They are worth trying even if you don't normally eat bread. All are made in house. Some of the more unusual ingredients were maguey worms, grasshoppers, and ant larvae. We didn't try these. Although there were vegetables that I like, the huitlacoche and huazontles came with other you ingredients that I don't eat, so I ordered chilaquiles verdes and my husband had the enchiladas de cochinita pibil. The chilaquiles were freshly fried to a crisp (no packaged totopos here), served with a mild green sauce (I'd prefer a bit more heat) and were topped with avocado, thinly sliced purple onion and a light amount of finely grated queso freso and crema. The portion was too large for me and could be shared. My husband enjoyed his dish and found the seasoning to be well balanced, not overpowering. Coffee was good, if not quite hot enough.
The ambiance is traditional Mexican and always crowded even by 9:00 am. Service is polite and professional.
