We've been staring at a dead tree in our backyard for months now saying we should do something about it. We'd hired another company a few months back and had been meaning to call them for a quote when Luis from TreeJob appeared at our door. He was very respectful and non-pushy, quietly explained that he was in the area and noticed that we had a dead tree in the backyard and asked if I'd like a quote to remove it. He is also a certified arborist and while looking at the one in question also evaluated the others. He very quickly followed up the visit with both a quote via text message as well as a kind message thanking me for my time and opportunity to earn my business. Our regular tree guy came as well a few days later and quoted us more than double what TreeJob had. So we decided to hire TreeJob and so happy that we did. Approved the quote on a Saturday, Luis came out on Monday to mark the area, and a crew of about six guys came on Tuesday in exactly the window they'd promised. We paid $250 for stump grinding and at no additional cost they cut up a bunch of the branches for firewood and stacked it neatly along the fence. They put down rubber mats in the front yard to not kill the grass with the bobcat and were overall just very aware and respectful of the property. Because the team was so big, the work was completely very quickly and efficiently, in just about two hours. The cleanup job was impeccably done. You never would have known they were here! TreeJob exploits people when they are most vulnerable. After Hurricane Helene, they were price gouging customers in the Augusta area. They charged us $20, 000 to remove one tree. We had to proceed with them, as they were the only company who had responded to our requests and the tree was in a precarious position on our house, so it was a matter of safety. The work they completed was professional and they were done quickly, however, the way they seek out customers during their most vulnerable moments and hike up their prices to astronomical levels is disgusting and illegal. It's been a month since I paid them to grind all the stumps in my front yard. They showed up when I wasn't there, and it would have been nice it we were able to coordinate a time when the work could be done. Needless to say, they were paid in full for an incomplete job. Only 4 of the 5 stumps were ground and a large ugly one is left in my front yard. I've been trying to get someone out to finish the job for a month now. We had a massive 100'+ tree hit both our house and our neighbors' around the fourth of July. Justin responded VERY quickly, and was out to assess the job, and gave us a very fair quote on the spot. The crew showed up the next day ON TIME and worked straight through to get everything off the property as fast as possible so we could get our insurance guy in. Our property is VERY difficult to get any machinery into, but they managed to sort it out and come up with a solution. All that, and the way the invoice was prepared was touted by our insurance agent as being "...just the way he likes them set up." Do note that when you have a tree removed, it is heavy work, and will require some amount of machinery on your property depending on the size of the job. Some turf will probably take a divot here-or-there and some concrete may take a few surface scratches. How does a tree service company get 5 stars?....by exceeding expectations! My neighbor was called on by a young man who was driving by and saw that he had two dead trees in his yard. I had one too, and when they had concluded an agreement Justin knocked on my door and offered services. He was polite, friendly, and professional...answered all my questions, and wrote an agreement to take down the dead tree and cut it up, and to cut up another tree that had fallen some time ago. Justin said a crew would come by when it could be scheduled, but certainly within the next two weeks. They arrived the next day!....handled my neighbor's two dead trees....patiently, expertly, and doing exactly what he had requested. Then they came to my house and did the same. They felled the tree without causing damage to surrounding growth, they cut it up into manageable pieces, and then cut up the other tree. They did it all very professionally. My job was very small compared to by neighbor's.....but they exceeded my expectations, and did the job for comparatively less than I've paid other tree services for similar work. We were very happy with the service we received from TreeJob. Our house is on a very steep hill with limited access to our backyard. We had a large pine tree near our house that had been eaten by bugs and needed to come down. There was also a very large oak that was completely overhanging our house and we wanted to get rid of it because of fear of falling branches and the maintenance from cleaning leaves and sticks off of our roof. I had multiple quotes on the two trees, and a couple people told me they couldn't be removed without a crane. Or they would give me an outrageous price to just get them on the ground and leave them. It was very frustrating knowing that I didn't have a choice on the pine tree, and nobody could come up with a good solution. These are very large trees, so my entire back yard would have been full of logs if the weren't able to haul them away. Then Ryan Rutledge from TreeJobs came knocking at my door. His first impression was the same. He said the only way they would be able to get them out without a crane would be to go through my neighbors yard, but she had a large pine tree blocking the path. He also gave me a quote to get them on the ground. A couple of days later he called and told me he had a solution. Ryan talked to my neighbor, and it turns out she was wanting to get rid of that pine tree anyway. So he gave her a really good deal on it, if she would allow them to also take my trees out through her driveway. I decided to take down those two trees along with 3 others and was quoted less than what most people were giving me to get the two on the ground. The team that showed up to do the work was very professional. I was amazed at how quickly and skillfully they worked. All of the work was competed in a single day, and other than saw dust there was no debris left in my yard. The work crew told me they may damage the edges of my driveway. I said that's not alright. The GC on the job (another company) had to intervene to tell them to lay down plywood (exactly what I told them too). Later one of the crew told me the homeowner usually nods and they take that as a damage waiver. When they finished the job they left so much mud in my 40 deg. sloped driveway that a visitor about 20 minutes after they'd gone, pulled down my driveway and slid into a carport support pole. The driver found it impossible to get back up the driveway and even walking the on driveway was treacherous. I eventually had to ask a neighbor to use his truck with a long rope to pull my friend's car back up the driveway to the street (which was also covered in mud). I called the same GC and he had his crew powerwash my driveway within an hour. They'd never seen anyone leave such a mess! Can they cut and haul trees? Yes. Will you wish you'd hired another company? March 2018- I had called a few tree companies that I had used in the past and they never showed up until it was to late. I kept having to call them and each time I did, they had an excuse of why they did not show up. I called Tree Jobs on a Sunday night to leave a VM, but they answered. they next day they had some one schedule to look at my lot and with in 24 hours a quote was provided. it was a slightly higher then what I wanted to pay, but they came a few days later, took down a 50 foot pine, a few other large trees and cut down pre existing stumps and cleaned up the yard of fallen branches. Having been approached at our door (technically against our development's no-solicitation policy) by a salesman, I bit, as we needed a big limb removed from one of our trees. We negotiated and agreed on a fee and within hours, their manager was back to inspect the grounds and approved the job. So I signed an official estimate. At this point, they put up a lawn sign - and that was the last I ever saw of them. After three weeks, I called their office to get an update. At which point, I was told that since they "put the job up on (their) bulletin board and nobody took it," they were writing it off - cancelling it and not honoring the job. With some discussion, I not only got an apology (which doesn't get my tree limb cut down), but found out that THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CUT DOWN TREES. In fact, all they are, is a sales/marketing company, who hires subcontractors to do their bidding. They get the jobs, take the lion's share of the profit, and give a percentage to the contractor. I told the company representative that I wouldn't sue them to do the job (well within my rights, being in possession of a signed, dated estimate) and that their business model is obviously flawed. Just realize that if you hire these people, you could be hiring an experienced, professional, licensed & certified tree company directly, instead, and cutting out these middle-men/salespeople - who don't even honor their provided estimates, if no subcontractors in their stable decide to take the job. "No job too small," is NOT a phrase with which these people are familiar. But if you'd like one of their lawn signs in your yard for weeks at a time, advertising for their sales team for free, please give them a call. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. This is a long story but I feel including all of these details will provide a well-rounded picture of my experience working with treejob.com in April 2020. I came into contact with them when doing research on Atlanta, GA tree removal companies as there was a huge oak tree in my yard that had almost split entirely in half and needed emergency removal due to the high risk it would fall on my home. The tree is in a complicated spot and would not be an easy removal, so we wanted to get quotes from multiple companies to see what our options were. We contacted Boutte Tree, Inc., AKA Tree Services, Ballard Tree Services, and Atlanta Tree Removal Experts. When I got in contact with Atlanta Tree Removal Experts, they told me they would be sending someone out to assess the tree and see what action needed to be taken. However, the person who showed up was driving a truck that said treejob.com on it. The first thing they did when they showed up was stuck a sign in my yard to advertise themselves. The person who came to see me was named Ryan. Then, he told me they would be able to remove the tree that same day and Ryan called his crew to come get the tree removed. He told me that they would likely have to remove the fence and gate to our backyard to reach the tree which seemed a little bit ridiculous to me, and he said that I could pay them $75 to repair the fence. However, he said that he would do as good of a job repairing the fence as a fence company would do removing a tree, meaning he had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what he was even doing. We spent at least an hour talking about stuff that was completely irrelevant and Ryan was clearly trying to sell me the entire time I was talking to him. Then, when the team showed up to finally remove the tree, they refused to get into the tree as they claimed its structure was far too compromised and that it could fall at literally any moment. They made me stick my ear up to the tree to listen to "sounds of it creaking and cracking further" and said that they only option at this point was for the tree to fall on our house and for us to work with our insurance companies to get the home repaired. Ryan told me that I had to evacuate my house immediately as it was unsafe to be in and that I would have to find another place to stay. Ryan even went across the street to my neighbor to exchange contact information and basically asked my neighbor to watch the tree and call him when it fell on my house. YOU LEGIT CANNOT MAKE THIS UP, THAT IS THE "PROFESSIONAL" RECOMMENDATION I RECEIVED FROM THIS COMPANY. I do want to mention that despite how absurd and unprofessional this recommendation was and how they legitimately left us to just have our house destroyed and told us that there was no option, Ryan was very polite. However in retrospect, I am seeing now that he is completely unexperienced and had no idea what he was talking about. He was just using his communication skills to try to sell me and get me to use their company to remove the tree, when they didn't even know how to solve my problem. All of the workers on the team appeared to be very young (maybe early to mid 20s) so I suspect they are not industry experts and have clearly not done a lot of complex jobs. All of this being said, as soon as Ryan left, I called Craig Ballard from Ballards Tree Service and told him what Ryan at treejobs.com told me was the only possible solution (leaving the tree to destroy my home) and he immediately came to the rescue. Within less than 30 minutes of me calling Craig, his team was already there removing the tree safely and was able to remove it successfully without damaging my home, or driveway. The fence didn't need to be removed either. The weirdest part was that when I called Ryan to tell him I had another company who came and was fixing the tree, we later saw a treejobs.com truck parked down the street - THEY WERE WATCHING THE OTHER COMPANY DO THE JOB THEY CLAIMED WAS IMPOSSIBLE. Again, can't make this stuff up. All of this being said, stay away from treejobs.com. I would give this company zero stars if I could. read more

Let me start off by saying I've never done business with these guys, but also never would. I received a phone call earlier today from my wife who is at home with our 3 children. She stated on numerous occasions this week one of their employees Philip Hales would come by and ask to see if we needed work done. The first was Monday, she politely told him we were not interested and left it as that. Tuesday she arrived home with a business flyer on our door. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday he returned talking about the same issues he seen as if telling him the first time wasn't enough. To me this is very shady business practice and at the very least borderline harassment. When I called Philip today on the issue he states he would take us off of the list, never knew there was one but ok. We too, unfortunately hired them to take out one tree in our front yard, and then trim another tree. I came home to find out the the tree the were supposed to take out a few dead limbs off of, they had taken off every single limb all the way up to the top, and left a little mushroom cloud up a the top. This was my prize white pine...my favorite tree. And, they had while doing this, topped my 15 foot fringe tree, which they denied doing. After crying for two days, we decided to take out the pine, which I said I was NOT going to pay for...and telling them I would sue them, they agreed to take it out. Which they did...but they dropped it on our water main and broke it. This cost me $400, and and $275 water bill. I still have not recouped this money. Do NOT ever hire this company. read more
