Truthfully, I feel taken advantage of by that company, like they just wanted to make a sale, neglecting to properly inspect and diagnose my prior unit. The issues I was having previously have returned. I'm very frustrated and don't want to deal with them again. I should have known better when the responding tech took less than 5 minutes to mutter, "This heater is bad. This is not a good brand," despite my previous heater being only 4 years old. I contacted Coleman's A/C Heating & Appliance Repair seeking a professional who would listen carefully to the issues I'm describing and offer sound advice/solutions on how to proceed. I expected to hear back from Coleman's within a day or two. But my inquiry was responded to quickly. The technician was friendly, listened, and we discussed what could be done to get my hot water going again. It was suggested I contact the company that performed the install since I'm still under warranty. But it was such a negative experience with an inattentive, apathetic tech that I'd rather cut my losses and allow Coleman's to care for my unit. I will follow Coleman's advice. But at the first sign of indifference or rudeness by that other company, I'll call Coleman's out to fix my heater.

Their estimate was below other businesses in the area and I felt that they, being a family owned business, were more invested in providing exemplary service. Which proved correct. They supplied some extras and explained operation and maintenance as well as the warranty. I highly recommend this business for anyone seeking trustworthy, reasonable, and professional service.

Just used these guys for first time…read more Start by saying, Highway Robbery.... Service was fine but the fee - is a joke... Really high standard service charge. Parts cost mark-up 500% Plus hourly, which they added an extra half hour, I assume for tip. All for very minor maintenance that had already been partially completed by another HVAC company. ie. no investigation needed, no disassembly of HVAC, etc Everything laid out and all they had to do was connect 3 wires and re-assemble... So angry.... I do the service tech a huge favor and they rip me off.... Never using these guys again....

He appeared to do a cursory review, was on his phone laughing and chatting the while he was there (per my tenant) however his inspection did not find the source of the leak. I was told "the area is dry, nothing leaking here, and the drain pan is dry." The leak slowly continued as my tenant's AC was being used, which caused further damage to my ceiling. (see pic) The service call was not cheap, nor was the problem resolved. A subsequent company found the issue to be a blocked condensation line and they unclogged it. I really wanted a better outcome, but unfortunately, it's now costing me even more as the damage is worse.

Although quick to respond to after-hours phone call, it took the guy (Scotty) far too long to find…read moremy plumbing problem. He did finally locate and remove obstruction after fiddling with things for several hours. He specifically said on the phone that I would not be charged anything extra for after-hours, and the fee would be $100 per hour. So I hired him based on trusting his statement. However, when he arrived, driving a You Haul rental truck instead of a company vehicle, he did a "bait-and-switch" on me and said the boss lady said no, he had to charge $125 per hour instead of their "usual" $100 per hour, billed in 30-min. increments. But they were giving me a break by only adding $25 an hour more. I called at 8:30 p.m., and two hours later, he arrived. I specifically said, "It's 10:30 p.m. now. How long do you think this will take?" He said, "Should be way less than an hour, but we have a minimum one-hour charge." Believing the cost would be no more than a total of $125, I agreed to let him try to find the issue. Additionally, I was never told that the time started when he left the shop, and that would be $62.50 for him driving an estimated 30 mins., from Pearl to Madison. When I got the invoice, however, on top of already charging me $62.50 for the trip, he then tacked on another $20 + sales tax as a "gas and mileage charge." I considered that to be double-dipping and gouging me for more money. When I questioned the padded bill, he said that he "helped me out" by stopping the clock a little early or it would have been even more than $422.65 to find and remove a chewed-up washcloth and chewed-up remnants of a garment, both assumed to have gotten into the washing machine drain somehow. Truth is, he spent a lot of time talking, scratching his head of what to do, searching for a clean-out plug instead of quickly finding the issue as he said he could do (on the phone and again when he arrived, reassuring me that it would likely take far less than one hour). Even though he did find and remove the obstruction, for which I was grateful, I say that "we helped HIM out" by having the toilet already removed for much quicker access and also taking care of reinstalling the toilet ourselves after he left. Us doing that saved him a lot of work and time. No, I DO NOT recommend this company based on what I believe were false and misleading representations and price gouging me as a customer!
