The river is an estuary with the most diverse aquatic wildlife in the country. Maddy has a masters degree in marine biology and leads wonderful tours of the area, where you can see dolphins, manatees and birds as well as plant life. If you have never kayaked before this is a good place to start. You'll receive excellent instruction on technique and safety. Equipment is in excellent shape. His easy going manner yet attention to details such as asking "Do you need some sunscreen?" and "We have the latest kayak launch system in the industry" illustrate the care he demonstrated to my husband and me. His business started with paddle boards and although I've been paddle boarding for a few years I can't wait to take a lesson from him using my own equipment!
