I had the pleasure of attending the Reclamation Project art show. This show was based in partnership which I thought was pretty neat. My two good friends who are sisters completed a phenomenal piece together. This was my first time attending anything in this venue but it was nice to discover. There is a parking lot right outside but it does fill up quickly. The space itself is small. The art show was very busy and the space was packed out. It was beautiful to see so many people come out and support. I'm excited to see what other shows/events they will have in the future. read more

I had the pleasure of getting my tattoo done at this shop yesterday. I had heard nothing but good things so I was excited to get my second tattoo here. I arrived at the shop and was greeted by their front "desk" (there's no desk it's just a table lol) girl who was very sweet and willing to answer any of my questions. Bang did my tattoo and was very chill and easy-going. I was a little unsure of exactly how I wanted my tattoo to look at first but she was very patient with me and very professional. I got a mid-sized oak tree tattoo on my back with a lot of very little details and she took her time and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. My tattoo came out beautiful and I couldn't be happier. SN: It completely slipped my mind and I forgot to tip. I'll definitely be back and have her do more work and tip her twice. If you're looking for great quality work from a talented artist and a comfortable atmosphere , I'd definitely go here. They also play really great music too so that's a plus. read more

We had a phone consultation he asked questions to get a feel of what I liked. As all his works are original so a few days later I paid my deposit and here I am. He greeted me at the door by name, the staff was really nice and professional. The shop is lined with really awesome art work, very clean, open and airy. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TATTOO!!!! The price was respectable for the quality of work received. I already told Lord Yatta that the only way someone else will tattoo me is if I make a trip to Japan lol. He is now my artist. Did not have a good experience with email communication with the assistant. The wait time is already 24-48 hours for a response in which I waited a week to be told that my tattoo couldn't of been covered up at all (could of been stated the first email communication). Most of the emails I received could of been put in one email instead several emails i.e. me waiting 48 hours just to receive a sentence. I'm a fan of Daves work and it would of been an amazing to get a tattoo by him. Im all about supporting people's business but the communication was far from good. My advice to anyone wanting a tattoo email a month ahead of time. read more

I've heard about this place from a few of my friends and decided to give it a shot. I brought in a picture that my mom doodled for me before she got sick. My artist was bang. The stencil looked great and everything was fine until I noticed my tattoo started looking less and less like the drawing itself. When I brought this to her attention, she told me that she was the artist, not me. The mood became very awkward. The end result is too dark and looks like I had a bruise on my leg. When I mentioned something to red, he chuckled and have this "are you serious" look to bang and they both laughed. I would like to return but I feel like my visit was very unprofessionally handled. Heard about this place by referral from a friend. She had gone when they were in the West End area. Great artwork in this place that can also spark creativity for great tattoo ideas in case you're undecided. We were greeted by Red, the owner. He was very friendly and welcoming, and the word on the street is that his body art skills are no joke! Bang did my tattoo. So uhm, I guess you can say I got 'Banged out'? Ha ha! ...ahem...yeah, sooooo uhhmmm...as I was saying, mine was a simple image since I was matching it to my girl's (it was her first time getting inked), but Bang did a great job providing us consultation on some things to consider regarding the styling of the image. The work-space and equipment was very clean. Bang had us in and out in no time. Very disappointed with the service at this place. People that I know have shared disappointments about art work not coming out like they asked, poor service from artists with bad attitudes , and over pricing but I wanted to give them a try because they are blacked owned and local. First mistake is every time I called to make an appointment ( it's appointment only) no one answers the phone. Eventually I received a text from the owner Red,to set an appointment. He asked what I wanted and sizing questions. I did not have a tape measure around ( most people I know don't have one laying around unless it's a requirement in their profession)so I sent him pictures of the size I wanted and paid the deposit. It's my birthday so I was super excited to get work done only to be disappointed shortly after I arrived. Not to my knowledge he already created a piece for me based on the picture I sent for sizing purposes only.This is odd for him because he usually draws the art when I arrive...I have other art from him. I only wanted a very simple all black plant shaped tattoo.So I told him that it's similar to what I want but it's not actually what I wanted, it just needed a very small fix ( keep in mind my friend got a tattoo from this shop and they didn't care about creating exactly what he wanted, he ended up paying for something he disliked! And it's permanent!) He didn't like that I wanted to change anything so he refused to do my art. It's his shop so I respected his wishes but it's very disappointing that I waited a week just to get my art done for my birthday and for him not to serve me because I wanted a slight change to the tattoo before he put it on my body. It's insane to me! Also, he speaks to you in a very condescending tone which makes one feel like you a loser if you don't want the art exactly how he created it... this sucks because it's my body.
