We then came to Back Porch and it was next door to another shop. To be conpletely honest, we walked in and it was completely dead in the stire aside from three people seated at a table and talking. It was a bit awkward becuse they looked over at us and just stared. They then continued quietly talking. I walked around inside and I did not really see anything that caught my eye. I did see an interesting vase but it seemed a bit overpriced. We did not stay long in the shop and decided to walk over next door. Some items may appear quite pricey, but they seemed very rare and antique. I was excited to see some crystals in one of the glass cases. They had a super awesome pyrite one and it was super cheap too. I was going to buy it but I do not have anymore room in my collection at this time. They seemed fairly priced though. They had quite a lot of other pieces as well. I did see a unique coin section too. The employees behind the counter seemed very knowledgable as well. As I was about to pass by, these beautiful bird houses caught my eye outside. I turned to look inside and saw a lot of beautiful treasures. I am so so happy that we decided to stop in because my husband found a super awesome and beautiful knife. The woman at the counter is one of the owners and she told us a gentleman in New Baltimore handmakes all of the knives. The great thing about this shop is that it is owned by two brothers and their mother. They even have a bed and breakfast upstairs as well. The gentleman said he even can bargain sometimes which is awesome! They are super lovely people and I enjoyed talking to them. I will definitely be back to check out the bird houses.

Stopped by today to look around. I found a vase for $2.09 with tax it came to $2.22. I actually…read morehad the exact amount to pay but young cashier asked for $2.25. I inquired why are you asking for more then the total. The cashier stated that the computer doesn't take pennies. Of course the computer doesn't accept pennies. Don't you mean the store doesn't take pennies? I stated, it was 2.22 common sense math teaches us to round to the nearest tenth so wouldn't it be $2.20?Apparently SVD prefers to be the advantageous beneficiary so they round up. I'm not certain of the legality of that without consent, but when I taught elementary math we would round down if the number is less than halfway. I noticed that their prices continue to spike and set so that they can round up and take advantage of people's extra pennies. In many cases the items are priced above the cost brand new. Again the cashier the computer stating the register picks the price clearly marked $2.22 on the digital register. SVD your customers aren't ignorant just because they like to thrift shop and leave less of an imprint on our environment. perhaps instead of pocketing the money you should just round down appropriately if you're not going to take pennies.
