I wasn't pushed to just buy the most expensive gun that they had or to buy the cheap shitty ones that they didn't want. Ive…read morealways had wonderful experiences with them until they put Jay in charge an now he makes it a hassle for anything. I was the victim of an armed home invasion on Monday in which all of my home defense and wallet were stolen except for my 9mm handgun which was currently in pawn at this establishment. Since my wallet was stolen i didn't have my ID for redemption so instead i took my police report, social security card, and birth certificate in with me to pick up my hand gun. I too used to work for a local pawn shop so I do KNOW they have my ID scanned in the system ready to pull up and verify every time i walk in the door (they all recognize me anyways, as they should) and had they wanted to be just a little empathetic and helpful they damn sure could've been without any problems on their end, they simply chose to be unaccommodating to their long time very loyal customer! This is simply unacceptable from a business who depends on their customers for their survival, im appalled and frankly pissed off they would deny me my only form of home defense in a time such as this after being held at gunpoint and robbed in my own home! Shame Update: I'm re sharing because obviously Pawn City doesnt want ppl to know how they treat their customers, especially ones who just went through such an ordeal. After visiting again to pay on my gun to ensure I wouldnt lose it before i could back with a new ID Jay decided to smart off to me that he was following federal law to which I responded to which I have any and all documents to prove my identity and a police report to accompany his systems scan of my current ID and it was a choice by him to not allow me possession of my only firearm left to defend my home to which he replied it was "this stores policy" since I had also worked in the same setting. Therefore; had he wanted to be reasonable and help his customer he could have!

I met the owner Rich Brown and instantly got the vibe of the store. Rich owns the shop but also makes amazing pottery, which he has in the shop and which I bought instantly. He's also got an eclectic mix of other goodies. All local sourced. Another bonus......the shop is bookmarked by a local coffeehouse and a pub!! Both are also cool. Make the pilgrimage, this place rocks!!
