastily seated in a corner. Some time went by and a rude waitress came over and demanded our order. We had been skiing and were parched, did she bring water with her? No that would have been too standard. We mentioned ordering some drinks and she said "if you're going to order drinks you can get up and go to the bar". I requested water before she stormed off. The restaurant itself is nice with the big fireplace, but the building it is within is like a dingy old run down smelly high school locker room. It was not the most welcoming atmosphere. The waiter we had was very kind. I felt bad for him as they seemed extremely short staffed, but he did his best none the less. Although I was a little concerned that the menu didn't say prices for the drinks and the waiter couldn't tell me either. He offered to go to the bar to check. The food was so-so, but overpriced. They advertise for the community to come and have a meal here, but it really isn't worth the trip to Virgil. We went to Trax on December 21st. The person seating us was extremely rude when we requested the empty booth right next to her. My daughter explained that I have extreme anxiety and cannot be in large crowds. She wouldn't budge and took us to the middle of the room packed with people. When my daughter asked to speak to the manager she finally gave in and led us back to the booth. She kept glaring at me the entire time. Went for Sunday brunch with a group of 10 people! We were able to get sat right away and they even accommodated for us to be able to sit outside. Service was incredible and very attentive for how busy she was. Food came out in a timely manner. Taste of food was mediocre. Nothing incredible, but everything was filling. Avoid wings night if you want the wings. Taste was very good, but wings broken and chopped up oddly. Bone chips in my mouth from the one that I tried. And also reported by my two buddies who are about 10 of them. Beers can be great but are hit or miss in terms of taste, and pricing is weirdly out of sync with alcohol content. Felt unwelcome. Took over an hour to be brought water, then another half an hour to take our order. Food was cold. Took over an hour to cash out after asking for the check. Witnessed other tables getting up and leaving due to lack of attendance from the staff. I understand being short staffed but this could have communicated better, or they could have simply apologized. They never said thank you, have a good night, or I'm sorry that took so long. The only thing they seem to serve well is dirty looks and bad attitudes. Also don't drink shots on the job if you can't handle your tables. This has truly set the standard for the worst service I've ever received. So at least there's that. -5 stars. Despite everything I still left a 40% tip because I'm not a monster. read more

I was here for a wedding this past weekend and I'm just shocked. Everyone is still talking about how unprofessional and poorly executed this wedding was. The wedding was held in the conference center and cocktail hour was to be held at the Trax restaurant down the hall. First, that is such an awkward location to have happy hour in the first place since most of the seating is dining booths (really awkward when everyone is in formal wear and lining up for bites). Then for the 250-300 at the wedding we had one cheese platter and one veggie platter, about the size you would pick up at your local grocery store for a dinner party. The cheese platter had you basic cheddar, and American. One guest joked that they couldn't even be creative enough to add pepper jack. There was one 2-gallon beverage dispenser with ice tea (which had absolutely no flavor and no one was drinking from) and one with lemonade. 2 servers came out 2 or three times with stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops. When you do the math there definitely wasn't even 1 appetizer per person. But that's not all. Apparently this area wasn't closed off for the party. The bartender was busy pouring drinks for random people that would walk into the middle of the restaurant are and order at the bar. A group of teenager ordered food and just sat down at one of the tables and ate their meals with no one saying anything. Random people were just coming and going the whole hour. The bathrooms were disgusting. No one came in to check on them during the entire ceremony. The trash cans were completely overflowing and spilling out. The toilets were disgusting and the back were completely *drenched* with what I Hope was just condensation. The main course was basically in the same vain. Plates weren't cleared away fast enough and things would pile up. They kept playing with the flickering light etc etc. there's a lot I could write about but anyway. The couple was so lovely and everyone did such a hood job trying to plan this wedding I really hope they get some kind of refund. read more

Great view but the food is sub par. Stopped by for brunch and the only thing good I can say is the eggs were fluffy. The biscuits and gravy were more like biscuits with cold chicken soup poured in the bowl and maple syrup. The breakfast bowls were like a garbage plate from and all night diner. My friends and I stayed across from this restaurant so we stopped in to grab some dinner. I really wanted to like this place. They have a large, beautiful outdoor deck with plenty of seating, fun games, and a great view! We chose to sit outdoors and we played some pong while we waited for our food. One of my friends ordered the gyro with fries which she really enjoyed. My other two friends and I ordered the meat lovers pizza, an order of boneless garlic parmesan wings, and the pickle fries to share. The pickle fries came out first and they were extremely salty and lacked flavor. They were cut like French fries which is fun and different. They were not served with a dipping sauce like most fried pickles so we asked for a side of ranch which helped a little. The pizza was quite bland and the dough was just blah. It was very small for $13.99- about the size of a dinner plate and cut into 4 slices. The boneless wings weren't bad- the garlic parmesan sauce was actually pretty good and I put some of it on my pizza to give it some flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive. I was surprised to read all of the bad reviews. We decided to eat in the restaurant because the options at the cafeteria style section were horrible. Usually at ski resorts it will cost you and arm and leg to eat in the restaurant and the beer is way overpriced. This was not the case here. We ordered some kind of chicken wrap and a chicken quesadilla. Both were really good. I think they were about 10.00 each and the wrap came with fries. Everything was very fast and the waitress was always to be found. Beers were 4.00 each instead of the usual resort price of 9.00. We ate for less than most cafeterias would cost at a resort.
