Some harsh weather over the past couple of years also caused numerous trees to break, fall, or weaken. Jonny is an excellent communicator, and laid out a multi-phase process to restore the forest so that we can start to develop the next generation of trees and maintain a mature forest. Vines were cleared first, followed by felling dead/dying trees, then final clearing so that material taken down can decompose naturally in the forest. He always checked in as he and his team progressed on the job, making sure they were hitting the targets we wanted without getting too far (to a point of no return). They were courteous, kind, and thoughtful about their approach. They also were able to complete the job within a few weeks, allowing us a chance to get a head start on planting already this season. We also benefited from their services to shape a couple of trees in our front yard that were due for a trimming. We will most definitely go back to them for any tree needs.

From the time we moved in, we've been able to rely on Seth Bihun and the team at Total Tree Care for so many tree issues--a couple have been struck by lightning, some needed pruning when they grew over the patio, the derecho hit two years ago and one split down the middle, and just this week we had two enormous white pines removed after they dropped HUGE branches in a wind storm. This has happened a couple of times. Hated to see them go, but it was time. For small jobs like trimming or putting in a cable to large jobs like the the removal of two forty-foot tall pines this week, it's so reassuring to know we're dealing with a certified arborist and a team of professionals who are experts at what they are doing and who take pride in helping local homeowners take care of their trees. Two tremenous cranes and several trucks pulled up at 8 AM, and by about 11 AM. the trees were gone and the yard was as clean as a whistle. Every branch was removed from the trees first, and then the enormous trunks were dismantled in sections from the top down. The cranes lifted the sections straight into the wood chipper, so there was no mess at all. First,an estimator comes to your house, photographs the tree(s) to be trimmed or removed, and you receive a bid online for the job so there are no surprises. You know when they will come (the communication is always prompt and polite), you know what you will pay, and you can be confident your job will be done well by experts. If you're a homeowner who has trees, you WILL need to know a reliable, responsible company who can help you when you need it. For us over the past three and a half decades, that company has been Total Tree Care. Our neighbors have had great tree service over many years, too. Seth and his team are the best--you won't be disappointed and you can count on a job done well and done safely--and that's what matters!

Based on other reviews and recommendations I reached out to her via the Country Arborists website for a free quote and diagnosis. Finding a certified arborist was important to us. Finding a responsive company was just as important. We reached out to numerous companies, only to be ignored. Not Ashley at Country Arborists. From the time she gave us a quote it was about a month before her crew of 4 came to remove our Cherry and Hackberry trees. It took the crew nearly all day. The Hackberry was enormous. My spouse and I can't say enough good things about their professionalism, speed and attention to detail. They have all of their own equipment at the ready and were completely prepared to handle our job. The lawn looked great when they were done and I think they even got some more business from a few onlookers walking by. They even stopped to give our neighbor some wood from one of the trees. They sent some, not the new guy, not the guy who had been there awhile but the actual OWNER of the company came by. Quoted me, I agreed and after telling me they weren't busy I waited over a month for them to schedule me. When the crew arrived they said they would require extra equipment and the price would need to be DOUBLED! I called and talked to Frank and he said he would look into it, not honor the quote that HE gave me but just check on it.
