First, they complained that my kids were outside and should be with an adult at ALL times. Who does that?!? My kids are 13, 8, 7, and 1. The older siblings are outside by themselves at home all the time. We've paid to stay here like ANYONE else! Yet my kids can't play outside!? Next, my dog was on the leash in front of the RV. NOT BARKING, Not bothering anyone. Owner knocks on the door to show me the rules that this can't be. This is the last night we are staying here and NOW it's a problem. There's cats roaming around, even the owners dog has been off the leash! They are being petty because we are a black family. What FILTH !!!

At one point in our trip, I accidentally locked us out of the room. She came to the rescue and reassured me it was no problem and it happens all the time! This is definitely an older building. My husband made a joke about the bedroom tv being a nursing home tv since it fit inside an armoire. I think they have made some renovations, but you can still see some vintage vibes. The only bad thing we noticed when we were there was that the dishwasher was falling out of the nook/wall. It was our last morning and I was going to load the dishwasher. Upon grabbing the dishwasher handle to open it, the dishwasher basically fell out of the nook. My husband had to help me push it back in and I ended up hand washing the dishes. We really enjoyed our vacation here and we still talk about our wonderful trip!

Noticed some rowdy dogs nearby and park ranger took care of it in a jiff. Looked like lots of regulars know the good cove swim holes, plenty of places to pull up a boat, kayak, or jet ski. Laundry, store, and restaurant I'm site, marina minutes down the road. Only negatives are some sites with no water hookups, so come with a full tank. No sewage in spaces, just a dump site. Road in is a bit rough--lots of almost switchback turns, several low lying areas that easily flood with rain. One extremely narrow bridge I wouldn't cross with a large camper rig (use alternate road).

It also included a full day of mining and zip lining. You can separate all these options if you choose to save some cash but we thought that was a good deal. We struggled to decide which mine to go to and have zero regrets. We are super excited to get home and clean up our great selection of gems. Everything was great, well explained and the staff were super friendly, helpful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Props to Andrew , Preston, Adrianna, Jeremiah and Kam! The deck was brand new, and furniture was clean and included an umbrella. Check in was easy and done though a keypad lock system. No issues! Loved that there were curtains over all windows for extra privacy. New vinyl hardwood floors throughout the unit and fresh paint. Comfortable sitting area with throw blankets. Inside the unit, there was ample towels provided, as well as beach towels which was a nice touch! It is stocked with kitchen pots, pans, knives, ice tray, plates and cups. There is a microwave and stove as well. Air conditioning worked wonderfully which is essential for those hot summers. You can swim and fish on the property and they have a dock. The only things to note was we wished there were some lounge chairs outside and that the shower was a little bigger. If you are broad shouldered it is very challenging to fit comfortably in the shower. Additionally, there is only one mirror in the bathroom, another mirror elsewhere would've been helpful so one can get ready while another showers. We would definitely come back! It is only 10-12 minutes from downtown.
