Love this place! They have a ridiculous amount of beers to choose from. A beer lovers dream come true. Not only do they have craft beer of high quality, the designs on the bottles and cans are pieces of art. I live in California and my Father in law lives in PA. Being that we know the quality of brews, we wanted to specifically buy a 12 pack from here as a gift for Father's Day. The staff was beyond helpful as I had no clue what to select or how to get it delivered. Mike hand picked all of the beer out, boxed them, added two beer glasses, a Fathers Day card, and delivered it for us! I know this was a huge exception. I'm blown away at the service, kindness, great taste in beer and going the extra mile with buying a greeting card. Tremendous gratitude to the staff and this place! All. Of. The. Beer. I've never been so happily overwhelmed in my life. I could spend hours in here just looking at all the options. From seriously obscure to Bud Light, they truly have it all. My wife and I ventured here in search of stuff to drink over the weekend and not only found more than what we wanted, but we could pick a couple chilled brews and drink them on site. They have a little hangout area with TVs. Not sure about their food rules, but if I can bring a pizza in here, grab a beer from their fridge and watch a game, I would come here...often. The staff was friendly, their have their own parking. The whole experience was fantastic. Obviously coming back. Probably this week. read more

Lately I've been a little obsessed with ciders. I had a few specifics I wanted to try or buy again! Trenton Road has so many options for IPA's and ciders. You can make a 6 pack, but individual bottles or grab a case. It's not a huge store but there is lots to choose from. One of the workers was trying to help me locate a certain flavor. He found it in a mixed 12 pack. I thought the helpfulness was great! The pricing on singles is also very as well. I also grabbed some singles of jack Daniels drinks i wanted to try. They take credit cards now, so if that was holding you back from checking out this beer emporium dressed down to look like a regular package store, you now have no excuses. We have at least 100 beers in our basement, three kegs of homebrew, and otherwise have some beer knowledge. When we go to new cities, the first things we do are check out the local beers (for the boy), the yarn stores (for me), and farmers markets (for both of us). When the boy says this is the best combination of selection and selectivity, I have to believe him. Sure, they have the normal beers that everyone wants, but they have so much craft beer. So much. To me, this place is like your favorite used record store of days past. Things are loosely organized into sections, and you wander around discovering new things at every turn. There's even a sale shelf, like the bargain dollar CD bin. Lots of cider, a fair amount of gluten free, and yeah. Just everything. Follow their facebook page for updates about new shipments of rare bottles. We should've gone a little sooner to grab Evil Twin Biscotti Break, since it was already sold out when we got there today, but we left with plenty of other good stuff. read more

This is no other word to describe this place but extremely RUDE. I have been going there for two years now and every single time I go there I am treated like crap and always leaving questioning why I even go here. They are obviously successful enough that they feel they can be impolite and nasty to all their customers and still turn a handsome profit. They are the most disrespectful people, I've ever come across in a business or in the area. It is a beer store, how hard is it to be respectful for a ten second purchase?!? I love this place. It's a dingy little beer and sandwich place in a strip mall in Levittown, but, man, do they have a great beer selection! Most delis and places where you can get a six-pack only sell Coors, Bud, etc., maybe the occasional Sam Adams, but Trenton Road Take Out has the usual stuff AND specialty beer. They've got Purple Haze, Allagash, Anchor, Bellhaven, Blue Moon, Bohemia, Brooklyn, Celis, Chimay, Corsendonk, Dogfish Head, Dos Equis, Duvel, Ephemere, Grolsch, Harpoon, Hoegaarden, Legacy, Leinenkugel, Lindemann's, Magic Hat, Modelo, Ommegang, Orval, Redbach, Rogue, Saison, lots of Sam Adams varieties, Sam Smith, Sly Fox, Smithwick's, Troegs, Victory, and many, many others. I recommend the Allagash or Chimay Dubbel or Trippel. Or you can make dirty Hoes - just buy Hoegaarden and Lindemann's Framboise and mix them. I also like Lindemann's Peche. Aw, who am I kidding? I like practically all of the beer that they sell. They also have sandwiches and stuff, but I've only ever gotten beer here. Check it out if you're in the area next time. read more

Amazing selection of craft beers. They had stuff from breweries in Portland I didn't even know sold outside of the brewery. They had local stuff. They had macrobrews. It's a beer geeks dream. The downside is things are a bit pricey and there doesn't seem to be any real organization. read more

If this place had existed while I still lived in the area... I would've been in so much trouble! Love the easy-going staff, the hot orange tables were you can crack open a beer and eat something off the food truck, and just wandering through their stacks of beer. It seems like they're always bringing in new beer, and if I can't find something there it's because they'd already sold out - so their variety is exceptional for this neck of the woods. As it is, it's great to be able to come here and grab something a little different right out of the fridge and enjoy, because they keep a great selection cold and at the ready. King of craft beer he claims? Hmm I cannot disagree. We trekked here from jersey because the hubs won a bottle of "aged to perfection" beer. I have no idea really, ask him. This place has got a dive-y feel and it's kinda nice. You walk in and there's a bunch of grumpy (ok maybe not grumpy but it sounds funny) old men watching football slinging back cans of miller lite. It's a bit of a drive for me to get to but it's well worth it as they usually have a better selection than most if not all bottle shops in Philly and the surrounding area. Well, not Joe Canal's. This place is dive-y. I will not claim that this is not at all akin the drive thru daiquiri place I've been to in Louisiana. There are a bunch of regulars hanging out drinking beer and watching football games. It's definitely a hangout for the locals. Despite appearances, this place has an impressive spread. I went to school in VA. It has been years since I've seen the likes of Starr Hill or Williamsburg AleWerks up this way. Well, guess who's got them? These guys. You can make your own six pack here. All bottles are priced individually, which is pretty great for those looking for a true sampling experience. Prices are pretty fair for high end stuff, typically ranging from just under $2 per bottle to about $3 (some are more, some are less). As others have stated, CASH ONLY. They don't seem to even have a price scanner here: they literally key in the price tag amount stuck on each beer cap. As someone who was originally trained as an auditor, this terrifies me in terms of inventory control, but this seems to be working for them? I'm am always surprised at the selection, price, and rules at Trenton Road take out. I've found some of the most elusive brews (DFH olde time BWSA, Stone Double Bastard, etc) and some of the cheapest craft brew ever ($5 sixes of Saranac Imperial Stout). However, if you want to get more than two sixes at a time, you have to make two trips... apparently it's the law. Weird law, great place. Bring cash -- no credit cards accepted. read more

If you are serious about beer, you will love the Trenton Road Take Out. They have an excellent selection of singles, 4-packs, six packs, pints, quarts, and champagne bottle-sized servings of beer and cider. Plus, they have a tap area where one can purchase a growler of a handful of craft selections on draft. There are a few tables in the store for enjoying beer on the premises. The nice thing about the singles - they are proportionately priced (or close to it), so one doesn't pay a huge markup for mix and match shopping. The staff are helpful and friendly, even to a lightweight like me, who picks 2 or 3 singles to try on a typical visit. They have a wonderful Facebook page highlighting the newest deliveries, specials, and featured tap selections. They sell lottery tickets, too. This has to be one of the best bottle shops in the Philadelphia area! I was told by one of my in laws about the spot, so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. As soon as you walk in, you see shelves upon shelves of different beers! You can get anything from local craft, big macros, or even beer from across the globe! The staff here was very friendly and willing to help direct us around the maze of beer, since it was our first time. The prices are pretty decent here, unlike most downtown bottle shops. Thanks to all the Yelpers who helped us find this fantastic store, with an amazing selection of craft beers at great prices that you can buy individually or in make-your-own-six packs. (I will never understand PA beer laws, but anyplace where you don't have to buy 4,000 beers at once is worthy of note.) The selection beat anyplace down by us (right outside DC), and there were tons of breweries we'd never seen before, as well as a good selection from bigger names (the Bruery, Hardywood, etc.). Not quite sure why this has any good reviews (and I'm not the type to review anything but It made me get to this point that I downloaded the app and made an account) but as soon as I walked into the store it smelled disgusting, all of the alcohol is displaced and scattered all over, boxes on the floor, had a male staff member follow me everywhere looking through the aisles like I didn't see him watching me. And the worst part isn't even the drunk guys sitting in there harassing people it's the fact that I leave and drive 5 miles back to my house and my drinks are expired! BY MORE THAN 6 MONTHS!!! Tried to call and leave a message about it just as a heads up...nobody answered...this places acts solely for me as "damn it's too late to go anywhere else"......but.. Located in a pedestrian strip mall in Levittown PA, Trenton Road Takeout has probably one of the best beer selections in Bucks County. The store could use some updating, but honestly, who cares. Really awesome place to stop and grab beer. I personally like to try something new when it comes to beer every time I can. This, however, means I generally have to make a trip into philly our far away. I love that this place is close to my house. When I entered I saw the store was stuffed with unconventional beers. Then I saw that the beers were priced well and not over what I was expecting to spend. I found some new favorites and some old favorites for great prices. The staff was SUPER friendly. I really enjoyed being approached by a knowledgeable individual who made great selections while also helping me find exactly what I came in to buy. I really appreciate how they mentioned everything in the store they felt I might be interested in based on very little information and what was in my hand. I really can't say how pleased I was with the customer service. I was very impressed. Before I left I was told about their internet presence and how they show off their new beers via instagram which I felt was a great way to show me more stuff I should buy. :) As I got back into my car, pleased with my visits, I also saw that they serve breakfast sandwiches (via a sign out front) all day.
