They have a team of great stylists and an easy online booking system. They do have a big customer base where sometimes you have to reserve a few weeks in advance for the stylist you want. There are different prices in regards to which stylist you want (based on their experience). I've gone to Salon de Elephant numerous times and have gotten cuts from Kei, Michael and recently Maria. Each time I've gone all stylists have been professional and friendly. I tend to go for the same hairstyle and each stylist was able to cut my hair to my liking. The hair wash and massage is always a treat - definitely a great head massage as you lie back and relax. Overall, great salon if you're looking for something around the Willowdale area! My appointment starts on time. As soon as I enter and register, I'm taken around back to start my hair. I'm not sitting waiting for my stylist for 45 minutes nor am I waiting between services. I've once had my hair air dry while waiting for someone to be free to blow dry it. This DOESN'T happen at Azan's. 2. I don't spend all day at the salon. I can actually plan other appointments/events for my day. 3. They don't charge black market kidney prices. My wallet is not as badly affected and they have special pricing for students. 4. My hair has never been healthier. I relax my hair and using chemicals strips it of natural moisture, usually causing it to break and appear like it's not growing. However, my stylist, Karin, really takes care of my hair. I know I'm in good hands and it shows...right there on my head! For these reasons, I keep going back to Azan's.

I had booked an appointment with Sara, I explained to Sara what cut I wanted sadly she wasn't able to give me that cut due to my hair being straight on top and curly mid scalp. I wanted to bring out as many of my curls out as possible (I love my curls) So Sara went to work in the most unconventional way that I have ever experienced (it was new to me) I don't think Sara used a comb or a brush, she started cutting and I had my fingers crossed under the cape. Wanted to try something different and saw this place specializes in curls. I waited about 5 mins after arriving before I got in a chair. My stylist, Sara, did a great job. I showed her a photo and I really don't think she could have matched it any closer. She was kind and attentive throughout the process and made sure things were going in the desired direction. Super pleased with the results. I will definitely be back.
