I have never felt the need to leave a yelp review ever in my life until now. I am a Air Force Veteran Woman, a mother, a wife, and a person who has never stolen a day in my life. I feel I deserve to be treated like any other shopper. So, I come into this store (Treehouse On Main) and was greeted nicely by the blonde lady. She asked me what I was looking for, I stated clothing and she says upstairs. All was good until 1 minute after I'm looking for Christmas items the other lady with brown hair that was in the store working rushes up the stairs and stares at me for about two minutes before asking if she could help me. I answered, I am looking for Christmas items for my family members. After that she just hovered right behind me making comments about every item I was looking at, I couldn't even make my own decision without her commenting and interrupting my thoughts of what I would like to buy. The bad character didn't stop there, when I asked if they had a basket or bag to shop with she said oh I will hold them after that every item I picked up she would take and say oh I will hold that. I was treated like a thief. Even after going back down stairs they would ask me to put my items on the counter. As I'm checking out and I tell the blonde lady I would like to grab these cups for teachers, I turn back around she (the blonde) ignores me and starts checking out the customers that were still looking at jewelry items. I was treated as If I were a lesser of a person than they were. After they were done with checking out the brown hair lady comes back around asking if I was helped. I stated the other lady (blonde) was checking my items out until she decided to help the other customers. The brown hair lady doesn't say anything just starts checking my items. In all that time I was there, they had two regular customers who they knew by name that were wearing bright Christmas outfits with neon pink tutus, both of the shopper ladies went upstairs and were left to be able to do there shopping in peace not harassed once. Don't be judgmental I spent over $140.00 on very few items while the customers you ignored me for spent $20.00. Why? Was it because I am not a makeup wearing girly dressed young woman. I like my comfortable warm clothing natural looking self. I'm clean and nicely dressed not a grungy person and even if I was, you both were so disrespectful! You were rude to a person who is bringing you business that was completely honest and polite. I could have spent more of my money but was rushed out your door so thank you for making my business not welcomed and loosing your business more money. I will be shopping at the very welcoming businesses surrounding you from now on. Have a Happy Holidays! read more

The Treehouse is a neat hometown business. They have unique seasonal decor. Upstairs they have clothing and shoes for juniors and women. My daughter, now in college, loves to come back to shop there to find a perfect outfit or dress for looking her best. A nice addition to any shopping day in downtown Clayton. read more
